Liked this a lot, I really like the idea of a metroidvania with a "fog of war" type map but movement seemed to get messed up for me once dash was unlocked, and I seemed to randomly dash, which made it too frustrating to continue, but was enjoying a lot till then.. might come back and give a second go

Loved the game and the unique idea behind it. I didn’t expect a simple square to be this fun to play — great execution.

You achieve a lot with simple shapes, congrats I had a of fun playing. I missed some music and SFX, but overall is a good job.

Enjoyment: 4/5. You got a LOT out of these squares. For all the issues mentioned below it's notable that I kept playing almost until reaching the actual end of demo. (At a certain point I died but I didn't see what had killed me, and this was after several attempts getting back to the point with the disappearing/reappearing red squares. It's now occurring to me it was probably a quantum red square :) )

Execution: 2.5/5 rounded to 3. A bit jank just...to move, for me, for some reason. I'm sorry if this was just your luck but it was moving with some amount of camera-jerk. There were also some hitbox issues--it wasn't entirely fair-feeling getting hit in a lot of places. If you got rid of those alone this would probably go up 2 full points

Sensory: 2.5/5 rounded to 2. Coherent and generally inoffensive!

Metroidvania: 5/5: Honestly this feels pretty standard stuff for a minivania.

Minimalism: 5/5: Honestly this embraced the theme super-well. I'm not sure you got everything you were going for but I think you got at minimum the visuals.

First time I've seen fog of war in a metroidvania and a crouching square :D

Theme-wise this might be the closest you can get to minimalst with an artstyle. Some sound effects might have been nice but the platforming parts were very good. The colors made it obvious what you were supposed to touch and what to avoid.

This section broke me.

The concept is really cool and it fits the jams theme pretty well. I think that it is strange to hit "D", "C" and "SPACE" at that same time: so in terms of controlls it is a bit tough to pass some sections. But I like the idea that the world is sort of covered by "fog", this adds a lot of explorational depth to the game.

Great concept as far as the theme goes. It's very similar to what I was going for initially but ended up giving 3D a shot. The controls are tight for precise platforming, but there is a lot of stutter when you move around. I couldn't get past the area where dash is unlocked because of it. I'd love to try it out again if the stutters are fixed.

I couldn't run it on my computer really, it was super laggy.

I agree with Dron, The game reminds me a lot of Thomas was alone and that's a good thing! The lag was just making me sick at one point so I had to take breaks

Very fun, but the lag is extremely horrible
