The art is gorgeous ! Special mention to the witch's design, which is my favourite one ✨🌈💖
Love this game so much.
The theme implementation is really well thought out.
Definitely a game that I would like to play on the Nintendo Switch.
There are a few collision bugs with the seats.
Also, we think that the mirror reflections could be a little bit clearer to help distinguish more easily the tired faces from the sick characters when zoomed out.
One of us got stuck at the end of day 2 with no new customers coming up and no button to switch to the next day.
If you choose to update it after the jam, we would love some more clickable elements in the different rooms to discover 💖
We would also really like to learn more about the witch's lore if there is one ✨
Finally, I really appreciated the healing beverage because I think it matches really well the concept of a witch barista.
Congratulations on this very, very beautiful entry 💖☕🧙♀️
super cute! Definitely a game I'd play to wind down and relax! The designs are super cute
I LOVE THE WITCH CHARACTER DESIGN, the big eyes are so so cute, and the game as a whole is really cute and cozy, a great take on the theme ! I've never run into a frozen customer tho, did you not have time to implement it in the end ? Still, this submissions is one of the best of this jam, for sure, congratulations :D !
O they turn into Snowmen but there might be an issue with them freezing outside the camera bounds, we planned a tutorial level that would've explained better but didn't have time to implement it. Thanks for the feedback!
This feels like the type of game I'd play on mobile or the Switch before bed. It's something small and cute to cuddle up with. Sometimes the customers and screen scrolling were a tad slow, but I think that's just my own impatience. I also started off a little rough, not realizing where the tutorial was, but it was easily remedied, and once I got into the groove, it was no worries. All the visuals were very nice, especially the main character and the little creatures. Other than the buzzer sound when you hit the back button, the sound design was also very enjoyable, especially the noises the animals made. I think this game would be lovely to play outside of the game jam after a little polish. Very cozy, fits the theme wonderfully.
Hi thanks for the feedback! We planned a tutorial level but didn't have time to implement it but we are continuing to work on the game so it will be there in the next update!
Sounds good! 😊
Art is really beautiful. However tutorial could be better than wall of text before starting game. There could be at least a button during gameplay that pop ups tutorial info. First day was confusing, because I tried to find more ingredients, and I thought game bugged by not showing them at the beginning
amazing art but the gameplay is very lacking. it's a funny contrast really, everything especially the background is super detailed and well drawn and a very cozy artstyle fitting the jam. meanwhile there's layering issues, poor game design on how to play the game, slow pacing, and day 2 being bugged causing it to not continue. still I respect the effort and I gotta say cover art is beautiful.
Wow what can I say, the vibe, the art, the cozyness!
Amazing! I still cant get over how unique the art is, well done!
The artstyle is great and the gameplay was good. Unfortunately the game froze on day 2 for me so I couldn't finish it. The only issue I had was that there was no reason for me to unlock new areas since I could place all visitors in the first room. But maybe that changes in later days.
It's a pretty interesting idea, but the technical implementation is weak. The game also has an overloaded guide, so you can add interactive learning right during the game. I also liked the art and music. Also this game gives me good winter vibes :)
Thanks for the feedback. Since this is a cozy coffee shop sim, I focused more on atmosphere and flow than complex systems. Could you share what specifically felt technically weak within that scope? I’d love to understand what you think could be improved.
Now this is what I'm talking about. Everything about this project is great. The art and music are simple but mystical. The gameplay is simple but fun. The sounds make the game cozy. The mirror was a little confusing at first just because the first day is nothing but regular people so I was looking around for the coffee and ginger but never found it. Didn't make sense until I made it to day 2 and started seeing the tired people in the mirror.
I'm not sure what happened but at the end of day 2 the customers just stopped coming and eventually my shop was completely empty but I never had the option to close and go to day 3. But even so the experience of the first two days was nice! Very good job.
Wow, I really adore this! This reminded me so much of the kind of game you'd see on flash game websites years ago (RIP Flash). You all really nailed the vibes here and I would absolutely play more of something like this. Here are some more in-depth thoughts that I hope are helpful to you:
What I Liked:
Constructive Criticism:
Overall, this was really such a charming prototype you all put together, definitely one of my favorites out of what I've played. If you were to decide to continue with this project, I would absolutely encourage you to lean into the room upgrades and making those more interesting. I think it's one of the neater ideas you've got going on here.
Well done to you all!
I love tycoon games and this one was phenomenal! For some reason my customers stopped coming :( before the second day. Only thing that I think would have been better was to not have the "sad" emoji when you show your customers where to sit. Think it would have been better if it was just a "ou, ok..." , then when you purchase it can be happy or more. Well done on the game overall and congrats! Think this one is one of my favorites so far.
a very cozy tycoon game
super cute and cozy! wish i could stop by this cafe IRL. nice work!
Great work on incorporating the theme! I really like the vibe. Art style and music make it feel very wintery and give me this colorful wizardly feeling.
Oh, I wish I could visit this coffeehouse in real life! <3
I love the isometric art style !! The characters and the coffeehouse itself are really well designed ! I would love to see how this game could evolve
The drawings are amazing, the game is so cute, the characters and the cafe's atmosphere are very well thought out. And finally, I absolutely loved the witch! I'd appreciate it if you checked out our game too :3 https://sunhx.itch.io/yetti-cafe
Really nice environment art, lofty scope for a small jam! I could see the barista minigame being a lot of fun with expanded ingredients.
Love, love, love the art in this one. The characters and environments have such a great mood, you nailed the 'cozy' here for sure.
