How does the game fit the theme?
It is based on occult themings such as cults, which are definitely strange places of the world
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
None, all was made during the jam period, except for the sound effects which were "borrowed" from the internet.

Really excellent work, especially at only 14 years old! It seems like you already have a pretty good sense for the things that are missing and I’m sure with a little more time you would have had them in there.
Great work!
Wow thanks! Yeah, i would have enjoyed a little more time, mostly to work on a pause and settings menu. Glad you enjoyed it!
I love the weapon evolution! It’s a challenging game with a great atmosphere, I really liked the pixel art and I appreciate the replayability factor
To enhance the experience I’d suggest working on the camera movement. It feels a bit jittery and unresponsive at times. I couldn't finish it (probably a skill issue on my part), but it was a great experience nonetheless. Nice one!!
Happy you liked it! The camera stuff was really hastily made, so i understand it feels bad.
And also, the game is designed to be hard, so do not feel as though you NEED to complete it.
Thanks for the feedback!
very nice art, loved the theme you chose for the jam!!
first time I tried playing i coudn't move, but after refreshing the page, it worked!
That seems like a browser problem, but happy you enjoyed the game!
i liked the art, gameplay, the enemies were challenging but wasnt too hard. the upgrade mechanic was solid. Great game!
Thanks!
Nice one, I liked the added replayability built in by giving me two choices of weapons at the beginning. Highlights were the pixel art and overall game feel - screen shakes, particle effects, the good stuff that give a little extra polish. I'm not sure if you had health pick ups at some point that I might've missed, but that would have been appreciated - maybe a choice between refilling some hearts or powering up a weapon at the end of a level. And yes, always nice to give players a second or two after they enter the room before opening fire on them!
But you can be proud of this one, especially since you made everything during the jam. It's a really well put together game and I had a fun time with it :D
Thanks! I did have a health option in the upgrade menu, but it didnt work with the game very well, it was really overpowered in the late game and sucked in the beginning.
But thanks for the feedback!
Pixel art was incredible, I especially loved the blood effects from the knifes! However, I think that adding a bit of sound effect variation to the game would enhance it greatly; I felt a little annoyed from hearing the same sound effect from the kunais over and over again. Overall, really well made, especially for one person. Good luck with the jam!
Wow, thanks for the kind words! As I implemented audio as literally the last thing i did, i did not have time to make audio variation sadly.
Thanks for the feedback!
Cool atmosphere. I got pretty strong but kept making mistakes and died :( I liked the feeling of strafing and having a fan of knives shoot out.
Great that you liked it! Making mistakes is of course part of the journey, and as said in the description, the game is pretty hard by design.
But im happy you liked it!
This is great, although that first cultist needs to chill. He hit me with so many knives in the first room, died before I figured out what to do :) Top marks.
Yeah, but that's the point of trying again! You learn more for every attempt.
Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed the game!
A great room-based roguelike. The dark atmosphere and the bloody weapon design really stand out. The only criticism I would give is the good old Binding of Isaac trap of instant damage on room entry - unfortunately got hit by that more than I would like to admit. Otherwise really solid game.
Yeah, the instant damage is probably the biggest problem of the game. But thanks for the nice words!
Cool.
Yup.
Impressive game! Felt like enter the gungeon. Had alot of fun with it. You managed to do alot in such a short time, very nicely done!
Yeah, enter the gungeon was actually the main inspiration for this project! I wanted to make a bullet hell for a long time, so this was a perfect opportunity.
Thanks for the compliments!
I really like this game and it honestly reminded me alot of mine! Though I do wish the enemies had a decent cooldown before they could attack when entering a room, I usualy only took damage because an enemy shot me right as I enterd the room
Yeah, that was a pretty big problem in playtesting. Sadly, I never came around to fixing that, so this is how it turned out. Happy for the feedback though!
I escaped! Though ngl, I was sweating there cus I had a really big projectile but not much damage. Liked the rogue liked aspect and the vibe was really well done. Of course more control guidance (especially the door key) would've been nice and also maybe making the enemies spawn further from the doors. But overall I had fun and died a couple times before I made it to the end.
Was fun!
Yeah, the chunky upgrade wasnt that good nor balanced. The enemies spawning a bit too close is also on me, not making sure they spawned further away.
Great that you liked the game though!
I liked the use of lighting in this game. The punchiness of the weapons made the gameplay extra satisfying too. Good job!
Thanks, glad you liked it!
The combat feels really satisfying when hitting enemies, and the visuals are great. My only issue is that I lose track of the main character during frequent dashes. Also, the camera shakes even when I'm just standing still, is that intentional?
The camera shaking is not intentional, and comes from pixel snapping. It is surely possible to be fixed, but I do not know how to do that.
Losing track of the character is also on me, i should have made the player stand out a bit more towards the background.
Thanks for the feedback!
This game is very horrifying overall as the artwork is magnificent. The game is sort of hard due to the enemies shooting as soon as I entered a new room and the fact that the rooms are small, giving me less room to maneuver around
I know that the rooms are small, and i planned on making bigger rooms, but i just didn't have time.
But thanks for the feedback and compliments! Glad that you liked the artstyle as well!
This game is very fun! The enemies and scene look very nice and I had alot of fun playing!
Nice to hear that!
I really like the goopy effect on the dash. The roguelike elements were really fun too.
Glad that you enjoyed it!
Fun shooter i had a few goes of it with dagger and kunai and preferred the dagger as screen could get a bit cluttered with the kunai after throwing them.
Great that you enjoyed it! Of course the cluttering can be a problem, although it does balance the kunai a bit, as it can become incredibly powerful with the right upgrades.
Nice visually combat is fun. Some more audio work would be great. The upgrade system worked and the ennemies were just challenging enoug. Great work!
Happy you enjoyed it! I do know the audio is a problem, but I didn't find the time to improve it sadly.
Yeah of course it's a jam you always have to cut back on some features. You did great for the one week time. My feedback is for things you could work on next imo. I had a lot of fun playing your game!
