This was a super cool, the combo mechanics were really fun to play around with.  Discovering the new combos was really exciting and increased the strategy a lot. I couldn't really read the cards though, the text was very small. Good work!

Developer

Thank you!

Cool mechanic design! The combo effects are really diverse and fun. A quick question on the mechanics: why do both buying and playing cards cost energy? It feels like board capacity and buying power should be separate systems. Also, while the combos are great, the random card draws make it hard to plan ahead—adding more player agency would be awesome!
(Small bug: Some buttons and card purchases didn't respond occasionally. Might need a quick look!)

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

We did think about adding a separate resource for card draws, but decided to keep one shared energy system to make players choose between getting new options or placing them on the board. That said, we agree that players need more control over their deck and more options/buildings to interact with cards, and it’s something we’d explore if we continue working on the game!

Really nice game.

I like the idea of combos between the towersm it’s a cool mechanic.
Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! The whole idea behind the game was experimenting with combos between Strange Places, so we're really glad that aspect stood out to you

This game is a lot of fun but also makes you THINK. I love how you added the Interaction bar where you cn see what is happening on a field.

Developer

Thank you! We wanted players to understand how different Strange Places interact with each other, so the Interaction bar was our way of making those synergies more readable

Very cool card-based tower defense design. The trap debuff system adds meaningful strategic depth, and the decision between the upgrade cost structure forces players to make deliberate trade-offs rather than obvious choices.

Developer

Really appreciate that!

Excellent castle protection. I was impressed by the variety of rages and auxiliary elements.

Developer

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

I really like the combination of tower defense and roguelite. The sprites and music fit together perfectly, the difficulty seems a bit high, but it's playable and fun.

However, the text on the cards is a bit small if you're not playing in fullscreen mode.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Balancing and UI readability are definitely things we’d focus on if we continue development beyond the jam

i like tower defense game, and yours also really good, i enjoyed playing it! The only problem for me is the text on the card is too small, but overall a great game!

Developer

Thanks for pointing that out! We will focus on UI/UX more in our next entry

Good game!

Developer

Thanks!

really enjoyed the gameplay on this one!! did two playthroughs, although when I reached wave 24 the challange rift button stopped working :(

for the visuals, it wouldve been good to highlight the selected cards and upgrades with like a little bit bold outline, also the text was way too small on my screen.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! We will work on UI/UX more!

Nice game!

I like the idea of "Deckbuilding x Tower defense" in general

One negative point(already mentioned by others) is that the presentation felt a bit too static, both visually and audiovisually.
(Thats something I also noticed after this game jam, and I definitely need to improve on it myself as well...)

Developer

Thanks for checking it out!

Super great game!! really satisfying to play

Developer

Thank you for checking it out!

Drag system:

delayed too much -> maybe its best to teleport <Card> to mouse location

Feeling:

all elements are static (no animation) -> maybe add:

A ... simple sinus/texture noise distortion

B ... camera movement around visible map

just for the shake sth is moving

Other Animations

When player do action like:

click/hovering on button -> do some visual, sound feedback

Sound

Interesting -> but I found pattern loop very fast -> short repetitive feeling

Developer

Thank you for your feedback!

Adding clearer visual and sound responses for actions like clicking or hovering over buttons would improve the overall game feel a lot. If we continue working on the game, we’ll definitely focus on improving those aspects.

Great game! Loved the many different combinations of effects and how they affected the damage

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Really fun game! The gameplay loop is very addictive, and the music is nice. Like another guy also said, once i figured out the stacking of the gold and the gambling cards, I just swept through the rest of the waves, which was very satisfying to watch :D

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed the game. The interactions encourage the player to try out all the different buildings. I ended up playing more than I expected, hahaha. Good job!

Developer

Glad you liked it!

Really good! Reminds me of Isle of Arrows and Loop Hero. I hope you continue working on it because I would love to play an expanded version of this!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Loop hero was one of our references, will certainly take a look at Isle of Arrows!

Great game! and really fun to play, as other people said, the different results different combinations of towers make is really fun, overall really enjoyed it!

Great game! Keep it up!❤

Thanks ♥!

I love the different interactions with the towers and trying to optimise my energy across waves, kept me hooked for a fair while lol

Only feedback ive got is it would be nice to move structures since there were a few times I misplaced them but other than that loved the game!

Developer

Thank you for playing!
Yes, I agree -- being able to move placed buildings would definitely make sense.

Submitted(+1)

I'm a big fan of the idea of having interactions between the difference places, and using that to construct unique synergies between different buildings in your deck, and I think you do a good job of using that here! I do like the graphics and concept, but the game just didn't seem to hook me for some reason? Part of it was because it sort of felt kind of like I ended up doing the same thing every wave, and having to replace all the Strange Places every time got a bit repetitive. I feel like if you spiced things up to make each turn/wave more compelling, this game would become amazing! ^^

Developer

Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback!

Your point about the waves feeling repetitive and having to replace all the Strange Places each time is very fair. We agree that adding more variety and making each turn feel more distinct would make the experience much more engaging. If we decide to continue developing the game beyond the scope of the jam, we’ll definitely focus on improving this aspect.
