I'm fond of the artwork! Not too cozy winter but an enjoyable game nonetheless!

I got into narrow hole on the left in the starting place, then I could go to the boss room faster :) It was really fun to play. Nice work!

I'd appreciate it if you could play our game too

I love this art so much!

The graphics and effects are simply stunning. As I read below, you simply didn't have time for a full soundtrack. I really enjoyed the game. If you have time, please rate my game.

You built a very creative and fun game in this short time. The boss fight was a bit challenging and that maze section could have ended up badly xD. I assume that no music was intentional to create a sort of earie effect for the player? Effects and visuals are very good, well done and congrats!

Hey, thanks, loved Sheep Keeper!

And music is definitely coming to Ghostwrap but the TIC-80 doesn’t allow importing audio files, every bit of audio is synthesized so I just didn’t have time for a proper soundtrack. Will do that in the next few weeks.

Love the Retro style, didn't expect to see a TIC-80 game during the jam, congratulations !

I’m loving TIC-80! Lots of constraints but also very capable. I’m not sure how to make the HTML export mobile-friendly though.

Looking forward to dig into the music tracker and add music to this game.

Very interesting engine you choose! Absolutely love the retro vibe it is giving with the sounds and all the pixels.

Cool little game :). For futur fix may be, if you drop a bomb and then change screen, the bomb move to the current screen.

I love the artstyle! It reminds me of classic rpg titles. I like retro looks a lot so I never pass up a chance to play a game like this. The minimalism of the control scheme lets me focus on the gameplay, which I appreciate. The controls are also very responsive. I kinda wish there was background music, but even without one this is a great game.

the pixel style is super fun! The vibe isnt neccessarily cozy but playing it definitely is!

This was super fun — it felt like the first Zelda. I love it! Not sure if it was cozy, but definitely a great game.

Cute, nostalgic little game. It was almost like playing the retro Snake game offensively. Very enjoyable mechanic.

Solid game. My only feedback would be to randomize the dialogue sounds. If you wanted to keep the dialogue as it is where the whole messages loads at once, then I would just play a little blip a certain amount of times at random pitches. Hearing the same dialogue sound repeated over and over made me not want to talk to any of the npcs lol. But the game was fun! I liked the look and the gameplay was good. I liked that there was an actual goal and an ending.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I’ll take that into account. I think others are also annoyed by the dialogue sounds ;)

Fun and original game with very unique mechanics βœ¨πŸ•·οΈπŸ‘»
We wish it would have been easier to understand how to access to the boss without having to read the spoilers.
Great job overall 🌈

Nice game, the spider has a lot of personality even though its simple. The looping mechanic was creative.

I was wanting there to be more use for the bombs though, like some Zelda style secret hidden passageways or something. Also support WSAD for movement.

I really liked the minimalist style. I found the spider very cute, I don't know why, but I was a little nervous while playing, thinking I was going to die :D I really loved it, it's a fantastic game, and the concept is very original. I would be very happy if you took a look at our game too :D

Nice dialogue! I liked lines like "Your thread looks sharp" it almost reminds me of silksong! The mechanic with looping around ghosts and using your thread to block off their pathing was very clever and intuitive. The graphics are really simple and cute as well, which I think is effective for the nostalgic feel of the game!

Like other commenters have said I couldn't figure out how to reach the boss in the middle (looped around the whole forest twice... I'll look at the description and have another go). There was also a moment where exiting and re-entering a room spawned a ghost that I had just killed (I presume because I didn't finish off all the ghosts in that room?) It would be nice if they stayed down ^^

Thanks, BuffBakery. This is great.

I have a bugfix release ready as soon as the embargo is lifted!

Love the game mechanic! However, I couldn't figure out how to get to the big ghost in the middle.

Developer

Thank you! I just added very strong hints in the game’s description.

That makes sense now, I see how you were hinting at that in-game!
