I really liked the 3d aspect of the game and the simple to understand controls. 1 look and I knew what to do. Wish enemies would maybe speed up as time goes maybe though?
Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
Cool art! I wish enemies were a little more common though, but eventually it felt like a proper challenge.
Thank you for playing. I have set it so spawn rate increases every 8 seconds to a max of 0.5 sec for enemies and 1 sec for obstacles. Though now that I look at it, I didn't do the math right and it increases by too little.
Cool idea and art st yle
Thank you for playing!
Very cool idea and solid base that you could develop in many different directions (pun?) lol
Thank you for playing! lmao
Honestly great game, fun from the get-go!
I'm very curious as to how you coded the whole rotational movement with the bullet path warping there.
Would have LOVED to see a second type of enemy, maybe with a different flight pattern or fire rate. But great job!
Thank you for playing!
The player is actually in the middle of the pillar and it's just being rotated.
The bullets are only moving forward. It looks like that because the camera is rotating around the pillar with the player and the movement and rotation is smoothed out.
Dude that's great! Thanks for sharing your process here. I appreciate it!
Nice jam submission, I really like the artstyle!
A cool play on on-rails space shooters. I'd recommend tweaking the difficulty a bit since I managed to stay in one spot and it felt like both the obstacles and other ships were always somewhere else. The gameplay also gave me a bit of a headache unfortunately (I think due to mild motion sickness from moving around the column). I'd recommend trying out a vertical perspective instead, but I might be an edge case.
Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
I think I need to rework the enemy and obstacle spawning so it's more targeted towards the player instead of being random. I got a headache too from testing it and even lowered the bloom because it was a lot worse. Maybe a filter to darken the background while the player is moving would fix it.
It a cool game
Thank you for playing!
Very fun and I really like the combination of 3d and 2d. Maybe some sort of cooldown on the weapon would be good (I held shoot and W and was practically invincible :P)
Thank you for playing!
The problem with shooting was that if the fire rate was too slow you couldn't hit anything, but shooting too fast made the game easier and I wasn't able to find a middle ground. Maybe if shooting was in bursts it could work. I will see if I could make it better after the jam.
Very fun arcade style shooter!
Thank you for playing!
The game is fun, and I really like the art style and music! I also enjoy how the difficulty seems to ramp up the longer you play
Thank you for playing! I have been trying to mix 3d environment with 2d sprites and I think it works really well.
