This game does a great job capturing the type of gameplay those bridge building games have. I liked how it was focused on the longevity of the builds rather than the structural integrity of them, though they are often go hand in hand. I also really liked how you brought in the idea of planned obsolescence in to the game mechanics. It also adds to that theme of distopian corperation the story seemed to be telling.(wikipedia is linked cuz I didn't know the word for it before writing this comment lol)
Thank you! I'm really glad you're reading into it. I think I made some of the other intended story stuff a little hard-to-catch but oh well 🙂
Jogo muito bom, gostei da ideia e estética, mas a necessidade de ser envolto em paredes para começar me parece negativo pois meu relógio bugava as vezes:
De resto gostei muito.
Took me a little bit to figure out how to do stuff, but once I did it was pretty cool! The bombardment physics were entertaining to watch - I think overall this is a really fun prototype, so good job!
Some of the audio was mixed in a hard to hear kind of way, like the impact of bullets/rivets/nails (not sure which) on metal was super loud. other than that, great job!
Really fun! The way that your physics work here is so satisfying. I also only made it to the second level, but I may come back here to play further after I've rated a few more games. The sound effects are great, but felt a little repetitive—are you using pitch shifting here to add any variation into them?
Thanks for the kind words! Pitch shifting was on my to-do list but didn't figure it out in time 😔
Budget isn't being enforced so you can treat it like a par and skip to the later levels
This was a cool game!
Not sure if it was too difficult or I'm just bad at these types of games, but I couldn't get past the second level.
Sound effects were nice, and the physics were great. Just the right amount of wacky for this type of game.
You completely nailed it on the physics part, I just wish it was a bit easier so I could progress :D
Hey thank you!, yep balance is unfortunately a bit wonky.
Side note: I actually have it so that the budget isn't enforced to pass the level
I couldn't get it to work in desktop mode. I tried left and right mouse, click and drag, etc. no luck. Middle mouse did allow me to pan the world. I'll have to try again sometime. -- I tried again and I was able to place some wood, but could not place furniture. -- will try yet again, looks like an interesting idea.
Wow, now that I figured it out, I loved the bombardment of my structure! Wasn't sure how the bombs fit the theme, other than of course they do a lot of damage. Fun physics, I'll give it yet another try - smiles in advance.
Woo Hoo! My build passed! My trick was an angular collection of shields within shields.
Steel is overpowered in this game! Had a lot of fun building the structures, and the way the physics was done was perfect!
AWESOME, as someone who has ATTEMPTED to make a game like this, you did so much better than I coiuld even imagine, I love this, the art is nice and home crafted, the physics are wacky and perfect. Overall super fun gameplay thats really well put together!
My only criticism(which is probs a skill issue) was the game's difficulty curve is like a brick wall to me lols.
Love the wacky physics and seeing my builds fly off was funny. It would be nice if there was some indicator showing if a connection between two pieces is correct.
I agree that's a very good suggestion, wish I could've got more QoL in
This was pretty fun!
I was a little confused because I couldn't place down any furniture so I didn't make it past the first level,(nevermind, figured it out, it just for some reason doesn't place normally with left click, I don't know how I got it to work) and it was an interesting concept. It was fun to see how my builds would survive through the different attacks. Good work!
