Which theme(s) did your game incorporate, and how?
I incorporated the themes Pig and Everything has a cost. My entire game is a pig platformer where the player is the pig and the "collectables" are also pigs. The player even to walk spends money. Everything in my game has a cost which includes: Player Movement, Upgrades, etc.

The jump controls could use a little more love, like a little bit of coyote time for your jump, and decreased gravity so you had more time to react during the jump arc. Overall it looked good, played well, and you nailed the theme. Good job!

Hats off to the design. It is honestly really great overall. The idea, execution, completeness and the level design. Just one thing that bothered me is failing the jumps near the edges. I have to pause and then press UP and LEFT/RIGHT at the same time to prevent falling. And some pigs, no matter how many times I tried to jump to, I just couldn't. Maybe I am missing something. After I understood the upgrades I have bought all upgrades except the teleport and with 50 I got and sold my first pig. This got me 12K at the end and had full lives. But I couldn't reach some pigs, so I kept jumping down to end the game before it cost me more.

The design of the upgrade system is also wonderful. It makes the game a bit easy and simple, but better than frustrating for sure. I wasn't expecting to see upgrades at all. It is amazing use of time. You got really great skill for the game design.

Visuals and the sound design could be improved but for this limited time it is hard to ask more from a solo dev. Insanely good work. And finally, a more forgiving jump and a lower gravity jumps would feel more satisfying, I think.

Ooo thanks for the ideas! Some of the pigs are like easter eggs. So basically in the map i am guessing the pigs you are talking about are the ones over like the ladders end thing. So I made it so like to get those you have to fall from the top onto that thing. It was to make the game harder and like enable this sort of mystery thing to it.

I guessed there would be some reason for it. Because I can see you are a good designer and acted reasonably overall, I knew I was missing something. That kind of secret is great for larger games since people try and spend more time, but surely that is not a bad thing to have here too. It is still a good addition, just unlikely for me to try so hard for a small game, but I guess some people would. I think it is not an easter egg since it serves a purpose other than being a visual secret, perhaps you have already added one anyway or could add one later. You should keep going, with a team you would do some amazing productions I can see. I envy your skill at such age.

Thanks a lot for the feedback 😃. I will 100% be adding more features to the game after the game jam. Maybe something like maybe maps, or some other stuff. I did add the time recording feature but was unfortunately able to make a lb for it. My idea for like 2lb, 1 based on overall score and other based on time. Like shortest game time type thing. But had exams so couldnt add that to the game.

The design of the game is really cute, the sfx are perfect, and the gameplay and level design was fun! I'd only suggest as a gameplay balance to either make the boost /free walking/ more expensive or for shorter duration, i did 10k score with only using boosts the whole game lol.

Ya! I had in mind to make the game not too difficult cause whenever I make anything a bit difficult of complicated then people give bad rating. So in this game I tried to balance it as much as possible keeping it to the easier side. Thanks for playing the game!

I first purchased the teleport to shop upgrade, after which I couldn't purchase any more. Could be a problem on my end since no one else has complained about it. Rest assured, I didn't dock points from my rating because of it

It would have been nice if there was a skip option for the intro.I wanted to play it again but the intro was annoying.Overall the game is good,art and music is good too.It was hard to go back to shop,then i found out theres a teleport upgrade.I would definitely play this again,also Good luck for the jam!

The random pig squeaking was a little annoying, you could correlate it to actions (like the loud OIIIGHK being when you fall or die), but beside I really love everything else!

Fun little game!

I like the high-score aspect of it. I ended up getting about $7500 on my best run!

The platforming was very responsive, and fun to do, and the shop was an interesting thing to keep in your mind when walking cost money.

That was cute, and a really interesting gimmick.

I got 2000 money then fell down and gave up lol.

Visuals are great mostly. The contrasting of the text on the screen initially is problematic. Makes it hard to read because it's so bright and white text too. Hurt my eyes.

Audio was nice and minimal. Calming.

Gameplay was fun, and simple.
