No rubber ducks were harmed during the recording of this album

Your sounds are so cool; that ancient, medieval vibe is really good.

And oh my god, the flute in "A Song of Adventure" is incredible—so full of life, it sounds real. Definitely my favorite track.

So cool work, full of weird sounds, time to time creepy, really good job!

"Poor customer service" my beloved 🗣️

So serene and mysterious, such good songs.

I loved Frostbite Fissure, the droplet sounds are cool *laugh*

Lovely work 🫂

This is probably one of the genres I least expected for the picture theme.

We’re reviving dark fantasy with this one *fire emoji*

Recorded sounds? Audacity?
Surprising choices, an interesting vibe, lovely concept art, and top marks for creativity.

  • "Kmart" was unexpected—though I have to mention that ticking sound used as percussion; I’m not sure if it’s a metronome or a clock.
  • "Pallandrome": I like the vibe—mysterious and serene. I was about to comment on the static and those strange sounds, but then the title clicked and I realized what they were, so I felt compelled to listen to the track in reverse. Creating a song that’s listenable in either direction and calling it a palindrome—you really knocked it out of the park in terms of creativity.

Great job—it's awesome that you took the plunge and participated in a jam for the first time!
Keep composing; I’d love to see what else you create in the future.

  • "Ancient Cistern" sounds quite interesting and somewhat mysterious; I really like those deep, low-end sounds. Then come those little glockenspiel comments—it’s as if you’re utilizing just the two extremes of the spectrum.
  • "Flood Keeper" starts off like a sort of reimagining of the first track; it feels very calm for a battle theme, though I’m not sure what kind of game you have in mind. Once it hits the 1:30 mark, things really pick up—that new, faster rhythm and the percussion work really well.

Awesome work!

  • I love the cello in "Where Am I"; the song starts off mysteriously and evolves into something more hopeful and emotional—really beautiful.
  • "SOULSEETHER" is full of energy—I love it. The violin melody was charming, but then that trumpet kicks in and changes everything—the stabs, the groove—it's amazing.
  • "Exotic Warfare" has so many little things going on at once; it's super interesting. I can definitely picture these tracks as part of a chaotic bullet-hell.
  • To be honest, I expected a sweeter, less mysterious sound, but wow—you quickly set a tone that reminds me this is a story rooted in tragedy.
    • That violin melody is striking, and—my goodness—is that a real recording? It sounds so lifelike. The rapid music box accompaniment is incredible.
  • It really feels like stepping into an old, abandoned cathedral; that intro is amazing. The way the bells come in at the end is phenomenal—tense, even ominous, given the nature of the instrument and the context.

This is a stunning, emotive, mysterious, and highly convincing work for a much sadder, more serious story. At the same time, it makes perfect sense for a puzzle game: I’m not fighting or jumping—I’m analyzing pieces—so your serene, evocative tracks fit the genre beautifully.

As a quick note, the yellow text is barely visible against your green background ._.

I didn't expect to be struck by the most moving piano music in the world when I started listening to an album with cover art that looks like it was made in MS Paint—but here we are, discovering that I actually have feelings.

The pervasive sadness the album evokes is striking; you have a real knack for conveying emotion. And yet, it still surprises with percussion and new sounds that offer a sense of hope.

You’ve got a great story here—that ending is truly heartbreaking: "the world you created to escape is just as chaotic as the one you were running away from."

Side note: I love your cover art—long live simple, charming drawings!

  • Okay, we’re going hard af from the very first second—though the way the roar fades out and comes back, reappearing with new ideas... that’s a really interesting intro you’ve got on the first track.
  • The interlude was quite an experience; I think that out of all the sounds I expected for this soundtrack, sleigh bells were pretty low on the list. Hey, those whispers—or whatever they are—work really well; horrors beyond my comprehension and all that.
  • I like how the intro to the second track feels like a return to the sounds we heard in the other two songs. The track as a whole has a strange vibe that fits the themes and aesthetic you’re establishing perfectly. I really liked that odd section where there was a song buried beneath the distortion while all the sounds kept building up. And the sense of anxiety in the section right before the final violins kicked in was brilliant.

By the way, that choice of cover art is great—totally badass. It’s the kind of game I would’ve wanted to own, but my parents wouldn’t have let me have it because it had skeletons in it, haha.

I like your approach to the concept of abandonment—exploring a landscape and seeing old objects, places, and memories now reclaimed by nature. It is a sight that evokes both nostalgia and beauty. You capture that very well in your song; referencing C418 and Lena Raine makes perfect sense, though I must say that here you are much more melodic and fast-paced than in Minecraft, which gives the piece a unique touch that goes beyond mere homage.

I appreciate the sense of hope the piece sometimes evokes; it isn't all nostalgia and sadness.
We must rise up to build; we must rise up to love.

By the way, I hadn't seen that photo you chose for your cover since I was a teenager. Brings back good memories of forums and role-playing groups, haha

A very fun entry; I like your approach and melody design.

I really like your handling of percussion; you have good rhythms and a knack for choosing percussive textures. However, I would like to point out that at times the percussion sounds louder than the melody (especially in the main theme), which can be a bit distracting.

  • "Village theme" is charming, whimsical, and fun.
  • "Festival dance"—okay, there’s a lot of energy here; I like the groove—I’d definitely dance to this one.

I must say I didn't expect the presence of more modern instruments, but that’s a minor detail and certainly not a drawback.

The design, the choice of timbres, the chords, the vibes—everything about this OST is impressive.
I'd kiss your brain.

  • "Forgotten" The piano was already pretty great on its own, and then the voices took me by surprise—but that violin? Mind-blowing, elegant, beautiful.
    • And that duet climax is just amazing—I'm dying—a marvelous song.
  • I was about to say that "Ground Level" was being much more subtle, and then the whole chorus kicked in and silenced me. I absolutely love that section—so huge, so full.

An amazing job—I really like your more emotional approach to the theme, and my goodness, you have a simply astonishing ability to convey emotion in your music.

  • "Mom's Lullaby" is so sweet and tender; it hits just the right note.
  • "Here Comes Trouble" is so much fun—I love it. All that chaos, the sounds, the effects—it's amazing.
  • "Muscle Memory"—the return of your mother's melody; awwwww it's wonderful—so emotional and magical.
    • By the way, great choice of title, given the description about getting used to one another.
  • If I had a penny for every time a song on this album hit me with nostalgia and tender feelings, I'd have quite a few. Anyway, "The Quiet Country" is so sweet, and that cello is just delightful to listen to.

Your way of blending real and electronic instruments is awesome.
I also want to mention that the percussion is insane at times

  • I'm loving that chiptune sound in "Dreamers Lay Atop The Field of Clouds."
  • "Re-Realization of Shattered Dreams" is a killer track, so hyped!

I came here to assert my place as a jammie *fire emoji*

Fanart for U :3

Criminally underrated; it’s one of the best enries I’ve come across.
So much charm, great melodies, awesome sounds, and spectacular cover art.

Incredible work!

Great job!

The voice on "Lullaby" is so nice and beauty
I loved "Air Kingdom waltz" a lot :D

Updated :3

I love the sounds you chose; they have that video game charm without sounding truly sharpy like some old SF2s. Great work, lovely compositions!

  • "The Dreaming Forest" has so much charm, a lovely melody, and a very good instruments selection.
  • "A Night Under the Canopy" is nice—the other one stands out more, but that’s not a bad thing; it fits a dream sequence well, so it makes sense for it to be calm.

First of all, damn—that story and description go really hard D:

The influence of "Everywhere At The End Of Time" is noticeable, yet it still has its own charm; I like the sporadic sound effects you add as stingers. You know how to create atmospheres.

Wow, "A Time Feels Off Misplaced" is like a personal little hell; the style and timbre of that marimba are so similar to the ones played in the traditions of my region, and the way the sounds fade away amidst the static—evoking the very concept of forgetting—terrifying.

Those long tracks of ambient sound, static, and silence are difficult to listen to, but they work within their context and narrative, so I have no complaints.

Overall, a great job; you really knock it out of the park when it comes to creativity and storytelling. You even moved me emotionally with the marimba song I mentioned earlier, and that more than fulfilled the primary purpose of music itself.

The choice of instruments is so convincing, the result makes a great ambient, and the vibe truly feels like it’s captured in time.

  • I really liked "Unanswered" and the way the lead instrument constantly changes.
  • And "Feydance" is simply brilliant—such a sweet energy.
    • I don't know how historically accurate it is, but that track is the one that would have benefited most from the use of tambourines.

//We're calling the fey with this one *fire emoji*

Your sound, your texture, your vibe—this is definitely a game with fast-paced, chaotic gameplay.
You’ve done an excellent job here!

  • "To Surpass Gods" really conveys the intensity of approaching a place you shouldn't be; I like that movement of the synth swirling around.
    • Those brass at the end? Is that a reference? Haha
  • "Inhumane Humanity" is as strange as it is amazing; I appreciate that you even included a detailed description of each section. THAT SECTION WITH THE STRINGS AT THE END? SUCH A CONTRAST—I LOVE IT.
  • "Unyielding"—the strings are back, let's go! Lots of movement, lots of intensity—great track.
  • "Lamb Suit"—what a great song; those backing vocals and the SFX are amazing. It feels strange, fast-paced—a really good scene.
  • "Too Late"—and we wrap up; it's nice to have some calm after so much intensity. Good track.

//Wow, that Joey guy is a jerk

Good work here; you have clear ideas and know what you want to convey.
My general recommendation would be to use less harsh-sounding plugins/soundfonts.

  • The "Main Menu" sounds so peaceful and magical—incredible.
  • At first I wasn't understanding why the overworld themes felt so repetitive, but it's because they're dynamic, so they're fine in that sense, but I would recommend that the layers be more distinct from each other, or play with the rhythm of each one to create variation.
  • The boss theme is well put together; I like those stabs, as well as the return of the choir like in the menu theme, and the metallic hits, like in the general combat theme. Although I feel that the lack of percussion or an accompaniment serving a rhythmic function takes away some of the intensity.
  • The end-credits theme is really nice; it feels conclusive and is probably the most cheerful song of the bunch.
    • My only comment would be that the shaker sounds too loud.

OMG YOUR MAIN THEME IS SO CUTE AND CHARMING

The themes for each character are nice and fit their personalities well.
An incredible touch including visuals and descriptions of each character and the story.

It's a spectacular piece of work, so charming and sweet! :D

Incredible work—a really cool, ancient sound—and wow, live-recorded instruments? This is the first entry I’ve seen with this use of instruments.

  • The main theme is really great, compelling enough to make me feel like I'm on a medieval adventure.
  • "Ancient Pathways" has charm; the way the harp is used for arpeggios and to shape a melody is brilliant.
  • "Forest of the Remembered" is incredibly mysterious and great; the moment the melody kicks in on the strings is amazing, and that section with the vocals is absolutely stunning.

It begins with that mysterious softness, perfectly suited for introducing an unknown world. Then, the entry of the strings lends a mystical air as the epicness begins to build; a whole world is unfolding in front of the protagonist's eyes.

That intro with the music box is charming, and the way it begins to transform with the guitars—building to an epic, adventurous sound—is amazing.

//The idea of an abandoned project being directly related to the theme—you are my tribe, haha.

(1 edit)

I appreciate the honesty and seriousness of the approach you’ve taken to the theme. It comes through beautifully in the songs; they aren't merely sad in that sweet, melancholic sense, oh no, they are painful and nostalgic. I truly feel the presence of the lost dreams behind those gray walls.

My favorite is definitely "Concrete Giants"—it's charming with that piano, has a good melody, and that string section is beautiful.

(1 edit)

It really succeeds in capturing that childlike sound; everything feels very cute and sweet. Good job!

Perhaps adding more melodies, accompaniments, or sections could improve the overall listening experience, as they sound somewhat empty at times.

The Main Theme is awesome, I love it!

Using motivic development as a way to represent the remembering seems incredibly clever to me.

Great work!
By the way, "Recognize" is so fun and lively; a banger :D

I know that with these visuals it looks like I'm selling you a healthy smoothie or mint-chocolate ice cream.

Just give me a moment D:

Charming, really charming, I would love to see your dynamic music variations in action with the gameplay.

I have to praise your boss and battle themes; they have the intensity needed for a fight scene, yet never lose the charm and whimsy found in the rest of the soundtrack—I can only picture a lovely, bright world that needs saving.

The amount of love and effort that must go into giving a entry visuals, lore, 3D elements, and cover art—it’s incredible; a truly wonderful job on your part.

I love that use of natural and wooden percussion; it really stands out against the synthetic sounds and works beautifully to represent the Sylvians.

//The shrimp with lacrimosa, yeah, mood.

Great job; I can definitely picture myself exploring dead worlds while listening to this. I like the retro video game vibe created by that choice of old fashioned synths.

  • I really like the groove on "Hike in Rolling Red," and that bass is incredible.
  • "The Reactor" is really cool, so alien, i liked the steam SFX and the tech vibe.
  • "Respite in Reactor" sounds nice, good sounds and melody.

It is truly quiet, tranquil, and silent. And above all, melancholic; all good ways to portray the decline of a world on the brink of the end. Really cool.

  • "Abandoned" is really nice and eerie, I liked those crunchy strings, they sound like opening rusty gates.
  • I can understand why everyone is praising "Shrine in Solitude"; it's nice: mysterious, dark, and eerie.
  • "Only the Wind Answered" is so sad; I really like the handling of the dynamics—some piano chords are intense, like the blows of someone in denial, while others are so calm and hopeless, accepting the end.

A very good job; I liked "Endless Adventure" a lot.

The only thing I’d say works against it, is that they feel disconnected from one another—even when they represent the zone's theme and the zone's boss. It doesn't have to be a bad thing, especially since there are only two tracks, and expanding the OST allows for reusing some of the instruments and creating greater coherence.

That said, the melodies are memorable and great to listen to for a good while; in fact, since they’re YT-Shorts, I listened to the loop at least three times per song xd
