Trouble getting indexed and hearing back from support

Hello there,

Apologies if you are just backed up right now but I am curious if there have been any issues with getting my game indexed. I have read the 'getting indexed' doc and from what I can tell, even given that information this seems unusual. It has been up for almost a week and I have contacted support with no response after a follow up 2 days later. I know it is a new account but I have been getting it some direct traffic as well. I am starting to wonder if something is wrong or anything--if it is just delayed in the queue that is fine I just want to make sure!

Ticket #336223

Thank you.

Itch should just update their docs. It is shameful, how many people come here after reading those docs, expecting that the information there was correct.

It is not. It is outdated. Exchange every occurance of "days" with "weeks" and it gets a lot more accurate.

That just how it is. Whatever the issue with your game, even if no issue at all, the waiting queue for staff to do such things is about a month. Maybe more. Maybe less. It is not strict fifo.

If you promote your game, a direct link will not care about your indexing status. And at your stage in development and fame, no one is gonna search your game by name. Even if you appear for five minutes on the recent page, you will be drowned out by all the other games.

I've let our admins know about your ticket, but you published your game five days ago. As redonihunter pointed out, it can take a lot longer: /t/4120453/unofficial-search-and-indexing-faq

I've followed every rule you guys posted about reindexing a game in the site for games that have Mature content, (even if mine has no NSFW in it), and it's been almost three and a half months. Last time I complained, all I got was a "Oh, your project is NSFW we are not indexing NSFW projects" even if there are literal actual NSFW projects indexed in your system.

It's a bit tiring to keep trying to make people see our projects and having almost no interaction here because the only way to find my project is to search for it on Google or on an external website for visual novels. I also sent three e-mails to you for support and never got back either. Can you check my situation, and tell me if there's anything else I still need to do? The game doesn't charge anything at all, just like you all asked here; /t/5149036/reindexing-adult-nsfw-content

Anyway, sorry for coming here again, but after finding there are actual +18 games indexed with actual +18 pictures showing front page, I got a bit upset, not gonna lie.

No, I don't have access to the ticket database. Please post your latest ticket ID here like the rules of this category say. I'll let our admins know, as you can see from the previous conversation and many other similar topics.

Both your games are currently indexed. The sfw and the nsfw game.

I might be on the same boat here than the other guy that replied to you here, I don't plan to make money in here at all, my nsfw games are set to no payments, I only use the website to share free versions of things since day one anyway. (My game has been deindexed by the new rules but I still get a lot of traffic here though google as it's still indexed there)

My ticket is recent though, #337131
