Game Description
Use a physically simulated meteor hammer to destroy ghosts!

How does your game tie into the theme?
A meteor hammer works by manipulating angular momentum to spin, and release a weight at the end of a rope, slamming it into enemies.

Nice entry. A pretty new and interesting concept. It was quite hard to get used to the spinning mechanic, but that also made it really satisfying once mastered.

The game has a very interesting concept and it's very challenging xD

Controls can be a little bit hard to learn
I think this game is very original with the ball mechanics.

Congrats on the submission!

Developer

thanks! the controls definitely need a lot of work to make the player feel properly in control

Very original and interesting concept! It was quite hard to control but I think it was super cool you went for the physicality of the slingshot. Can't wait to see what you update to after the jam! Good job

Very original and very tough to play :) tutorial would be helpful. In the end I've only used mouse scroll and w key to smash few enemies, not sure if that is intended way to play. Once mastered the controls it can be pretty fun to play.

Developer

thanks :) yeah, I intended for the player to be spinning the meteor hammer, releasing and changing spin direction on return for more long range attacks. But I also found your strat to be most effective in my testing, controls needed more work for sure.

Controls were very tough to learn for me and could barely kill anything. Got really good at shooting the weapon into the sky. With a bit of polish and easement into the game I think this could be really cool idea.

Hi score 35! Got them buggers.

The physics and controls need some iteration time, but it's a very unique concept for a game and I would like to see how it plays after some polish.

Got a score of 125. My strategy was just to scroll it into the minimum length and spam W at the correct time. I think simulating physics was a bad idea for the main weapon and it would have felt better to control if the rope was more predictable. If you ever mess up, it just hangs beneath you and you die, so maybe using left/right to get a swing going again would improve things.

Developer

thanks for the feedback. I wanted to simulate the physics mainly for the theme but that made controlling it a lot harder. I think with more time to overhaul the controls the simulation could still work, perhaps I'll give it a shot.

i really like the idea based off the theme really cool! i had a bit of trouble with the controls but that is most likely a me problem. overall a great idea! and awesome game

Looks like a potentially super fun game (once you get good at it)

Managed to pull off a triple kill from a single throw with the release + pullback tech and it felt so good !
I'd definitely say that the ennemies amount ramps up wayyy too fast though.

Aside from that the meteor hammer is super satisfying to use once you get the hang of it. Good game !

thank you!

Funny idea and fitting the jam's game. Nice retro charm. The difficulty is a bit high for me personally, I'd prefer if the enemy spawning would be less at the beggining.

Developer

glad you enjoyed it :) enemy spawn definitely needs to be tweaked haha
