The flashlight/visibility mechanism is cool. Great work!

I would have preferred arrow keys for movement. I was aggressively clicking to reach the door on time and end up clicking my bookmarks instead

But perhaps, that is part of the challenge.
I didn't understand at first why the items are considered in strange places... and it dawned on me that I might be a strange person for not finding it strange. I probably would have arranged my house similarly.
It's a cool concept! Maybe you can add random strange objects in the house to add creepiness (e.g. doll heads, barrel of gasoline, bloody shears) Like a hidden story where you are a thief but the house owner is a psychopath. If you don't reach the door on time, something worse will happen than just getting your boss' wrath.
I like the art, animation and sound design. The race against time while trying to find the correct items and run back to the door, was very fun.
Sometimes the player didn't want to move when clicking with the mouse. When getting a game over, there was no try again button, so I had to reload the page to try again.
Overall, a very fun game with good lighting and simple UI.
Congratulations on the game!
I really liked the concept and its execution. I wish I could have held down to move my character instead of tapping repeatedly. And in the first level, I couldn't get out of the room (kitchen?) I entered to steal the fridge because an "invisible wall" appeared on the way and prevented me from going back.
The visual design is quite nice, I liked the level design, it's not a simple game. If we had a rough minimap of the house we entered to rob, we could have developed strategies to make the best use of the limited time. Considering the limited time of this game jam, it's not something I would give negative points for. But I hoped it would have been included.
Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately I didn’t have enough time for proper playtesting so I’m aware that the balance may not be perfect and there may be bugs I didn’t notice. As for the map, my idea was to achieve the sense of unfamiliarity by forcing the player to explore this space on their own and in the dark, so if it’s only a matter or limited time, I’d rather increase the time but leave exploration aspect untouched :)
I liked the idea of trying to steal things from strange places.. I wanted them to be even more outlandish!
Cool game! I wasn't a huge fan of clicking to move, but I guess it did feel strange. The world design was pretty good! I did like how things weren't where I expected, which made it hard. I think that combined with the mouse controls made it difficult. Good game though! I was half expecting a jump scare lol.
Great game, it reaminds me of those game ads with a vision cone and enemies chasing you !
Cool idea and the visuals are very cute, I like them. The flashlight effect also really enhances the atmosphere.
Neat idea! Might be cool to make what you grab randomize per day, or you have a blueprint with just room names of the house before you start to assume that "this is where I would find a lamp or poster". Love the atmosphere!
It was fun to play! Somehow, toward the end, it felt a bit like working through a shopping list,(in a good way though) :D
I also really liked that the controls were kept very simple.
Nice unique game, although I couldn't find the coffee machine. I'd sometimes get stuck on walls while navigating, but overall it worked okay. I think there's a slight bug in the door, that it will clear all of your progress, even if you're in the middle of a run. But overall it's quite a nice effort for being a solo project! The background music was well done, and added to the tension.
