- I was fighting with the camera the entire time I was playing. That might be an itch problem, though (plus my monitor size), so I won't count it against you. The gameplay was fine up until the end, where the camera started freaking out. It zoomed in to where most of my screen was my character. My shots started going above bullies' heads and the bullies also started floating. I'm lucky I didn't get hit as I ran to the door. I did love the ally system, though they kept getting stuck inside each other. It didn't seem to hurt them, so I wasn't too upset. Their dialogue was the highlight of the entire game, and I honestly wish I could've heard more from them. My biggest gripe, however, is the UI. I had no clue how far my shots would go and no clue how long until I could make my next shot. Without any UI to show me, 80% of the time my shots felt too short and the reload felt too long. All in all, it was a great game.
- I had some difficulty getting started, ended up with the random text strings others have mentioned in the comments. I enjoyed the fact that it got easier as you gained allies, but not to the point of the gameplay loop becoming trivial. Art style was fun and appropriate for the content. 360 camera panning would have removed some of my frustrations with the movement system, especially in the later portions where there was more to lose at stake.

This game is a simple action-adventure. It falls short due to the map size being too large for the gameplay loop, leading to lots of time spent just holding forward.
Pros:
- Good music
- Engaging premise
- interesting recruitment and projectile mechanics
Cons:
- Poor desk model construction leads to very easy softlocks, as you can get trapped inside the legs.
- Map is too large for the simple gameplay loop.
- Too easy to ignore recruiting.
I enjoyed the music, but the fact that the game didn't go into Fullscreen or lock the cursor made it really hard to play. I also ran into an issue where my followers clipped inside each other and so their shots didn't actually go anywhere. Once those two things are fixed I think the game will be a lot more enjoyable game.
The visuals and sounds for this game were well thought out and added a lot to the experience. I did find a bit of trouble in understanding where to go or what to do, and at times it was difficult to deal with the obstacles like the bullies because there was little feedback on what was happening in a fight. Despite this there's still a good core of a game here.
The game has pretty good visuals and some really good music and sound design, but a myriad of technical and design issues made it frustrating to play. Firstly, since the camera didn't lock to the screen, it was impossible to fully rotate the camera to see all around the player. In addition, your projectiles are extremely inaccurate to the point of uselessness. Finally, the dialogue system completely breaks down if you happen to press F more than once. In terms of design, the size of the room makes simple traversal frustrating, while the uselessness and long recharge time on your projectiles, combined with the player only having one health, mean that combat mostly consists of running away and waiting for your allies to kill the enemies, which is very boring.
This was a very well developed game concept wise. I really like the story and the atmosphere created. The music matches and enhances the player's experience when going through the school environment. The dialogue system was incredibly made and is similar to that I would see in a fully published game made by a studio. The only issue with the game, and it is a pretty annoying one, is that the ui and cross hair move independently and misalign with the center of the screen which makes aiming at enemies especially difficult.
There is some major issues going on with the resolution size and the camera; I can only see about a quarter of the screen at a time. Also you couldn't exactly fully turn around which made everything a massive pain. I imagine if the camera/screen size issues were fixed it would be a lot better, but its barely playable rn
good concept, good execution, just wish i couldve put it in fullscreen because the camera was super janky to work with not having it in fullscreen. dialogue system worked super well especially
The game concept is very fun. I found it enjoyable to find and meet all the other students, and the dialogue system worked very well. However, I really would have liked to see more complicated exploration; I expected to be able to climb up on and explore the supersized bookshelf or desks. More sound effects also would have been nice. The background music fit well, but it fully stopped playing after a minute or two and the game fell almost completely silent.
Overall, I think it's a fun concept game that I would be interested to see further developed.
(Also, remember to set the Itch page to "click to open in fullscreen". I had to struggle a bit to move the camera more than 180 degree view, and without an awkward fix it would've been unplayable.)
Good concept and solid execution. I liked the theme; the art fit really well with it and was super nostalgic. Having your classmates as your crew to take down bullies was great! Quick side note, couldn’t tell if skipping dialogue and getting trapped in an endless loop of text was a bug or a feature, but it was funny.
This game was very fun! I really enjoyed how there was an NPC that was available for instructions; it integrated well into the full game and made the instructions fun. I loved the art style, especially in the title screen and the dialogue boxes. I thought the pacing could use work; most of the game was just walking in a very large map which felt slow. I think the enemies were well done, and I enjoyed the recruiting aspect of the game. I think some animations and more sound effects could better immerse the player in the game, but the gameplay loop is very solid.
I love the concept for this game. Collecting more classmates to form a battle squad was very cool and the difficulty was tuned very well. I think there needs to be some type of indicator for the cooldown of the player's attack as otherwise the delay between shots feels a little bad not knowing how long until you get another shot. I also think it would've been nice for the classmates to spread out a little more and having a walking animation would have made finished off the polish. Great game!
Unfortunatley I couldn't give this one a proper go because due to some unforseen circumstances I'm using a trackpad to play. So I couldn't really my mouse controls to work. But I understand this is a skill issue on my part, and I was still able to run around and look at stuff. But other than that it seems really cool :).
The story element is interesting and well done. I like the concept and level execution. I liked how you could go around and join different classmates with unique personalities. Though, the lack of a full screen button made it hard to fully control the player cursor though, and the shooting felt unresponsive.
The premise is very interesting, I liked the recruiting of allies to help you in combat. I think that the cooldown of the player's attack is too long, as it feels that you cant do much and have to rely on your recruits to do everything for you.
This game was really fun! I was a little confused with the controls and Liam at first but I managed to figure it out pretty quickly. The bullies were certainly difficult and I failed a lot to them and it would have been better if there were less of them or they were easier to manage. The environment was a lot of fun though.
This was such a cool and unique style I've never seen before!! The aim control was quite difficult to maneuver but thanks to Liam and his cool abilities I was able to get away from most hazards. I like the story and the interactive system of the game. You introduced unique and complex components that weren't taught in class and it was really refreshing to see!
I really enjoyed this game and had fun with it. however I had to reset the game multiple times not because of a death, but because I clipped into the desk leg and got stuck. this was frustrating because I lost a lot of progress. I also found that the test would glitch if you pressed F again while still in conversation with a NPC. but overall a fun game I'd love to play again!
I like the visuals, its very cute. The music is nice too. For the gameplay, it's tough to have the bullies be faster than you plus one hit kill. If you get close to any of the bully groups you're kinda screwed lol. I know we have the ability to shoot, but the aim isn't super accurate (plus on itch you cant turn fully in either direction). The dialogue system worked great (other than pressing F which others have mentioned), and the ally system looked good too. Overall, great game with a cute premise!
I thought the game was real cool. I really liked the visuals and the music. They were simple but added to the gameplay in a very nice way and made the game ten times more interesting to me. Gameplay wise, the ally function was awesome and worked really well. I did notice there was a glitch where occasionally, if you tried to skip through the text, it would spit it back at you in a wacky way. Additionally, the aim cursor felt like it didn't work properly at some times, but that may have just been because I am a noob. Finally, this version on itch was REALLY tough to play because you can't use Fullscreen. Overall, I would this game had some awesome features that would make me want to play again!
There's a lot to like about this game, but I'll start with some of my gripes. Not being able to fully circle the camera was very annoying, and made it difficult to track enemies that were following you on occasion. The attack cooldown felt way, way too long, and the player's range was very short. Bullies being an instakill felt really bad, especially when you die close to the exit. The map is too big, especially given that you can only walk and jump, and the only thing to find is allies. My biggest problem is definitely the enemies, though. I like that your allies will help you fight them, but the camera, odd shooting mechanics, and instakill make it so that I never want to even try fighting them, which means I never have any need for allies. Onto the good parts, of which there are many. First of all, the art style was very cute, and fit the game well. Along with that, the dialogue was well done, and did a good job at simply conveying the characters. The ally system seems to work extremely well, and I encountered no major bugs with it while playing. The story concept for the game is also silly and compelling, which made it fun to follow and talk to the different NPCs.
