It would be nice if there was the option to use a keyboard key as mouse1 instead of clicking. My arm was getting a bit fatigued from all the trial and error on the dark levels, and once the figure 8 level went dark I just gave up because I don't think I have the precision left in me to do that in the dark.

Submitted

I like the idea but the walls feel like they are too closed-in. It feels more like precision than a puzzle. Also the idea of the dark puzzle was good, but I think it was overused. Very polished and fun game.

I’ll definitely come back to finish them all, I love this kind of games and I’m enjoying this one. It started a bit slow with the first ~12 levels being very similar, but then it gets really interesting. And the visuals combined with the sfx makes it very satisfying to draw the lines.

Crazy amount of content for a game jam! really cool game, I will say that some of them might have needed some actual hints because i got a bit lost 😅 overall very impressive!

Developer(+1)

Thankyou so much! Yeah I'd working on balancing some of these levels

I didn't expect to get SO into this game, but I really became obsessive in trying to complete all the levels!! I played some levels while queueing for games in Overwatch, so it was a perfect way to keep me busy hehe..

I agree with what a lot of people said in the comments: the dark levels are hard & tedious without hints.

Despite that, I finished the complete game, so good job on creating a game that got me hooked (●'◡'●)/

Developer

Respect for finishing the whole game!

Ooof this game is hard! Great job making some really challenging puzzles that were fun to play. I had to give up at 37 and I would love for a hint on that one. The 3D solve was sneaky.. I didn't think it was very intuitive but luckily I got there anyway after mashing my keeb.. XD

*Edit* okay I got past 37.. I think I just need to keep taking "mental health breaks" from these very difficult puzzles haha

Developer

You're almost there!! :')

Very clever puzzle game with a well-thought-out design.

I almost gave up on the 3D one then I was spamming different things, and then it clicked and I was like AHHHH I love it.

Also....I may of slightly inflated the Solved on the last level as you can click play again and do Dev command over and over.... SORRY  ;)

Developer

No worries, it's on me, I should have had people circle back to Level 1 after finishing them all.  Also, did you spam the dev command because you felt that there's some easter egg that would let you play the remaining planned 10 levels I mentioned there?

Very addictive puzzle design. It's "just connecting dots," as you say ;) lol, but somehow it stays super engaging the whole time. Beautiful UI, ultra clean and polished. The drawing animation and sound effects add a lot of charm, and the satirical ads are a riot. Love how the title text reacts to the mouse too.

The #'s of solves below the level number is awesome. Especially seeing it dropping on  the harder levels. Such a wonderful metric to have for player retention. Really impressive amount of levels for a jam, as well. This is super polished and pretty addictive. This would be a banger on mobile.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback :D thinking of doing a web release instead of mobile as I think fingers would block your view of the lines as you draw making it a harder experience

A fun game, but perhaps interesting levels should start a bit earlier. Solid entry overall, good job!

Developer

thanks for playing ^^

I really wanted to like this game, and I think I do, but not very much.

It was fun at first. I even got my drawing tablet out, and connecting the dots was quite fun. But that one dark level and the 3D level really stressed me out, I almost had a mental breakdown.

It has potential, but maybe you can actually add hints in the full game? Adding hints would probably ruin the puns, but idk.

Good job, and I wish you luck!

Developer(+1)

Yes there's def a balance that I wish to target to have the best of both worlds, thankyou so much for your feedback and playing the game!

What a simple yet great game!

Pretty polished allready and with alot of jokes.
I loved the drawing sound!

The 3D Level was really tricky...
Lucky i did try the "dev" Button and accidentally found out what to do...

One suggestion I have is to introduce a Ctrl hotkey (or similar) to constrain strokes to perfectly straight lines. This would improve the drawing experience, particularly for tight corners and multi-line drawings

Good feedback, I'll look into some way of optimizing the path gen in general, thanks for playing & respect for finishing the game  🫡

I tapped out at level 39. I just could not wrap my head around the sphere without that line wiping out all my hard work! That was maddeningly fun to play, especially the dark levels (especially maddening, i mean!). My biggest issue was actually getting the lines to be pixel perfect at points where it was a tight squeeze for connections. Incredible game, especially in such a short period of time. I'd love to see more!

Developer

thanks, you almost made it!!!

Really cool concept.

The black background rooms can be quite tough

but its really cool you managed to make that many levels

I would have loved to see my last trial if I redo the level as transparent lines because I kept forgetting how I had connections already + its makes it a bit easier to navigate the black levels

But it was really fun good job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I've received a bunch of suggestions to help people work around dark levels -> need to work on it post jam. Thank you so much for playing :D

Submitted(+1)

F*cking beautiful game! Guess who forgot the dev hotkey and have to replay in incognito mode just to see it :} Superb job anyways!

Developer

So many people have started finishing the game, madlads, all of you!! Glad you liked it, and don't stress the last level it's just satire anyways. I'll play yours & review it too :D

Fun game, the amount of levels is impressive. A very polished game and loved the jokes :)

Developer

thanks for playing, glad you liked it ^^

That's super fun game! Simple concept but so fun to play:) The black levels were quite hard for me - but my screen was covered in dust and I was orientating myself with little dust pieces hehe:)

It was also fun with these little jokes:)

That's how far I got - to level 3D - I figured out that it's probably a sphere but didn't figure out what I should do - maybe I'll try to think a bit more and return to the game later

Developer(+1)

Thankyou so much for playing, I'm really enjoying these comments where people are figuring out different ways to work around the darkmode level haha, maybe not balancing them was not a bad idea, love seeing the creative ways you guys figured out around it :D

This is so creative and fun to play! Great game!

Yeah there's a reason this is one of the most rated games in the Jam. Talk about addictive! Holy cow what a game. And 40 levels of this beauty in one week?!?! holly cow. And so much polish! My only suggestion would be to make your previous attempts (or maybe just your last couple? )a semitransparent  line. Because for some of those darkrooms it is just about impossible to know exactly where to turn. For one of them I literally taped paper to my monitor in order to know where to turn. Though its a special kind of game that gets you that focused just to see the end! My favorite part was reaching the circle level and seeing # of successes go from 140 to like 9 lol. Back in the day I loved playing the impossible quiz so I had to see this one to completion as swell. All the little jokes where hysterical as well. during one of the fake-outs where the walls randomly showed up the text before said something like "Here's a brake after that crazy one :p" And even though I knew it was coming I just yelled GOD DAMN IT when the walls dropped in. Fantastic, it could really benefit from a Bennett Foddy style sarcastic voiceover for a final steam build!

Developer(+1)

Damn taping the paper to solve the level is crazy xD
Also 140 -> 9 was a jump between two consecutive levels or from the initial level to that specific level? If it was consecutive then that's def a bug 😭
Glad that you liked the puzzle design & the small jokes I put in there & def agree that the Bennet Foddy style voiceover would add a lot of charm to these jokes and I can work on some of them post jam!
Thankyou so much for playing, I'll play yours too & review it!

I'm exaggerating a little but I'm pretty sure I saw it drop at least 100 at I think the first 3d level
