THIS IS SO FIRE MAN BRAVO! Warped is my favorite I love how it developed into that infectious drum pattern towards the end. This soundtrack is very cohesive and has bangers all around. Earjammers is also fire. I can feel the emotion through the song. You blended genres so seamlessly.

Another jammie joins the ranks

Before I talk about the album itself, I must mention that the premise of this game is really funny and my fav story in this jam lol, the band just making their up way into history is a really fun plot. The art is also really good, the band members' character designs have a lot of personality to them.

The album itself was really nice all around, it has a very unique identity and sound to it and I loved it a whole bunch. It feels futuristic yet oddly hopeful in a lot of places. The Earjammers are sort of like a lightbulb, shining over the dark, plain planet of Eargia.

Throughout a few of the songs, one can hear a duty-cycle pulse reminiscent of the old consoles' chiptunes (Prominent in Front to Back at around 0:30. It even plays the game's main leitmotif!). It sort of gave me this bubbly, rose tinted feeling I got when listening to the Steven Universe OST (I recommend it, it's fairly unique) and I had a smile whenever it showed up.

Warped was pretty, I loved the sudden DnB switch up near the end, my fav part of the song. Front to Back had something similar going on as well near its end, really reminded me of those early 2000s PS2 games.

Go Go Go reminds me of Jealous by Eyedress, so of course it was my favourite track in the whole thing. The last 2 tracks in the game especially really give off the feel that they were actually played by the band live, while the first feel more like theme songs that play in the world itself.

Fitting to its name, Earjammers capped off the whole thing pretty well. The way it starts off with a leitmotif found in both Warped and Front to Back was a really nice touch, a really good musical idea implemented well whenever it appears. The pop rock influence really comes through, my favourite part of it was the 8 bit pulse that plays at around 0:35, which I think might be microtonal in the way it goes up in pitch? The way you can still hear while the heavenly guitar and all the other instruments go crazy in the background is just plain awesome.

Overall, this shit rocks. Congrats!

This is definitely a standout submission for me. Each track was extremely catchy and the quality is off the charts. The premise for the game was also really fun. Fantastic submission all around, congrats!

I don’t know why, but the track “GO! GO! GO!” really reminds me of various songs by post-punk bands from the 2000’s (I know it’s not post-punk at all). It’s a good soundtrack, I really enjoyed it!

I think I remember hearing "WARPED" in the discord before and really liked the harmonies then, so cool that you got to finish it:) The soundtrack is really different to other submissions I heard, in a good way! Nice use of the leitmotifs throughout and at parts super funky. Keep it up:)

Interesting piano part in second track. Its like trying to be louber and stylish, but can then give to give a beutiful part of the song. I liked your OST

great attention-grabbing opening and then every song after that not only brings something new to the table, but also keeps introducing new elements throughout so that there's never a dull moment in this soundtrack. EARJAMMERS is a banger and i'd love to hear it with vocals one day btw

Your submissions are well done and so fun! In a jam with this theme, and I am guilty of this as well, I have listened to a lot of ethereal and longing pieces. I think you nailed the theme and put so much energy into the atmosphere. Also bit of an aside, based on these tracks I am guessing you are a drummer? Thanks for sharing and loved it.

Developer(+1)

i am Not a drummer at all 😭😭😭 thanks for listening though :D

Insane production across the board (I did have to turn down some songs because my ears be sensitive) but I love the premise, WARPED is my favorite just for the second half alone, great stuff :))

Submitted(+1)

had to listen to this on low volume while completing an office hour... but i will definitely be returning to this later!!! wow i love me some breakcore drums... i do really like your style of composition and choice in chord progressions! the texture & timbre of each track is well thought out as well, as nothing seems out of place - everything is super cohesive and high quality. great job me likey

This actually feels like it was specifically made for me. This was by and large the most unique entry I've heard in any jam, it feels like Anamanaguchi and Vylet Pony had a love child. I'm rarely inspired by a soundtrack but holy shit this blew me away (sorry for the glaze). I could genuinely listen to this forever. Phenomenal work!!

Developer(+1)

WOAHH thank you so much!!!!! it's my job to make my music a little quirky haha

also HELLO Vylet mention... i legit sampled the antonymph acapella in the 3rd song 😭😭

ARRIVAL: Wow. Does feel alien though in a very pleasant way. This is so sweet.

WARPED: Sound choices are again immaculate. Those piano rhythms are so cool.

FRONT TO BACK: *untz untz untz* I really love this. I really love that little Phrygian flavor sprinkled in with the 2 use. Club banger fr

GO! GO! GO!: That lead at 0:52. So good.

EARJAMMERS: Such a sweet conclusion to the OST. Very strong credits feel and got goosebumps around 1:56.  So good!

Excellent OST.

Amazing work, I'm waiting for this to go to streaming so I can add it to my daily playlists.

  • "Arrival"—yes, I am definitely being teleported to an alien planet.
  • "Warped" It's relaxing and hopeful; I really like your choice of sounds, and those subtle percussion touches at the start and middle are lovely.
  • "Front to Back" I’ll call it techno (I had no idea of how to call this); from the very first moment, it sounded like a video game—even before the chiptune synth was added. Really cool and making me move.
  • "Go! Go! Go!" Okay, we're adding energy and some rock—it’s definitely the kind of thing I imagine from one of those underground friends bands with 15 monthly listeners would have on streaming.
  • "Earjammers" That chiptune intro that then evolves was amazing; overall, it feels very nostalgic, even though the guitars give it an epic sound from time to time.

Love the hybrid composition. My favorite track was warped, especially the cello.

Developer(+1)
