Cool story. The fact that the hero dies is unique. The audio is alright, maybe some more sound effects, such as sword whooshing and a gibberish voice over over the text or even like text sfx would be welcome. I like the low poly art style a lot and the animations are pretty good.
The click to proceed however sometimes broke the cutscene flow. clicking too fast skipped even the animation, which leads me to believe the text is tied to the animation somehow? maybe using the timeline? if you did decide on interactable dialogue, maybe a dedicated dialogue system would've been a better design choice.
Overall, quite enjoyable, good job!!
animazioni ben realizzate... davvero bello
interesting music, goes well with characters. the click through is somehow impacting the pace, maybe an extra light to switch on/off to show realtime render? overall a good one!
cool assets you got from the unity asset store!
I didn't understand how often I need to click and where, I probably skipped a few dialog lines this way :D
The music score is nice, but the game could react to events in a better way, or you could add more effects (skeletons making sad or disappointed sounds?).
Also, at first I did not understand which side skeletons are - all of them look quite similar?
Nice take on the theme :) Unexpected for sure.
I'd like to see the rest of this game! I can imagine one, where the skeletons seek revenge on the ember knight!
I like the light hearted atmosphere- after some rather heavy submissions this was a nice change of pace :)
Another thing I liked a lot- use of sound! All the things that should make sounds in your cutscene do that. The music is light, so it fits the atmosphere.
One more thing- I loved that one of the skeletons was named Barry! This is such a normal name, that, by not fitting the fantasy setting, fit the comedy perfectly :D
I liked it. I like how it is the other side of a boss fight showing the boss's minions be late
If you could, please check out my entry too!
I liked your entry. The assets you used look really cute and the story you tell definitely fit the theme. The knights are just too late...well. The music is kinda funny and also fits, I think, but a bit more SFX would have been nice. Some of the animations are kinda off, while some characters walk for instance during dialogue. Dialogue is a crucial point here, I think. The rules state that there should be no interaction with dialogues, usually. You used it for proofing real-time rendering. But this way the time of the cutscene cannot be 'clear' etc. It's a bit tricky, within discord it was told that it is not allowed to be able to click through dialogue etc.
Still: Nice entry!
Storytelling, audio and visuals were all pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't the hero who was late but the skeletons. Good job! :D
