How does the game fit the theme?
The protagonist goes to visit a friend of hers (called Sarah), however, on his ride to the elevator, she finds herself to be stuck on the elevator. When Sarah heads down at another elevator she also finds herself stuck. However when the door finally decides to open, they realize that they aren't in the same "reality" they used to, traversing through countless of odd rooms, using only the cellphone as a form of communication, in a hope that they can get out together.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We made almost every asset of the game except:
a few sound, in which we got from pixabay
and the font, which was made by YūkiPixels

Wow!!! such a cool game!! I loved the theme and the atmosphere! empressive work, especially for 1 week!!! Feel free to check out our game too :)

O-M-G, I can’t believe what I just played! Three people did this in a single week? That’s insane! You guys realize this is basically at the level of a full-release game right? Just imagine what you could achieve in a month! Honestly, this is the best game I've tried in the jam so far, 5 stars across the board because you absolutely earned them.

It’s absolutely polished! I completed it 100% and loved the mysterious concept, the gorgeous art ♥ and the UI screens, the plot, the particles, the variety of environments, and the SFX details were spot on. I especially loved how the sound varies when pressing the same key multiple times (great attention to detail!). The hand cursor movement is so fluid, and the puzzles are amazing! There are so many mechanics: logic, point-and-click, throwing, numbers, wiring, and more. It’s wonderful. I got myself thinking that I would love to play the other character puzzles too!

Seriously, this game 100% deserves to be featured by Brackeys or even win a category. What you’ve achieved in a week is incredible: highly functional, polished, well-designed, cohesive, and complete. Congratulations! It was a fantastic experience! 🏆

Omg bro thanks for the review!
We feel so happy that we could make a experience like this and get feedbacked so positively about it. It's really rewarding know that people like you enjoyed the game so much. We, aprecciate so much the kindness that you gave and we're glad that you really liked it.

About the other player puzzles, I suggested to the team expand the game to be possible to play hers puzzles too, I think it would be really nice. This game have so much possiblities to grow, even more considering that it's final is not closed, so we could just add more and more rooms to play.

Thank you again, friend!

OK, there is no way I am going to finish this and have time left to try and rate more games, because I am already stuck, but I'm loving this and I want to know what happens next so I'll finish later. :-)

Submitted(+2)

Wow! I just finished the game and I’m literally speechless. The puzzles were fun, the story was incredible, and the level of polish for just one week is insane. This is definitely one of the best games I’ve tried in this game jam. Amazing job!

Submitted(+2)

Ngl I may be dumb, I was able to get the first puzzle after like 10 mins. but the second left me stumped :sob: usually in the puzzle games i like (one shot) you just have to manage resources in a way that leads to the puzzles solution :sob: what I was able to get to, was really good tho :3

Submitted(+3)

insane amount of variety and polish for a one week jam :0 that being said, i do think it goes on just a smidge too long- those first two puzzles were brilliant (numbers one gave me some nice blueprince vibes, and once i figured out the trick for the colour one it was v satisfying to complete!) but then it kind of derails quite a bit. i felt like the vibe slowed down a bit much on the connecting wires one (but the rope simulation was excellent) and appreciated that the 2nd half of the turret section was much easier than the first :] the clock puzzle part was very visually simulating but the puzzle paled in comparison to the first two (maybe im an oldhead and can just read analogue clocks lolol maybe younger people struggle now?). once i reached the snow area i wondered if that was the final section (was there a puzzle here? i just kinda wandered and found the elevator and am worried i missed something!). overall, wonderful artwork (i really like your lil 8 directional pixel guy! v smooth) and a fun collection of minigames (was really expecting to get scary maze game'd in the arcade), i feel like the only thing missing is a stronger connecting thread :] so much variety from a small team tho- bravo!

sorry for the wordy reply omg hshs i just wanted to touch on everything and there was just so much

Developer(+1)

Wow, what a complete review! You got it, we really got inspired by the maze jumpscare game and the blue prince puzzle haha. The snow part was just a break for the final room, we thought that a room to just pass by it would be nice. You were one of the first to catch this much references, congrats!

Thank you so much for the review!

INSANE amount of polish and scope for 1 week. Incredible work. Thoroughly enjoyed playing this. I actually found this cause I also made an Apartment themed game! Very different vibes but would love to get your thoughts :)

Thank you!!! i'll definitely love to check yours!

The puzzle idea behind figuring out how to progress and escape is nice and the phone UI adds to the immersion for sure. I would say I'd prefer the puzzles to be something more than just school-level tasks. Something more strange like deciphering alien language, or switching levers that change the room structure or visual, or stuff in that sort. But that's just me, was enjoying my time anyways, good job!

Visuals:

1 ... I love thing  publish page bg animation -> elements fits together very well.

2 ... LV 1 before going to elevator -> colors adjustment (walls & floors looks almost the same)

2.1 . Character colors are almost the same as bg & walls -> hard too see

3 ... This elevator scene with little tunning (animation would look much better -> example: little samera movement of elevator)

4 ... I am not sure but are those messages scripted to appear after 3sec?

Design:

1 ... Giving player option to disable phone & decide when to send message -> gives the feeling of control.

..... Now I am not able to turn off phone when I want.

1.1 . but this phone message with elevator looks interesting

2 ... I would rather see I am able to spam answers than wait (2sec) if I fail

3 ... what if I fail this puzzle? -> its

4 ... color puzzle would make people give up (is this LV 2 Power Ranger riddle)?

Bug:

1 ... spamming E on closed elevator stacks messages "cant open"

2 ... Looks like you have trigger on test: click test -> exit -> you can not reopen test except going out of trigger range & re-enter.

3 ... writing correct answer -> you are able to enter another answer -> you get message wrong (correct answer still applies)

Sound:

1 ...I can listen this sound more than 5mins good job

Great game. A LOT of content for 1 week. The story is well written and interesting. The puzzles are cool (I had a very hard time on the first 2). The last level was a bit frustrating because some path looked walkable but were not. Overall very fun and one of the best of the jam. Congrats!

Developer(+1)

We're so glad you enjoyed our game! It's really cool to hear that you've posted before "I will hold out to fully experience later" and then you actually beated our game. TYSM for the feedback!

I like the art for the controls on the jam page. Love the art style for the world. I like the little jiggle on the hand when it moves, nice game feel. UI and dialogue looks very nice and clean. The puzzles are cool! I really like the idea of the friend participating in the puzzle solving too. Good variety of puzzles, definitely very ambitious for a jam game but well executed. I think the gun level was really frustrating cause the blind spots were hard to see and I kept getting stuck on wall corners. I tried to cheese it on the green squares level and clipped the cursor out of bounds, unfortunately soft locking the game. Would have been nice to have a way to reset the level so I could continue. Overall it was a very interesting and nicely polished game. Excellent work!

Developer(+1)

ouch, we so sorry we got you softlocked, but thank you for the feedback! That really helps, im glad that you enjoyed it even with those problems, thank you for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Your game looks insane but I've been stucked on the first puzzle outside the elevator. It honestly looks like one of the best entries in the jam so I will hold out before I rate the game in order to fully experience later when I come back to it. But from what I've seen this is soome insane work and quite humbling. Congratulation!

Everything is pretty cohesive, i love it. The art, the visual, the concept. Incredible.

Feel free to play our game ! (there's interface too, and pixel art ahah)

Developer(+1)
