Mine wasn’t Star Trek, but “The Final Frontier” was a working title I had in my head for my own artwork most of the time I was working on it, lol!
Been staring at this one looping over and over again, I am very interested to know how you did this! I assume you have a program you can 3D animate in, and then export a low resolution version of? I’m perplexed by the lack of anti-aliasing, and the fact that I can see dithering in the shaded areas. Did you have to clean this up frame by frame? It looks very clean and polished! Super cool, I haven’t seen pixel art like this before
Nice! I really love that we had similar ideas!
So this is made using Blender and a 3D software called PicoCAD2. I am part of alpha testing the PicoCAD2 software before release, and I just learned that the software will be released on the 16th of this month on Steam.
It is a 3D modeller, 3D texturer, and 3D animator, all with a lowpoly and pixel focus. So, the dithering is native to the software's shading, and then the program exports it as a GIF.
Really glad you liked it, thank you for your kind words!
I love it. The animation is amazing
Awesome work with the 'stretching' visual effect! This is so cool!
:O just awesome
Daamn the animation looks so smooth and amazing, I really need to try that program one of these days
It's really pretty! If you have a social, you should upload this animation on there as well! I'm sure it would be appreciated! ^-^
