Funny intro XD . The art is actually very good. The game has a lot of bugs :(. I have 1 recommendation for you: Zoom out the camera, I think this makes the game a lot more enjoyable.

Main character design is absouletly adoreable. I have a few tips about design part.

Firstly on the image settings of the assets you used change it to 2dspirte and configure the settings to simple, point and no compression this should create a cleaner look instead of blurry background.

Maybe move the camera a bit backward so we can see whats around. add colliders to the end of the screen so we dont go out of bounds. Lastly for the animation check add the trigger right after the check you make for the input and untick has exit time so animation can start instantly when we change our direction.

My advice would be work on it. Little by little add UI, sound effects a cozy story a bit more assets around I really love the drawings. Keep up the good work.

Great art! You should be proud of the game you made! its no small feat to pull off something like this!

Cute, great effort! Of course the art will be getting the praise here but make no mistake, the effort in the code is also obvious. Getting the sprite to change directions as the character moves and idle when not moving, picking up shells when the correct button is pressed AND you are close enough, playing the right dialogue at the right time. Keep up the work and you are going places!

The art is really cute and the walk cycle is really charming. Game dev is hard and I just started learning too. Keep your heads up, you guys will get there!

The art is nice, I liked the colors. The intro text way too pessimistic though, I think you guys did okay. Keep up the spirits!

The message at the start made me sad :( of course there's still plenty to improve but it's a very good effort! It's not the worst in the jam at all, the art is cute and the gameplay has good direction. Game dev is fun and there's nothing wrong with a small project, you should be proud you mad it to the end

I collected the shells and found some place that the girl decided to decorate. After that, I went home, and everything restarted again. Maybe it's some kind of bug, idk, but at heart the game is definitely aimed at being a real rogue-like :D

The drawing is really beautiful and smooth, I liked it, I think you should try this style in other ideas <3
