Quite a fun gameplay loop. Each different enemy has a cool gameplay mechanic, and I like how your chain length is tied to the hits you take and the bullets you shoot.
A couple nitpicks.
This was quite fun to play - well done!
Such an incredible use of the limitation, and I loved the visual aspect as well, watching the chain grow overtime, with some really nice physics.
I really liked the idea, and how it really feels finite! And it was cute and fun, but maybe making the circle bigger and bigger instead of reseting the chain made it feel easier than it should.
It was a very fun and charming game!
I loved how things felt more and more tense the further I got and how the backgrounds made me constantly feel something was... off about this place, which is pretty fitting for HELL. Also found the enemy designs to be incredible!
Very cool game! Managed to beat it first try, but had some hairy close calls. Having your ammunition, life, and experience all be the same resource is an incredible use of the limitation! You did a great job!
Love the game and design!!!so adorable!
Good game 10/10
I had a lot of fun playing this, even though it was lagging like crazy for me once I reached the 8th layer/circle
The art and music are also great!
Cool to play a game set in Pearis (actually neat to run into another hell setting in the same jam).
Pretty cool experience! Though it did feel like there could be more 'tug and pull' with the chain costs and gain mechanic, which ended up feeling like as you progressed it really became more of a vessel to display your progress for how many enemies you killed rather than being particularly influential for the play experience.
The graphics and music are very nice~
I don't have much to say, besides this the most unique project I've played in this jam! And well executed too! The art is so nice and the enemies are just great! Nice work!
I love this, just delightful, Pear Boy deserves freedom even after all he did during the incident of 1994
(also game got me to go "ohhh" whenever I got tugged by the chain the first time, so good conveying of the mechanic!)
Enjoyed very much! I would love to see a whole game with just this! Near the ending had some lag spikes, other than that ran smooth!
Very cool take on all your stuff being linked to one resource, coulda been just a smidge harder in the beginning stages to feel the pressure on your resource management.
WHAT DID PEARTO DO TO DESERVE THIS? Apart from all her real crimes. Awesome gameplay, really good music, really fun, incredible graphics. I can't believe this was made in 5 days, the only explanation is the amount of sugar you got from all those cookies
REALLY liked this one. I can imagine a whole game based on that mechanic alone
I can't even tell which I liked more: the visual or the gameplay, so I guess it's all top notch!
enemies based on the circle you are currently in is really slick. great animations. I ended up not hitting the edge and farming for a while, got to 6th circle on my first venture outwards.
I love the concept, the art, the gameplay, everything. Watching the chain grow is super addictive. So much so that when I realized it, I went from the second circle to the eighth in one go. Great project! Congratulations.
Really nice idea. Would buy if developed into a full steam release.
Yoo, that was actually a really cool concept. Love it!
