congrats to you guys!! definitely some really well deserved marks!!

This was such a lovely game! For sure the coziest of the jam! The art is really nice, really love the transition from main menu to game, super smart! The music is so nice too, absolutely love it, especially with that ending puzzle. Loved all the little references scattered about too even if I didn't get them all. There's nothing I can say that others haven't already, this is just so nice! Awesome work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing! Really glad you enjoyed it :3 It makes me and all team members so happy, people really love what we did. Being our first game ever as well. Very inspiring experience

I got through to the end and I cant believe the parallels between our two cozy little tower games!!! What a trip. The artistic direction was just stellar. So cute. You make a great team together, everything came together in such a well-defined style and vibe. I would love to see what you guys could do with a full development cycle together! Thanks for sharing your work with us :D

a really beautiful, sweet experience! definitely a high level of polish here, and while it is on the short side, i didn't really come away from it feeling like it needed to be longer or that it was incomplete. the art style is definitely a highlight for me c:

Developer(+1)

Thank youuu! Fortunately we did have some time in the end just to polish, like 6 hours dedicated to that. We even did some beta-testing or smth (definitely helped to fix a couple of problems we couldn't notice). I'm glad you liked it, EQUINOX dev team has been a blessing for us and our game. The power of Two Towers I guess :)

rising tides raise all ships!! yeah, having a little bit of time to polish things at the end really shows here, it was worth it!

Probably one of my favourites this jam! Everything about it is just lovely and comforting and pleasant for eyes and ears. It was really satisfying seeing the snow melting away. Also I love the little Over the Garden Wall reference in the background haha. Thanks for sharing your game!!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Background is full of references! Most of them not that obvious though, and some doesn't make any sense for someone outside of our friend group. Thank you thank you thank you! I enjoyed your Snowodoro btw, didn't comment yet, but will. Creative and cute! Snowflakes are beautiful :3

I absolutely love the music and how you made it change together with the room turning into a such a cozy looking home. I'm not good at music puzzles, but I almost figured it out before it gave me the answer. Really well done.

Developer(+1)

It was one of the first ideas,  and I'm so glad we we sticked to it, connecting progress to music changing felt good instantly. Thanks for playing and for attempting the dreaded music pazzle :)

Very cozy game! had fun, good puzzle! good execution, it felt complete!

Developer(+1)

Yaaay, more people playing, thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it as well. While it is complete on itself, we are thinking about making it just the first level, so stay tuned (but that's not for sure rn)

You probably would never tell 👀, but I LOVE a good cleaning/repairing game, and your was so sweet and well made! It also reminded me of the good old point and click games like Monkey Island, where the character would react to what the player does, even making jokes - really cute.

It took me a while too to figure out I had to close the window, but as soon as I did I was like "OF COURSE, how could I not think about it?? I've seen enough ads of that mobile game where the mum and the daugher are freezing in a room with the window open" ahah

I noticed you also thought about including the "mistakes make the game easier" optional limitation! I could swear I had to start with the second note for the music puzzle but thankfully the gnome was there to help me out çwç

Truly a very good job 💪

Developer(+1)

Oh no, not that mobile game 💀 We tried to avoid any similarities :D I'm so sad about not been able to finish yours! I tried it 3 times, but I'm just getting stuck on a bust. Some parts just doesn't move (different parts every time as well), so I don't know if it's a bug or am I doing something wrong. But it is sooo beatiful, that's my favorite kind of graphics, like Fable, WOW, Captain Blood and all that.
Thank you for deep analysis, we were going for something like old school point and clicks.
Yeah, we had to cut the main limitation due to personal stuff, but at least optional one is here! And the music puzzle is gonna be the end of me lol. I was so impressed by myself when I did it, but apparently it's too weird for almost anyone to get right. Not the first time it happens to me too. Anyway, thanks again! And congrats on your big inevitable success on this jam!

Submitted(+1)

Aw thank you for your nice words çwç We notices many people having trouble with the bust, if you'd like to try again, next time try to interact with it while staying a little more far away from the counter: the issue is probable due to overlapping wall collisions.

I'm sorry about the mobile game mention! Honestly I never tried one of those because they seem sketchy 💀 but they make them look extremely satisfying, so I don't mind such a wholesome game to remind me of those game mechanics!

The music puzzle was good, really! Actually I could have waited a little more for the solution, I don't mind a little trial and error. You did good!

Developer(+1)

Oh, I tried a lot of them mobile games! They're mostly the same though - really satisfying at first and then in like half an hour they're starting to suck the blood and very soul out of you. Also there is another kind I started to notice lately - they SEEM like it's a real game, with numbers, stats, characteristics and all that, but in reality it's just an empty shell, they doesn't mean anything. Creepy, actually, it's probably how it feels like to meet a zombie or some sort of walking dead irl

Submitted

LMAO yeah they're basically money sucking traps imo 😔

Submitted(+1)

Hey! Wow, even though it was short it just somehow felt.. complete. It took me longer to figure out that I needed to close the window than I'd like to admit hah. But I was able to get to the end! It was a very comfy/cozy gem. You guys should have put this in the browser, would definitely had a lot more plays.

Great work on this submission!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it :) Yes, browser version would've  been nice,  but we failed to optimize  it in time. It was too slow and laggy, so we went for a Windows build

The gameplay feels very comfortable and relaxing, and it’s fun to watch all the animations playing and see the house gradually become warmer. I really enjoyed that sense of progression. And thanks for the music puzzle's answer , that I thought I just have to press the instrument colors matched to the colored light bulb color.
Good job!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks! Yeah, we added colored lights last second, cause the art guys REALLY wanted them in the game :D So we didn't  have time to reflect on how are they gonna affect gameplay. And a music puzzle is confusing enough on itself. Glad you enjoyed our game!

Submitted(+1)

A stellar game! So cozy and had just enough elements in it to think "ah, how do i get that?"and the steady reveal of the room was a great parallel to how much cozier everything got. The art was incredible and the music puzzle very satisfying. Good job you guys! I love this.

Developer (1 edit)

Oh my god thank you for playing! At this point I'm a little bit worried that (almost) no one will play it, haha... I guess I should've made a better description and cover art. Anyway, thank you for your kind words :3

Submitted(+1)

Me and the team have been trying to play through as many as we could (which takes a surprising amount of time 😭) but of all the games this is actually in my top 5! I loved it. Hopefully you’ll get more players to give it a chance. ❤️

Loved the start window animation turn into game scene. Little puzzle and sound design was nice Looks really cozy and cute ^^

Developer(+2)

Thanks for playing :)

This is such a lovely little game. I adore the art style, and the music is absolutely beautiful. I loved the music puzzle at the end, I think that's such a clever way to do it. Great job, I'd love to see this expanded upon!

Developer(+1)

Yaaay, fellow  tower guy :D Thanks for playing and leaving a comment! Expansion  on the idea might happen, yeah. I have so many cool concepts for other floors

Submitted(+1)

Beautiful game! I got a little stuck on the music part but I enjoyed it and wish that there was more to the game/storyline to keep playing! :)

Developer

Yeah I'm not so sure about the music part, seems like NO ONE is getting it, which means it's not as good as I thought. Well, at least there is clues :)

Submitted(+1)

I think you did a wonderful job! I figured it out eventually xD

Developer

Before the final "clue"? It makes you only the second person that I know of, who did that! It should be an achievement or something :)

Love the way you made the light come through the windows it's very atmospheric. This is a very beautiful concept as well with the ghome returning the light.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah, it's so simple, yet so intuitive and powerful, definitely wanna expand more on it
