Great game, I had a good time with it!!!
The idea is fun and you’ve got a really solid base here for a platformer. The dialogue gives it personality and some of the back-and-forth actually made me smile. The music and sound effects are nice too, and the particle effects (especially stuff like fire/water and enemy defeats) feel satisfying.
Movement-wise, I think the dash could be stronger. Right now it feels a bit short and abrupt, I expected it to carry me further and feel more impactful. General movement is decent but could be smoother overall. Also, the dialogue popping up in front of the character sometimes breaks the flow, especially when you die and have to re-read everything from the start.
That said, for a short jam project, this is genuinely impressive. There’s a lot of potential here. With tighter movement and some small UI tweaks, this could be really strong. Nice work!!!!

Cute game! I think the concept is pretty cool!
I dont like the shift dah mechanic, I think it would move more space and less abruptly.
For the rest, it is nice! You did a lot for a week project! :)
Interesting concept, nice game, thank you for sharing!
You did an awesome job for it being your first game and first game jam! I had a lot of fun with this, the banter between characters was funny and I think you nailed it on the theme. Fantastic work!
Something about the music and the textboxes remind me of a classic GBA game. Great work!
Loved the art in this game, but its too flat and lit, maybe some post processing will take it to next level. The dash could have been a bit more strong. Great game fellow first time jammer ;)
Nice, simple game. With a soild bases. Hope to see what it will become
pretty good foundation! I think the dash needs to be a bit stronger and also the movement in general feels a bit clanky, not very smooth but I think once you fix that aspect It'll be a very good game
also, a minor suggestion I think it is best to have the dialog and the character be visible at the same time other wise it feels a bit disconnected.
overall, very good! there is definitely a lot to this game
There's a really solid foundation here for a platformer. The movement kit with the double jump and dash feels like a good base to build on. The story was pretty funny, too. I liked the back-and-forth dialogue as things progressed. It gave the game some personality. Good particle effects, as well. The fire and water especially looked really good, and the effects on the enemy deaths were satisfying.
I liked the juxtaposition of the player character and their colleague, and a good way to communicate the narrative/explain how the skills work. Laughed at the dust bunnies.
Well done!
I had fun playing the game. I also really liked the dialogue, although at times it felt a bit interruptive bc the textbox was in front of the player. It might help to make it slightly smaller or place it at the top of the screen. When working with pixel art, it is usually recommended that all assets use a consistent pixel size. The music sounds great.
cute little platformer, i like the writing!
Really nice music! I like it, the dash is a bit short, not sure if that's intentional.
fun game! an enjoyable experience throughout but the intro does drag because of the constant dialogue interruptions, and having to restart them all when you die.
That was Fun! I really liked the sound design of your game :)
Really fun premise with great story telling. The levels made me feel like a teeny tiny person. The banter was fun. Well done!
Interesting game! I wish the beginning would not spawn me all the way back to the beginning if I lose. The dialogue had to be repeated. Also I feel like the dash could've been more impactful. Interesting game though and I appreciate the attention to detail and story!
Reminds me a ton of Harley's Humongous Adventure. A throwback indeed. Fun theme. I had a super hard time attacking without taking damage myself.
Good little game! Nicely done. Sad you run out of time, would have loved to do the entire story!
