Game Description
Indebted in Space, use momentum to collect crystals and pay the station.

How does your game tie into the theme?
Player can stick to asteroid and push him self (giving momentum to asteroids). Player can also use a "buddy" an octopus we can feed to launch it and apply the momentum him even stronger! Momentum is the core gameplay mechanic.

I love the art and how great the game turned out. A lot of skill needed to get around and return in time. Like those before me being able to move around the space station or rock would have been nice. Since you want to stick to mouse controls just use the scroll wheel to go clockwise or counterclockwise if you go in reverse. Just a suggestion. Otherwise, great game.

Cool take on the theme. Nice features and mechanics. I wish I could walk around the little moons/asteroids when landing on them bc they give more stability, and it was a little hard to gauge my position at times in the vacuum of space. All in all great job. Congrats!

Developer

The space station's research and development team had anticipated the possibility of such maneuvers on asteroids. However, the budget has not been released.

Joke aside, it's true that it would have been nice, we ran out of time and in the end we preferred to keep the mouse controls only for urgently reducing the scope :)

Thanks for playing and for your feedback!

Cool and polished game!

It's really good approach to theme with wildcards *clap*

Art is nice with music match. Great job!

Physics implementation is good, i like how you can pass black whole because of your momentum.

I would improve to keep charged arrow when i keep pressed button, on first minutes i didn't notice i was not using full power (it was quickly changing to lower value) i was confused why i can't move.

Congratulations on your submission!

It's true that a tutorial would have been welcome... but we had to skip this feature to focus on developing the game loop.

Thanks for your comment and feedback, it's much appreciated!

Well polished gam jam! The concept is very nicely thought out and balanced.

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you liked it!

Charming Art Style, music was really nice and the theme was hit spot on.
I had to fight a bit with the controls, as sometimes the fling wouldnt let go, other times i felt like throwing the octopus didnt do enough, so it felt a bit sluggish from time to time. But overall was a nice experience!

I'm aware the game is difficult to get the hang of... Thanks for your feedback, I think I'll take the "difficulty" aspect more seriously in my next jams. Thanks for playing too!

Same feeling as throwing Yoshi into the void when I yeet a little buddy into a black hole

Developer(+1)

Sending an octopus into a black hole is strongly discouraged and can cause major problems with environmental protection associations... But they will never know... what's in the black hole stays in the black hole, as they say.

Thanks for playing :)

Yes, I survived the  Slingshot. But what about ? Is he safe? Is he alright?

Ten hours ago, we initiated the contact re-establishment process. It's now time to officially share the news with you.

We are unable to confirm whether or not Buddy is still alive.

Our hopes, therefore, rest on luck.

Really fun and cool game, pretty addictive! Love the visuals and the music as well, kudos!!!

Developer

Thank you very much. The music was kindly provided by our maintenance department (apparently it motivates debtors to pay off their debts more quickly).
