Very cool atmosphere in the game. I loved the graphics and the sound design.

Some of the aliens are not easy to tell as they look a bit human shadow, but I guess it would have been too easy if everyone was covered by tentacles.

 Great job!

Developer

Yeah, even though we have a special set of ailen shadows, the coder decided to mix in the human shadows as well to make it more challenging woop

The mood is very cool and immersive, love the concept. Feel like I'am good at this job haha

Developer

Wow, thank you so much for checking out the game! Sure that anybody can beat the Human mode is already good at this job haha

Very unique, the controls felt a little unnatural and I found myself looking down at the keyboard to confirm I was clicking the right key haha, but I agree with another commenter that it almost added to the experience, giving a command board vibe. Love it

Developer

Same here for me, but in the end, only when I'm able to not look down the keys that I'm able to win the game, so that's the challenge right there! Thank you for playing it!

I love the design of your game. I also appreciate the details you included, showing that when a human dies, the blood flows down, and how smooth the mechanics of the game felt. I feel like I could play this for hours.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the nice comments. Even when it's just a short game, we do want it to have some lore and a certain atmosphere, and gladly everybody enjoys that, haha. The downloaded version is definitely more polished than the web version, with extra effects, too.

this felt great, I love the efficiency in filtering on how the keyboard is actually like a command board of sorts. Very cute aesthetics, very straigthfoward. Some shadows were tough in the beginnning, though I did have a great time!

Developer(+1)

Hey, thank you for playing the game. I never thought that putting all the fingers on the keyboard would make it feel like an actual command board, but now that you're hearing you said so, it does make sense in some way.
In the development process, the coder actually wanted to have a mechanic that required pressing all the 'right' keys at the same time at first, like a cluster chord in playing piano, but the system can't handle more than 3 keys pressed at the same time, so it turned out how it is now, still fun to play, though.

The concept in really neat !
The visuals and sound design are really nice too (I'm especially fond of the animation where you... well... condemn an innocent)

The 20 seconds limit made it pretty hard though, I haven't managed to clear 4 rows once during the time limit even though I played in human mode
I had a hard time with the controls as I kept eliminating people I didn't intend to pick, but maybe that's a skill issue on my part

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Ah yes! I admit it might be a mistake making the target to be 4 in human mode. I didnt consider how familiar people are with typing games, and also didnt consider the amount of time people would spend for a game in a 20 seconds game jam, since our game requires some practice and time investment to master the game 😅😅😅.

The blame is not on your skill issue, its on our game designing issue, but we have learnt so much from this jam 😎.

This is simple but very well executed! Took me like 10 minutes and some luck but I managed to beat Human mode. Love being able to retry so fast too!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!

I hope that you had great time playing our game, and congratulations on beating the human mode 🎉🎉🎉

P/s: Alien mode is for aliens only so we human dont have to finish it.

Its funny how few keys my brain can manage at a time. Great game cool art sfx and music and feel.

Developer(+1)

It sure takes me some time to get used to hand-brain coordination for this game, too. Thanks for checking out the game!

Submitted(+1)

The game has mystical and unique vibe. The music creates great ambience, and the art and palette are sublime. Well done!

Developer

Hey, I'm glad you enjoy the vibe! Thank you so much for checking out the game :D

This is such a great concept! You killed it, from graphics, to game play, all was simply wonderful. The game was a lot of fun to play, amazing job! :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks, glad you had fun with it!

I liked the graphics and simple play loop. Great submission.

Developer

Thank you, the 20-second theme sure suggested a lot of interesting quick loop gameplay!

Submitted(+1)

Such an interesting idea, love the graphics and controls too! Well done!

Developer

Yeah, the coder managed to think of one mechanic gameplay that is really short and fun. I'm glad you found the idea interesting!

Submitted(+1)

clever game but i'm failing to see a final score?

Developer

Thank you for playing!

There is no final score. The aim is to clear the required number of waves (4 for Human mode and 6 for Alien mode) in 20 seconds, and that's it.

You can see your progress below the countdown box.

ah. i'll look closer :)

it really is a clever game and i appreciate the obvious intent to include the Shadow/Light theme which you've achieved in such a creative way..

congrats on a great submission!
