It felt really smooth and cool before I ran into some performance issues. It's funny, because repurposing of alien world materials was one of our ideas for the jam too. Glad to see someone brought it to life that well. Chapeau!
Thank you for playing and feedback! <3
Fun game! Hard to start with because the controls are on the game's page and not in the game itself.
Building mode could stay on when I want to build something in bulk, like towers and walls, instead of turning off after the first building.
It runs a bit slowly and UI doesn't fit my screen (UI panel is cut off).
Thank you for playing and feedback!

It was very fun! Turns out I had even more fun when I died, and the enemies stopped hitting me, letting me just barrage them with buildings.
The idea is cool and implementation well scoped. Very nice job!

Excellent entry! The rootwarden moves so nicely and I love the satisfaction of placing a miner and watching number go up. At some point the walls became useless and I just started placing turrets everywhere. I never saw the boss spawn but that number went up too. For some reason the turrets liked shooting a rock in the top left of the map (maybe an enemy was stuck). I had a lot of fun with this and I think there's a lot of potential to build it out. Nice work!
Thank you for playing and great feedback!
I amazed how much you built and secured the surface! Good Job rootwarden-5125!
It was a lot of fun! Sadly the game started dropping fps quickly so I wasn't able to accomplish much but I did immediately create a fort! :)
You did great on sound effects and using bloom! The main bot and bunnies are the best part of the game. Thank you for making this!
Thank you for playing and feedback! The game needs for sure more optimization :D
You built a really cool fort! Great Job!
Very nice graphics, and I liked how there was a day/night cycle that changed the visuals up :D
Thank you for playing! I am glad you like visuals!
Really clean graphics, I think my character was invincible, they just ran around me and I was able to do a massacre :D
Thank you for playing!
A RTS is a difficult game to do in such a short time, very good! The main complain I have and that could be solved very fast in this game is the HUD, it takes too much space from the screen, making the screen feel kind of cramped. Still, it is a fun game!
Thank you for playing and feedback!
I am glad you had some fun with the RTS-like game :D
I liked a lot the aesthetic and how easy it is to pick up the game and start playing it. The base building aspect was fun, I just kept adding turrets everywhere to fend off those pesky space-evil-bunnies lol. I spent a long time playing this game, great submission!
Thank you playing and feedback!
I am glad you had some good time with the game :D
This was a really fun game!! I enjoyed shooting down the monsters and eventually getting more and more confident to explore as time went on. At the end I think I had all the objectives done which was nice? Maybe if there was a win condition or something that would be cool. But overall, this was super fun!! I would play more if there was more stuff to do.
Thank you for playing and feedback!
I am sorry there is bug that not showing victory scene after matching all targets :(
I am glad you enjoyed and congratulations of achieving all targets, that's amazing!
Great submission! I think this game has a lot of potential. I ended up placing towers all over the map so I would be safe everywhere. I had so many minerals so I could just spam them down and not care if they got eaten.
Thank you for playing and feedback!
Balance of the game is not that good, in my plan was to force player should put mines (harvest minerals) and protect them. I was short on time to better explain that concept so just unlocked to get a lot minerals from enemies, just give players fun with building system.
I am glad you could just have some fun with spamming buildings :D
This was neat, it's already been noted a few times here but I also had issues with the screen scaling.
Other than that it was a fun game, I enjoyed penning monsters in a square of towers to harvest them. I couldn't find where the main base was so I don't know if I could complete the game, but I was able to build the houses required.
Nice work
Thank you for playing and feedback!
I am glad you enjoyed building system :D
I like this tower defence game and the building system, but it didn't end when I reached the goal, and it started lagging badly by day 5. But don't get me wrong, I still found the game very fun!
Thank you for playing and feedback!
I am glad you had some fun :D
Game for sure need optimization, it was pretty rush :D
This is a great entry! I am very impressed by the building mechanic you were able to put together for this gam. I am a fan of RTS games, and this is a fun take on the genre as you control a single character that builds towers on an ever growing force of enemies.
The particle effects on the laser impacts are great, and the SFX are a great fit. I ran into a similar problem with the text running off of the screen, but had a fun time playing your game!
Thank you for playing and feedback! I am glad you like visuals and gameplay!
I am RTS fan as well! I am digging idea of "soft RTS" (my dumb name :D) game. I think we should bring back some love to RTS games even in soft version, thats just great genre.
I liked the music and the idea was a promising one.
I played this for a while and the bottom of my screen was cut off, so I think there may have been something below "Minerals" but I couldn't see it. I just got bored of shooting things before I got to 10k minerals. I wasn't sure what else to do. I knew there was a build mode, but I couldn't figure out how to get into it. The sound on the shooting also cut out a lot and then stopped altogether after a while.
It seems that you put a lot of work into this. I wish I could have appreciated it more. It looks like people with bigger monitors had a better experience. Mine's only 1920 x 1600.
Sorry for problems, I did mistake with UI and it do not scale properly! That could give you feeling there is something below, but there is not :D
I was in rush and didn't do any explanation inside game, sorry for the problem. You can enter build mode by just pressing 1,2,3 or 4 on keyboard. I did add extra explanation in game description, after jam will update game to make it properly.
I did a lot research with 3D graphic and I like this result, initially I thought it will work much worse in browser :D It was really good project for prototype and learning.
It's cool you still reach to play until 10k minerals :D
Thank you for playing and feedback!
This was fun to play. It took a bit to figure everything out, but then I started to make progress.
When it started, the left edge was cut off on my screen. The "E" in "End in" was split about down the middle. I looked for an option for fullscreen, but did not see one. I closed my side panel and was able to fit everything on screen, but it felt like the panels on the left crowded the screen on that side, and made targeting enemies coming from that direction difficult. I eventually maximized my browser, and I'd say this was designed to be played in 4K. Things definitely looked better spaced and sized. Not everyone plays on 4K screens, so it would be good to add some scaling to be more playable on at least 1080p, especially for a jam. We do use a 4K screen when playing jam games as a group, but solo is often on 1080p.
I like that placing the wall tiles keeps you on them until you cancel. It would have been really annoying to have to press the keyboard key each time to spawn a new one. One the other hand, when I went to place the houses after doing a bunch of wall, it too me a moment to realize they were not working the same way.
My first playthrough I somehow skipped the towers. I followed the instructions to get a mine up, and explored a bit, then felt like I was constantly being swarmed and did not get a break during the day. I built some walls, then did the houses for the goal, before trying to find the enemy base. It took me far too long to realize the rocks were spawn points that needed to be destroyed. Only once was I surrounded when I explored a bit too far and came back toward where there were extra enemies waiting, but never really felt threatened. It was easy enough to take out the enemies. They also seemed to favor me over my base, so I built some walls, and then left to explore, and even when off to one side, they came for me, rather than my unprotected base. The enemies also favored coming in a line, which made it easy to just spam fire it their general direction. A bit of variety in their movement could help. When I finally tested the towers, their firing seemed to come from an odd location away from them. They still took out enemies and worked fine, it just looked odd, and could affect where they need to be placed.
I ran into a fair amount of stuttering by day 3. It was still playable, but noticeable. On day 9, with 88669 minerals and 11 houses, the game locked up. The console shows these errors:
ERROR: Condition "_data->size_cache" is true.
ERROR: Parameter "mem" is null.
Overall, its a good start. I plan to give it another try using the towers to help not feel so overwhelmed, and allow me to push forward.
My second playthrough went much smoother with what I had learned on the first. I was easily able to push forward, placing towers as I went. I never placed any walls, and didn't both with the houses until I had finished off the enemy base. I did get another lock-up. This time it was day 7, with over 140k minerals, as I was placing more houses than needed.
Thank you so much for so detailed feedback!
I am sorry for UI and lack of information about game, I was in rush and didn't do that properly! It needs completely rework for sure.
It's great you got so far in game and had some fun! I like this kind of games and will dig in more how to design it better.
Game for sure would work much better on desktop version but it's cool to see how people push web build to limit :D
Thanks again!
Visually veeery nice, the rocks and laser shots look so cool. I had performance problems beyond the initial stutter later unfortunately.
Thank you for playing and feedback!
There is for sure need for load shaders before game start!
Really impressive 3D on web performance, once the shader/particle effects stutter is cleared. Nice grid-based building placement controls. I’m really bad at games with friendly fire, lol. Nice entry!
Thank you for playing!
