What a fun game! And I love the sound effects and that voice over is amazing. I can't believe you put together such a great game in such a short time. Really great - I'll be back to play again for sure.

This is a great game! Feels very ambitious for a game jam but you totally pulled it off. One of my favourites so far. Love the voice acting :)
Very nice and uniqu mechanichs I love it. Also Sounds are really professional and they increases the atmosphere of the game a lot. Nerf blowfish btw :/
Thank you! I agree, Zikk, our voice and SFX guy, did a great job once again on this game. I also agree that there are still places where more SFX could be added.
I am not completely sure that more voice lines would always make it better. I think the four custom upgrade SFX work really well, and for a game jam it might have been too much to also ask Zikk to create separate voice lines for upgrades. That said, I hear you. The voice lines are great, so there are definitely places where adding more of them could enhance certain actions and moments.
I am really glad you had fun playing!
Very nice implementation of this idea, it reminded me of an old Corsair game i played on my first PC. It was fun and intuitive of what everything did, my minor pet peeve was not having the trajectory line also be pixel art :)), oh and nice UI btw!
Great job! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the core mechanic!!! great work! :)
I loved the audio, the 2D sprites! It was a very good entry :) I had some problems with the WebGL player. The game would crash if I clicked on the fullscreen window button, and sometimes it just crashed without any apparent reason.
Really neat game, made me feel kinda like I was a creep in a tower defense trying to dodge and fight back to survive. Really great job on the theme too, its very cohesive!
I really enjoyed the pirate vibe an the music. Unfortunately, I could not defeat the kraken after I got all ship upgrades. I think my main feedback would be that the shooter enemies projectiles last way too long and can hit multiple times. I had one that killed me and then followed me to my spawn island and hit me again. I basically had to farm by going out a ways killing things and coming back to get the upgrades
The pixel art looked very consistent and nice, well done!
I really enjoy this game particularly because of the theme!
However, it was a little difficult to get aiming lined up relative to the speed of the ship and enemies at times. I would definitely love to play more of this though.
Great art on this. The style really pops, and combined with the voice acting and SFX, it gives the whole game a lot of personality. The voice acting, especially, was a nice surprise and added more weight than I expected.
Gameplay-wise, I liked that turning around is actually a mechanic with a cooldown instead of just an instant flip. That small decision adds tension and makes positioning matter more. Sailing between islands, upgrading, and preparing for the Kraken fight kept it engaging.
UI was solid, too. Everything felt readable and intentional. There’s some real polish here, especially for a jam game.
Solid art style and audio, the voice lines especially are great! I like how a simple idea, paired with the upgrade tree you have, can make a pretty interesting combination gameplay-wise. Only feedback I can give is that the game feels a bit too punishing at the start, but once some upgrades are unlocked, difficulty is fine. Great job with this one!
Love the voice lane !
Pirate theme is a really good choice for the jam. I didn't get how handle the puffer fish, did die to them every time
