Great paranoid yarn. Reminds me of poe and his stories of obsession, or the "the yellow wallpaper". Choice stuff.

Developer

Thank you! I'm a huge fan of  Poe, and it would absolutely thrill me if my game reminds you of his style. I hope the subsequent music can better convey that sense of eeriness and tension.

Not a fan of Visual novels, but this one is really good. The plot is interesting, I felt the guy because when I wrote the diary, I got that feeling before lol. Btw, at first tried, I accidentally pressed the space bar to choose the choice I didn't mean to (I'm kind of rash sometimes). Some music add the ending would be the perfect end for me.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm truly glad that you experienced feelings similar to writing a diary. We will definitely update with suitable music to enhance the immersion.

Took a while to form an opinion on this one. I liked the art a lot. The sound effect of selecting a option felt jarring when there was no ambience. The game genre wasn't my cup of tea. Overall the controls were simple and everything worked. Good Job!

Developer

Thanks for playing and I'm so glad you like the art style! Yes, we've noticed many comments focus on the music and sound effects that we didn't have enough time to refine, which sometimes makes the game feel a bit abrupt. We'll definitely address this in future updates. Thanks again!

Impressive writing and great art. The sound is not various, but hits the right spots. Hope you're doing well!

Thanks! I really love your art and text too, very impressive retro style.

Beautiful art. I wish there were more scene changes, but I understand the time constraints.

Developer

Yes, we'll gradually add more scenes and BGM after the Jam to make the story more expressive. Thank you for playing!

Poignant but for me really needed some voice line or jarring or calming reactive music to give me more to engage me in the experience

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your suggestions. Due to time constraints, we weren't able to focus much on the music and SFX, but we'll look into adding them in future updates after the Jam ends. Thanks again!

Okay, it's awesome, I already said that on the main page.

But one thing I find odd, it's the lack of sounds. Music could be cool and when the things become deep the music stops and that could make it feel more intense. But I can understand if Y'all did not use music at all, feels intimate and uncomfortable. But in that case, the use of more SFX could make it better, more inmersive.

But that apart, again, incredible work.

Developer

Yes, it's a pity that due to our limited experience, we only have two part-time members working on development aside from localization tasks, so we were unable to incorporate music/sound effects before the deadline.

I understand that adding musical variations at emotional climaxes or intense moments would have been highly impressive. Even though the jam has ended, I still plan to ask a professional composer friend to create music for this game in the coming months. Thank you for your suggestion—please stay tuned for future updates!

Intriguing story, I'm not a big fun of visual novels but I enjoyed this one! Also, I really love the art and the dithering effect

Developer

Thanks for playing! It's a good way to show some impressive scenes by using 1-bit style.

And I love your game too, it hits me with a very nostalgic feeling, I love these visuals just like CRT style.

is gray counted as another color?

Submitted

Yes

So this technically isn't 1 bit

Submitted

Yeah, like a lot of games in this jam, but is commonly accepted to use some shades of gray

Developer

A strict 1-bit style should consist of two colors. Theoretically, shadows should be represented using a black and white dithering effect, but due to our limited time and technical constraints, this aspect is not strictly 1-bit. We will strive to explore shading techniques in the future.
