The idea is good, the execution is solid. The visuals…, to much of CRT effects to my taste. Ut’s hard to read and to play for a long time because of that. I had some good time with the game before feeling the pain in my eyes, and at that point I had to stop.
The theme and the vibe you built through the music and effects are truly great. My only issue is that the text is small and the grain effect obscures it quite a bit, so I had a tough time reading the subtitles. But overall an interesting game, great job!
The game is cool, but it seems unfinished.
Rated!
oh i was very curious what area 51 folder contains, but only now i see it'll be added later. i think as a theme interpretation this idea is pretty great, it has tons of potential. maybe adjust the camera a bit to have a better understanding of where my little virus character is on the map, and with some added content it'll be a great small scope game
Really nice visuals and you captured the theme very well with both the story and vibes! We also made a retro desktop type game if you want to test out something with the same type of setting as your game :)
silly little virus,, such a cool idea and the visuals are good af!
I like the platforming on the mailbox level, the background being a redacted email fits really well in this game! The black light uncovering redacted pieces and removing platforms is also a cool mechanic.
Nice work!
A very enjoyable experience, with a lot to work off from! I really enjoyed the folder with circular gravity, and the idea of being a virus looking around to find passwords is really interesting!
Thank you for the feedback, and playing our game! We are keen to expand it and add some much needed polish lol!
It seems like a great game but I struggled. But it definitely fits the theme and would probably be fun if it got a bit more polish.
Thank you for the comment, we agree! We only had 2 days to work on this, so it definitely needs a ton of polish - watch this space :)
From all the abilities it looks like a really cool game but I couldn’t figure out where to go from the tutorial area???? Am I just blind???
Hey! there is a glowing purple circle in the bottom right of the tutorial level that you can interact with to leave - we probably should have made that clearer! thank you for playing
Wasn't able to find the password, but still had a really good time with this one! The visuals are spectacular and the setting and music are really good!
Thank you! Yep, it turned out a fair bit more difficult than we intended - a polish pass to come for sure
ayyyyyy, a follow crt enjoyer!
the setting & visuals were great, liked the sound as well.
it could do with a bit of help finding directions, as i wandered around for ages without knowing what to do really.
Yep, it was looking pretty rough until we got the crt shader sorted lol! Thanks for the feedback, we will keep working on it!
The atmosphere and concept are great. I really like the old school computer and horror ideas, but I think the platforming and especially the size of some of the emails get in the way of the story telling. A version with a bit more polish and emphasis on the aesthetic and story would go hard.
Agreed, we really focused on making sure it was challenging, and ended up overtuning it a bit - definitely some easy fixes to be done there.
Thank you for the feedback!
Well there's not much to say. The Idea is really good but the execution...hmm. The Game feels a bit unfinished. I opened like every folder on the dasktop and thy were empty. The Art and the CRT effect is very cool tho. I'd love to play the finished version if you plan on continueing
Thank you for the feedback, it was definitely very rushed at the end! We have a bunch of stuff we just ran out of time for, so will definitely keep working on it.
