Very eerie atmosphere. Definetly a strange place. I love that the tundra folds onitself.  That gives it a very unreal feeling.  I dont play a lot of shooters but I had fun with this  one. For controls I would have liked not having to aim at items to pick them up. Especially as I couldnt aim at them when standing too close.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! Tundra folding on itself is probably one of my favorite parts of the game.

Impressive for a game made solo !

Maybe i'm dumb, but i cannot take any objects on the map to extract, so i'm a bit confused !
anyway, congrats !

Feel free to test our game !

Developer(+1)

Nah nothing wrong with you, few people reported a bug where they could not pick up items sometimes. Thank you for playing!

The game looks really cool! And the atmosphere is really eery. This is a really cool game, I just wish more of it was made from scratch. Well done and keep it up!

Developer

Thank you for playing! This was my first jam having been a hobbyist game dev for a few years. My goal was to make a complete simple extraction game (mainly a full game loop) that fit the theme. And I needed to keep the scope as small as possible. Which meant using character model and sound assets.

I am learning 3d modelling human characters. I am liking the progress I am making there and hopefully by the next Brackeys jam I can make my own!

Exactly, I think that's what using free assets is good for: as a starting point! This is a really promising first jam game, I'm exited to see what games you'll make next 😁

Amazing art style, cool game loop

Developing this game all on your own and you finished with something that works and is actually enjoyable? Kudos!

I love the vibe, that camera shader adds to the ominuous setting. I like the theme where you have to gather cubes for the cat, definitely strange. The only thing that would really drive the idea home is different portals but I’m sure you have planned it.

As others mentioned, the camera pitch is a little too limited and so it’s hard to get items laying on the floor but once you get used to that you just stand further away. While gaming I was thinking how could the gameplay be improved and I think that if you dropped the inventory and instead just allowed auto-apply when you enter into the food/drink, that would be great. Limiting ammo as well, you’d have to pick it up. It would allow you to really get into the groove, Diablo style, and focus on getting those cubes.

Again, really enjoyed this, thank you for all the time and effort!

game's pretty cool,
but it's kinda annoying not be able to look down a lil further cuz I find myself keep missing trying to pick up items.

you did sooo good mate, just one tiny thing that i wanted was the ability to shoot automatically, every thing else was great.

Submitted(+1)

Yaaay, I saved the world! Really fun game. Like others mentioned in the comments, the ammo could be limited, but honestly, the fact that it isn’t helped me finish the game, hahaha. Good job!

Amazing. Gameplay is smooth, ambiance is top notch, theme is respected. Loved playing it. In my opinion an ammo system would have been great. The rifle is a bit too overpowered because of that. But great work!

Developer

thanks for the kind words and taking the time to play!

Nice visuals and solid presentation.

An upgrade system between runs could make it even deeper and more replayable.
Good job! 💚
Feel free to check out our game too.

Took me a few runs to find my groove but I think the fact that I kept trying is a testament to how fun it is . 2 bugs I noticed is that the player loses all forward momentum when jumping and kind of just keeps you in place. And after a while I was no longer able to interact with anything so I was just run and gunning until my health hunger and thirst ran out. Fun times though all things considered!

Developer

Thanks for playing!!

I like it, you almost have to manage them bc if not you cant get about the extraction <3

Wow, I liked the atmosphere so much, great job!

Developer

Thank you!

I saw the video showcase on youtube I really liked the style of the game. Only comment I have is that sometimes the right arm of the monsters seemed to be like a bit floppy I guess? Maybe something with the movement throws it off.

Developer

That's probably related to the very quick implementation I did of the new Godot IK system.

Thank you for taking the time to play!

Fun extraction shooter!

Making the interaction boxes on the items a little bigger would maybe help with item gathering frustrations.

Also, having an enemy that is either ranged, or moves slightly faster than the player to be threatening pre-extraction phase  would be a great addition :)

Developer(+1)

Agreed on both points! Thank you for playing!

AMAZING GAME! I love the sound effects! I love how great the gameplay feels and the artstyle of the game, kinda gives off like Ultrakill and SCP vibes off it? Idk, but I love it! I clicked on the game for the hilarious title, and I was really surprised about how well this is done (A little disappointed by how little cats there were lmao :D)! I didn't encounter any major bugs during my playthrough, but I will say, the picking up items mechanic was a bit iffy and annoying. There were also times where my bullets didn't hit the enemies, but maybe thats just my PC rendering issue or something? Overall, great game!

Good work dude! Long live the cat.

If you like weird brain teasing puzzle platformers check out our game!!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing and the great comment. The not hitting the enemies sometimes is for sure the game itself, not your PC. I wanted to so badly add some more story/conversations with the cat, but ran out of time.

I will check out your game for sure!

Very cool game i like cat and mechanics. Its very fun and creative game :D just its is hard to pick up items.

My favourite jam game so far! Was a lot of fun, nice work :)

Developer

Ah thank you so much! Super appreciated.

Its got that nice playstation aesthetic and the controls are good. Reminds me a bit of old arcade games. Would've preferred if you were able to pickup items by just walking over them. Impressed by the amount of content in such a small time.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Honestly kind of agree with you on the item pick up. Sometimes simpler is better.
