This was surprisingly satisfying to play once i got the hang of the idea of momentum == launch further/higher !
The visuals look charming and level design is solid, had a good amount of fun zooming through the levels ^^
Amazing work !

I managed to squeeze one more game in before voting ends! I couldn't get past the pit in time for voting, but this seems really fun so I might try more later. I just wanted to let you know that I LOVED the opening animatic. Great job!
wow!! great job on this game, the main mechanic of this game reminds me a lot of the main mechanic in my game, haha, but you guys definitely did a much better job making it intuitive than i did. the execution is quite simple but works very well, i quite enjoyed my time with this game ^^
i do think the game could be made a little bit harder, though! the timers don't have much of an effect due to the infinite pausing, which is pretty OP haha. giving it a timer, or turning it into a strong slowdown might work a bit better.
of course, i'm always really impressed when game devs during jams have time to add things such as menus, and your menus are genuinely very fleshed out. i also really enjoy the cutscenes, especially the gorgeous starry background in them, props to whoever made that ^^
took me about 10 minutes to beat the game, not bad at all!
I am soooo glad I took the time to play this game. It is very charming (I love the little cutscene at the start it's so cute!) and the main mechanic of the game is so fun. I'm so surprised it doesn't have more ratings, you definitely deserve more recognition! The music variations, the art, everything is just so well done. It really gave me kind of a celeste vibe. After a lot of tries I left at the section after the purple one, with the red laser doing kind of a windshield wiper motion, and the two alternating white ones. I kept getting killed by the double red lasers after that, not having enough momentum.
Honestly wonderful job, your game is definitely in my top 2 of this jam (I can't really decide who to put first, you might be tied honestly!). Hats off! 🔥
As others said - first pit is soo hard to get past, maybe because it was waiting till ball bounce instead of using momentum from downfall. Clue or tutorial will help get started, some may get frustrated and stop playing because of that.
After I understood how to play I managed to get to checkpoint 3 or 4 - it was fun, nice idea and good connection to the theme.
Intro art is very nice.
After struggling for close to 10 minutes to get past the first spike pit of the game, it clicked and i flew through the rest of it!
A genuine delight that i'm glad i came back to. I initially put the game down but came back and i'm glad i did. A very well put together game (apart from that first pit causing my skill issues to show...)
Great job all!
Thanks so much for coming back to our game! I agree it isn't super obvious at the beginning that every time you bounce it costs a bit of speed, causing some player to not be able to get past the first wall. Definitely something we'll be looking into having some kind of visual feedback for the player after the jam is over!
Really cool and fun! I agree with some others in the comments that the controls felt very unintuitive at first. It wasn't obvious for the first minute that my speed while shooting out depended on my current speed, and I was often wondering why I suddenly stopped or my curve is just an arrow pointing down.
It's hard to explain but it felt a bit off to me that it 100% depends on total velocity and not direction. It felt like in order to go faster you can dash down and then go back up because gravity increases your speed. Also, you can freeze as soon as you hit an arrow to go way farther and faster than what that arrow would have pushed you to.
A very fun mechanic! I personally would have preferred a checkpoint at the start of each new screen, but the challenge wasn't too terrible!
Fantastic game! In the start controls feel a bit weird but more you play more addictive they become. Also good art and beautifull soundtrack. Overall it's a great game! Really good game for a 1st jam!
Nice game! I like the camera transisions between screens and how the music changes. Gameplay has nice difficulty. Good job!
