This is a nice little dig game. I really enjoyed the game with a simple yet satisfying gameplay loop. Collecting resources feels super rewarding, with a surprisingly deep and feature-filled upgrade system! Not to mention the variety of enemies and environments as well. You must have spent quite a long time making and polishing the game, and that alone is a job well done! I played for around 15 minutes now and reached the bottom of the map at lvl 68, and I quite enjoyed it so far!

Other things I like:

  • Game looks really nice with visually pleasing pixel art
  • You've named the environment as well
  • Minecrafty block building
  • Sound choice is nice with calming music

Suggestions:

  • There should be some more balancing as it's super easy to spend the first 7-8 minutes farming and level up to max. It felt a bit sad to see the player rushing through the game once everything is unlocked. Maybe gem and ore should be worth much less in earlier levels and force the player downward instead?
  • There should be an ending to the game as well. Upgrading to max means you can't die (easily), and there should be a conclusion to the game even if you played well

Nice relaxing game with satisfying digging mechanic and great visuals :)

Why the hell does it take 3 minutes to load.  I can see a lot of effort was put into this, but really, this is unplayable. Doesn't help that every time you die, you need to wait another 3 minutes.

Wow, extremely well made game. It deserves some more recognition. I reached the "end" of the game (I just decide this bottom left corner is basically the end) after like 30 minutes playing it. :D

It would have been nice if there were some sorts of celebratory rewards for reach max level, or some sort of ending. After playing the game for a while, personally, I would also consider just combining the pickaxe and the sword attack into one action, to prevent requiring the player to constantly switch back and forth between modes.

On that note I think you should also add clearer instructions in your game or on your game page, because there weren't sufficient tutorials on how to play the game. For example, I didn't how to switch to sword and tile placement mode for a while, and I discovered it to be Number Key 1, 2 and 3. Changing the game page during jam rating period is allowed so I would strongly suggest you do it.

Overall a very enjoyable game, well done!

Incredibly well made. Terraria but with random upgrades is a lot of fun. I went for mining upgrades initially and it was very satisfying to get tons of ore and xp, though the combat was good as well. Small issue I had is that if you're clicking on something when the upgrade screen pops up you end up instantly picking an upgrade.

OMG this is the best game of the jam for sure everything is amazing

I can't believe this game is made in a week. exploring different biomes are really fun and switching between mining and figthing creates a dynamic gameplay which I loved.

This was so fun to play and so polished! One of my favourite games I've played so far. The mole is super cute and the environments are gorgeous!
Made it down to Crucible Core at lvl 21. I thought the weapon being both a sword and a gun with upgrades was really interesting and convenient, despite the hoard of enemies I found it easy to defend myself as long as I stayed inside the cave walls
As someone else pointed out, I think the environment design could've been more "strange" to fit the theme better, but other than that incredible job!

I love the visual style and animations, and I think the game feels very well polished overall. I’m curious what is causing the longer load time? I really enjoyed playing it.

This game is really fun! I also adore the visuals. It's just a shame that world takes so long to load.

I have to say, this is one of these few games in a jam I see real potential in as a full game. There is already so much content it's almost hard to believe 1 person made this in only a week. Very impressive.

The game loop is already pretty good. The mining is fun and the decision between mining and attacking make for interesting gameplay. The only problems I see are enemies that can't reach the player because they get stuck. But even if they did, the game is still too easy. I maxed out everything in 10 minutes and then there was nothing left to do. The enemies were never really a challenge.

That being said I see a lot of potential here. It would be interesting to see a full game here. Well done!

The theme is a bit weak though imo. The different worlds don't feel very strange at all.
