How does the game fit the theme?
The main mechanic of the game is PLACING STRANGERS in harm's way. The game is named Strangeville, after the STRANGE PLACE where it's set. You only get to know the STRANGE people after they have taken your PLACE in the line of fire.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We made everything during the jam except some SFX and music

Congratulations! Your game is excellent. Very engaging, challenging, and a lot of fun. I really enjoyed playing it.
Thanks a lot for playing our game... And for your kind comment!
I really liked the art style, great work. At first it seemed a bit easy, but in the last wave the strangers were really dangerous. Exceptionally great submission to the GameJam :)
Thanks a lot for playing our game and sharing your lovely comment!
I really liked the texts that appeared when people died... and yeah, maybe I was a little bit sadistic an let some people sacrifice themselves unnecessarily 😈
Nice Game!
Thanks a lot, so glad you enjoyed the texts!
This was really fun to play! The visuals are super appealing and the soundtrack adds a lot to the experience.
A small volume control setting could make it even better.
Great job! 💚
If you have time, I’d love it if you checked out our game too and shared your thoughts.

I loved the art so much, those characters are beautiful!
Shoutout to the composer for the music. I enjoyed it so much; it's really well produced!
Loved it from the start to the end even if you are not part of the Godot family !
Thanks a lot for playing our game and sharing your very kind words!
Those strangers were definitely dangerous. Beautiful art style, loved the music, it helped creating the atmosphere. Nice mechanics i really enjoyed it, this has a lot of potential for more complexity, hope you'll add to it. Congrats!

I love how funky this game is. I can't help but to think of Cult of the Lamb when playing it. Great job!
Thanks for playing our game and so glad you enjoyed it. Comparison to CotL is high praise indeed, cheers!
Oh no, now gamebreaking bugs won't be fixed because of the strangers that had sacrificed their lives for the greater good! Such cruel stranger dangers.
Thanks a lot for playing our game all the way through!
The game is very visually polished. everything feels clean and well presented. I really liked the detail of writing down the names and what they had done when you sacrifice them. It’s a small touch, but it adds a lot and makes the experience even more impactful.
Thanks a lot for playing our game! Not everyone takes the time to read flavour text... It makes me so happy that you did!
Very nice and loved the art style especially the homes.
Thanks for playing our game! As the artist on this one, means a lot to hear that :))
This was a neat game. It felt very polished. I had excite rise in me as I never knew which person was going to get possessed and turn on me- talk about feeling stranger danger XD
Nice job!
Thanks a lot for playing our game through to the end and sharing your lovely comment!
Wow, this game is great! I was really impressed on how well polished the game was. The great little blurbs about the killed strangers was icing on the cake. The only feedback I can give, is that an indicator telling you which direction to go would be nice otherwise if you walk the wrong way you can wander around for quite a while before you find the piece you need. Great work with everything, especially the stranger danger!
Thanks so much for playing our game all the way through! Great feedback, noted :D
It was a lot of fun! I thought the system that lets enemies take each other out was really great!
Thanks for playing our game... I wasn't sure if it was apparent that you could do that and it's awesome that you figured it out! Personally, my favourite bit while play testing :D
This was really fun! I love the stranger danger thematic :) I really liked the visual differences in the pieces. It conveyed that was progress and an end goal and not just waves with a high score. Nice design!
Thanks a lot for playing our game all the way through! Your comment means a lot :))
Wow this game looks and sounds great! Gameplay was enjoyable and was a creative twist on the theme. Really great entry!

Wow, this game already looks pretty polished for a game jam entry.
Thank you for playing our game!
I really love this take on the theme! Very creative 😆. The art is beautiful and the descriptions of the casualties in each level were a great touch. Nice job!

Great atmosphere and nice polish on the game! Great work!
Thank you for playing our game!
I loved this game. I think I really was the most well-executed jam game I've played. I often get lost in scope creep, but it seems you guys had a plan and executed on it to the max. Using Stranger danger as the theme was not what I would have thought, but it really turned out well. Everything in the game was fully fleshed out, from the gameplay to the art. I was so focused while playing, I couldn't even tell it was the same song on loop. Loved It.
Thanks so much for playing our game all the way through! Your kind words are such a solid morale boost! :))
The artwork on this one is phenomenal! Reminded me of Cult of the Lamb! Great gameplay as well!
Thanks a lot for playing our game!
