Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
Directly inspired by the theme image and recalled the "almost in touching" moment when people are physically interacting with someone else. We embedded this idea into a classic slither mechanic to encourage players to feel this ceremonial sense about "body connection". Players grow and survive by correctly pairing different gestures, forming a living chain that represents cooperation and shared movement.

First off, this game is adorable. I really enjoy the music and art. The gameplay is fun, although there is some jank to it, the fact that you speed up the farther your mouse cursor is from the center can be pretty jarring, especially since I was just trying to move around without any changes in speed. Also I managed to softlock myself somehow with no otters available to keep the chain going and had to restart the game. But overall really fun little game

thanks ya the mouse is supposed to make you faster sorry you didn’t like that aspect but thanks for the comment

Really nice! Very elegant concept and the art and music were really cute (and I liked the little squeaks).

Got 9400. I enjoyed the mechanics—controlling the flow and making contact felt satisfying. I didn’t encounter the issues others mentioned. I never got stuck and could always find hands to pair with. I didn’t really see the “puzzle” aspect of the game—perhaps I just got lucky, since everything ran smoothly for me. As others have said, the game is cute. An adorable otter makes a great choice of character. I liked the music, though it sounded somewhat “epic,” which didn’t quite match the game’s cuteness. The art style is consistent and clearly intentional. Some aspects appealed to me more than others. It felt a bit unpolished—I’m not a big fan of pixelated art, sorry. The “winning” condition wasn’t immediately clear, and I wasn’t sure why the game ended when it did. I also missed options for controlling music and SFX, though perhaps there wasn’t time to include them.

Despite these criticisms, my overall impression was quite positive. I liked the concept and the gameplay—the things that matter most.

The art and audio are fantastic! Very cute and charming. The gameplay premise was certainly very cute, but I did end up softlocking myself with a certain combination of otters lmao. I'm wondering if there are potentially other avenues for more gameplay depth with this concept? Although cute, the number of hand signs may have gotten too expansive. Particularly, the right side up and upside down cupped hands were hard to differentiate when everything is in motion. The game feel is quite fantastic overall, but some small bugs can break the otherwise charming illusion taking place like otters getting stuck or the chain otterwise getting disrupted. I was impressed by how they resolved the knots on their own, though! That's some foolproof programming.

Thank you very much for playing and the feedback . You're absolutely right about the softlock issue and we did run into real limitations with the current physics system :D Part of our challenge is that we're intentionally letting the otters behave in slightly unpredictable, playful ways to keep them feeling alive & funny. Must pay attention to the cost of physics next time hehe.

About the gameplay depth, we're initially exploring more reaction-based mechanics on the top of the current pairing rules. For example, players might temporarily lose some companions by hitting the boundary if u r too fast as a troop, or even have their otters stolen by unconnected ones if some of them are pairing perfectly. These ideas are to rebalance the loop and recover from mistakes (or bugs haha), so you don't always stay in a certain puzzle state or have to reset the entire game if get stuck. We were also considering the infinite mode with score system we have now, which might push the replayability side of the game a little further.

Thanks again for the constructive feedback. Really appreciate it :)

It’s a very good game the concept, execution, and art style were really well done. And as for  feedback, as the otters grew things started to feel a bit cluttered, making it harder to form circles and navigate. At times, 2–3 otters would get stuck in a corner, which caused the squad to break apart before rejoining later on their own. Aside from that, it was an impressive game overall! It’s just amazing how you come up with such creative ideas after seeing the theme.

thanks a lot man

The game is really cute. The idea is simple but works well. The only issue I had was ending up with no character to hold hands with, so I couldn’t continue, but it’s okay,  it was still a lovely experience. Good job.

Developer

that’s the puzzle aspect lol

好可爱的游戏!和水獭一起牵手手。感觉设定很用心,因为水獭就是需要牵手手才能在水里不会被冲散。

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! We're aware of the mouse & cursor issue and really appreciate you pointing it out!

I love everything about this game. My kind of thing. Lovely job.
My only suggestion would be to have a custom cursor that's more fitting to the art and easier to find than my regular tiny arrow.

Thank a lot for taking some time to write this feedback. you're completely right!, we overlooked the fact about the cursor being a key piece for the gameplay. Im glad you enjoyed the game <3
