Pretty unique and interesting game. I never would have thought of a game that gave power ups for putting books on shelves lol. Very well executed. I wish there had been some variation when the bookshelf spawned to make it slightly less repetitive.
I enjoyed this :) cleared in 20 minutes
Some minor gripes are that some of the upgrade descriptions didnt fit the text box and had a scroll bar, which was impossible to use since it fades away after moving your mouse. I was able to tell what the upgrade did from the picture, but it wasnt super clear. Also, I couldnt really tell how the score was working for the numbered books, the value changed alot and was seemingly random? It'd be nice if in the upgrade screen there was some way to see all of the combined stats and upgrades, maybe it'd be more clear to me that way? Maybe I'm just missing something lol
Anyways this was great! There was good progression and getting faster at shelving everything was satisfying. All the art and sounds were nice too.
Very cool concept, well executed!!
And even though I don't usually enjoy this kind of game, I really had a fun time!
But I think I'm pretty bad at it... it took me over 22 minutes to beat, haha XD
The art is cool, the music is nice, and it has some great polishing touches.
I did have an issue where I couldn't see the very top of the screen, so adding a fullscreen mode would be nice (you can also enable the "fullscreen button" in the itch project settings ).
Overall , great work !!
Oddly addicting, good work!
Very fun simple game!! I think it would be good if you picked up multiple books the ability to just keep clicking in the same spot and it drops the books 1 book to the right, which would also reward picking up books in the correct order as a spot on the shelf.
yeah I will add that if I feel like I want to extend this game, but I didn't have enough time to implement that
Thanks for playing the game!!
Great game. The controls felt very fluid and the art style was great. The concept also fit very well with the theme.
Thanks for the good words and playing the game!!
Nice ordering game you have. The experience is holistic, and I found little to no discomfort playing from start to finish (a huge plus!). SFX and visual are also greatly executed. Good game!
PS: My record is 18:25. I am not good :))
Thanks for playing. You did great compare to others tho :)
Nice incremental game! =)
Thanks for playing!!
Really good game! Loved how the shop expanded when you bought things. Spent like 20min trying to get the best score lol.
Thanks for playing XD
super fun good job
Thank you thank you
That was pretty nice game, its simple but time is tight enough to trigger the speedrun component of the human brain :D gg wp <3
that's faster than mine lol. Thank you :D
The gameplay loop is completely immaculate, I got sucked into a flow state throughout the whole thing and 15 minutes flew by FAST. Its such a simple concept, and yet its SO fun. Congrats for the great game!
Thanks for the good words XD
I loved this game! I don't know what's more impressive, the fact that you did that in only one week or the fact that i found myself loving organising some books hahaha!
It's so cool that you added this talent tree and upgrades throughout the game. Both themes timing and out of place were perfectly achieved.
It is so smooth, the music suits the vibe, the animations are great, truly inspiring. I hope one day I can match your skills!
Hi thanks for the good words. I'm still trying to get better :))
Really liked the upgrading mechanics on this one, and the sfx were great.
Thanks for the good word
As a constant reader, I appreciate amount of book games in that jam.
Very well done! Feels juicy and mechanics are great.
But, please change the capsule! I would check that game even earlier if I would see the image properly, it's to dark.
haha totally agree. I will update the capsule art after the jam is over because rn editing is locked
I'm a sucker for a good upgrade system, well done!
Glad you enjoy the gam
I feel like our games are siblings in spirit! Love this so much!
Totally haha I'm more of the chaos one and ur calm one
Ive had so much fun playing this game. Just a quick tip would be to make hitboxes more forgiving. Trying to put the books in fast leads to often being off a pixel. That is sometimes a bit annoying. Other than that: Great art, great sfx, great soundtrack. LOVE IT
yeah I got this feedback also in my main game. I thought I fixed that but apparently its still there. Will look for a solution after the jam
Very fun!I finished in15:58
wow thats fast
The game was really fun and entertaining, love the upgrade system. Controls can be a little laggy at times.
yeah I feel like the code is super spaghetti and need more works. Thanks for playing anyway
