Historical Accuracy
We as a team researched on Alan Turing and the Enigma Machine. We looked up historical references and used artistic abilities to recreate the scene.
Thematic Relevance
Since it is set during World War II, we decided make a game about Alan Turing, who invented the bombe at Bletchley Park. He used it to decode german nazi messages.

It's a very cool game, and I'm surprised that you managed to do so much in just one week. The filming, the dialogue, and the enigma are all very cool, and the historical event is also very cool. The coding was a bit challenging, and there wasn't much gameplay, but the filming was very impressive. I hope you can bring this game to release.
A nice story game 👍
The character's name needs to be displayed separately at the top of the dialog box and highlighted in a different color.
Unfortunately, I didn't understand how to solve the first puzzle.
Great graphics and dialogue, I'm pleasantly surprised to see cutscenes!
I can't figure out the intended way to solve the puzzle, it seems to me that brute force was the most efficient way to solve it. Maybe I missed something?
The heart of this game is the 'cracking the code' part. However, the 3d conversations and moving around is really impressive for a 1 week dev effort.
I liked the puzzle - at first I though it was going to be a version of Wordle - and then I got confused.
Changing the cypher substitution as the code was being cracked was a great idea - but in the end it was possible to just cycle through the alphabet on each square until the right letter was found.
Instead you could maybe do something like have the player figure out how many letters change at each square.
So instead of trying to find the letters, you were trying to find what the change (in number of letters).
You could have all the letters filled in at the start with random changes, so when player made a change, all the letters would change from that square onwards. Not sure it that make sense to you.
Pretty ambitious scope for a week long jam with the 3D models, narrative, different rooms, puzzles, etc. It's not often you see this scope in a jam game. The characters made me think ok Golden Eye right away so that's some nostalgia points! Pretty cool audio overall too. I reached the cypher puzzle and liked it but didn't commit fully to complete it as I needed to move on to other games. I think my natural instinct was to use pen and paper to solve it which I always a nice feeling when games want you to do the detective leg work!
thank you! That is totally the way we wanted you to feel. Yeah it was like nancy drew kind or sherlock like. Totally old school.
I loved the ps2 style graphics and animations. Great use sound to sell the atmosphere. The actual cracking of the codes was a bit tedious. If you had the time it might have been an idea to allow the player to use their own keyboard. Or maybe gameify it a bit further and make the player do a mini game to finish a code. Congrats on finishing.
I will probably do that. A lil mini game. And ability to type using keyboard. Maybe add a mini game in between typing to simulate the challenge.
First of all, I immediately loved it because I am a sucker for an animated main menu.
Game is nice! The little tutorial for the decryption was a bit confusing at fist, but I managed to push through and cracked it. Does the code change on a replay?
Other than that, I thought the dialogues could be shortened a bit and also the walking felt painfully slow even for the very little walking that there is to be done.
Lovely 'vintage' models too, and overall a really nice game
Thanks! I didn’t add code change but will in the future. The dialogue will definitely be shortened. The walking speed will be increased a little in a future update.
