LOVE the retro lens and font used!

What. A. Game.

I love the way the gameplay loop which make reveal something weirder and weirder with text. That's perfect.

And the Art. Oh my gosh, love it.

Feel free to test our game !

Thank you, I had a lot of fun playing your game, it's really well made!

Felt like the computer on the Nostromo (from alien) and Hal (from 2001) had a baby. Story was a nice epistolary style, gave good flavor to the world, text and shader worked great. For gameplay wish the colonies selector had a few difficulties (plot twists) added in to keep you guessing and to give a better sense of accomplishment.. But maybe that's not the point ;).

Anyways, great work.

I'm really glad the UI gave you that impression, I'm a fan of both those movies ;).

you are right, the gameplay wasn't supposed to be that easy! Actually, five mistakes were allowed when I started working on the game, but I figured that with only three, it was still quite easy, so... xD

I didn't expect the direction this game would take when I started it, I really enjoyed it (a little sad but i love it :_) ). I loved how you used characters to represent all the images, the graphics in this game are great, I love the shaders you used, they fit perfectly.
I struggled to understand English, but I took my time with this game, reading all the entries as best I could and asking about anything I didn't understand. It was all worth it; I really loved it.
I waited a long time until the very end to see how they gradually turned into stars until the final sentence appeared.

lovely graphics! the ending is definitely strange! I like it, the sound design is pretty good too, overall great game!

The vibes are immaculate. I'm obsessed with the art and sound design. Well done!

Such strange ending. The story and little bit of mysteries feel pretty great.

The art is very unique and the story is pretty neat as well, which together with good use of the sound manages to really elevate the vibe really really well.

Very nice! I loved the art and the theme, the atmosphere really got to me and reminded me of Iron lung towards the end. Congrats :)

Congratulations on the game. I was a bit clueless at first, and then I understood the rules, haha. You need to be very careful not to choose the wrong planet, haha, but it's really fun even without monsters and enemies, just text.

i'm glad you liked it! Thank you

Loved the meta style of using a terminal as the main overall game concept! Very coolio! You should check out our game as well!

Really unique and very moody. The ending was cool, but too slow I think.

Like ASCII, me thumbs up

The combination of the CRT shader and the ASCII style art is really effective. The story was very intriguing, if anything I just wish it was a bit longer! The gameplay was maybe too easy, I was hoping for a twist in the mechanics of picking planets (the first time I picked a nice planet that had an error/empty picture I was sure something bad was going to happen). Great choice of music and an excellent fit for the theme :)

Developer (1 edit)

I wanted the gameplay to be much more intense and interesting, but I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for your feedback :)

I liked the music and the terminal style of the game, but the ending needs some work. The zoom-out was so slow I though I was supposed to do something to continue. The reports and places were really interesting and overall it was a nice calm experience, good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your review! yep the ending is awkward :/  hopefully I got a lot of review about this so I understand how I could have improved it
I played and loved your game btw!

over all really good.
I like the simple game play and for a short game the story got me intrigued .

what I liked

  • The sound design was nice
  • the simplistic art style isn’t something I see often and felt like a nice fit for the game.
  • as said before the story intrigued me

what could maybe use work.

  • the scroll out at the end starts off maybe a bit too slow and took awhile for the first  other (spoiler) to be seen. but the speed after a few where on screen was good.
  • in I think report 3, I think the font used is missing an apostrophe so a stand in character was used.
  • the CRT effect felt a bit too intense.

over all average score 4.2/5 loved it.
