oh wait, were you "amt"?? if so then you and "TEZ" felt very familiar a few levels in, almost always up there in the leaderboards, I guess that's what I'd expect from the dev xD take your time with the levels, there's already a lot of variety in the existing ones and I'd love to see what else you can make! I could really dig this as a full release

I just spent my entire morning getting #1 in all the levels :D well, all except for level 5 which felt like luck and I didn't wanna bother with that beyond getting #4 and level 6 which just required you to hold a single button and no matter what I did I couldn't get more than #3, those two are the only levels I didn't like since they don't give the same freedom to mess up or perfect your movement as the other levels
can't wait for more levels, and congrats on #1 in enjoyment, you've earned it!
ohhhhh yeh, yeh, that was cause I put a minimum velocity requirement for the spinning enemies before they can deal damage and for the rope before it pushes enemies back so that you have to think about whether you have enough space to do it or if not then dash away OR you can get the angular bobentum upgrade which makes them gain the required speed almost instantly, I thought you were referring more to how it looked
thanks for the feedback! I absolutely agree that it starts very slowly, I was trying to balance it cause it got hard way too fast and I went too far without noticing, and the audio is very lacking, what little sounds I did manage to include were very last minute haha
I'll mess around with the player knockback to see if I can improve it (or if not remove it entirely) but what did you mean about the spin knocking back enemies? you meant the ones inside the rope? if so then yeh, that did feel rough and jerky, I might remove that too but it would make it way harder to swing enemies, so I'll find some other solution probably
again, thank you so much for the honest feedback, I really appreciate it! and I'm glad you enjoyed it :D
OMG YEEEEES!! thank you so much for sticking through it enough to get there!! I really wanted each enemy to have a different use and for them to have different interactions, and I intended to make the stun state for both the bigger bobs to have a different graphic animation to let you know they're stunned, but I ran out of time for that so I don't think many people realized you can stun them lol you actually made my day, thank you so much xD I hope to redo this later with even more interactions like that and ofc actual polish and balance so it's playable haha
definitely one of the more unique submissions! I loved the setting being around Sisy and other Greek mythology characters, I managed to meet quite a few in my first run but the two that stood out to me were Orpheus and Eurydice due to them having an interaction based on which order you meet them in which I loved, that alone is enough to justify a replay to see the possible different interactions between all the characters. and the voice acting was honestly amazing, I could listen to it all day, which really helped cause I couldn't even bother reading the first screen explanation lol though I did figure out how the combat worked pretty easily, it was all pretty clear so that's a plus. and though the combat is pretty unique I do feel like it would've been better to have some more control rather than most of it being down to RNG, and a way to heal would be nice. Oh, and the combat music is short but honestly a banger, I never got tired of it lol
great job overall, I can see the effort put in and I really wanna see where ya'll can take this after the jam, good luck :)
best I could get was 10600, "A Very Serious Cake Job 2" when??
this was genuinely one of the most most fun submissions I went through, and the music slaps! I love the energy of it all, though for some reason my biggest nemesis is the straight line 😭 I could get 5 perfects in a row and then the straight line get a good lol
hmmm I think we need an explanation from flora

honestly? I'm not used to not having a clear objective so it took me a second but I found the fun in just making the most absurd headlines from the 234 cutouts I was hoarding all over the screen lol the art's amazing all around, the music's a banger, and the sound effects are pretty satisfying, a very solid game all around!
I'm not a puzzles guy so I got confused at times, but this was genuinely very fun! I loved the simple visuals, the audio was punchy and satisfying, and I loved that little music track that plays from time to time. and at first I was a little surprised you can peek to the sides, but then you gave the whole 3d view and that blew me away lol
overall very polished and fun game, I got to the secret levels but had to stop there cause my brain was fried haha amazing job
ohhh I'm so mixed on this one. on one hand the art is genuinely amazing (though it can be mismatched in places) and the music is some of the best I heard all jam! and the sound effects were also well done :) although the vignette effect did make it hard to see at times. gameplay wise on the other hand, it was simply lacking. the first two mini games were both mazes where you just had to walk (first maze took me so long on my first playthrough, though I didn't mind it much cause the music was keeping me entertained lol) and the last one was a simple top down shooter. I think these would've been fine as part of a bigger pool of mini games, but it was the same ones in the same order when I replayed it to see other ones, I would've loved to see more variety. I also tried to fail the quiz in the end on purpose, but after failing it just showed my character standing on stage for a second before it put me back into the quiz where I couldn't fail this time even if my health was 0, and I'm not sure if that was a bug or intentional haha
overall the experience was nice and I'm glad I played it, but I do think it had the potential to be more, you know? a lot of talented people worked hard on this, that's very clear to see, and I hope to see more from ya'll
it looks amazing from the screenshots but unfortunately I can't get it to run :( whenever I launch it the window just pops up for half a second before shutting down (I'm on windows btw)
Edit: I found the new exe, nvm! so, the visuals are without a doubt your strongest point, the planets all look gorgeous! and the gameplay was simple and fun, though it does get repetitive quickly. and I'm sure you know this, but some sound effects would've gone a long way xD and again, I have to stress how awesome the planets look, you should definitely reuse whatever you did to make them for other stuff
I am all alone at the very top
why, o brother, have you chosen not to strike?
you've truly outdone yourself, this was genuinely engaging even starting from the main menu interactions, and at first I was wondering why honse of all things was taking so long to load, but then the cutscenes started and it all made sense...I think I was happier when my family was disappointed, cause at least back then they were alive to do it. what a heartbreaking yet fitting send off to honse, the mightiest to ever walk on 4 legs
omg, where do I even start with this beast
ok, so first of all the idea itself. making it work based on tiny puzzles/minigames is genius, cause no matter how simple the minigame themselves are, there can be endless complexity based on what other minigames are on screen at the time, and having some of those be a balancing act or something similar is great for not overwhelming the player while still being challenging. the puzzles themselves are fun, but putting them all together in different ways is just, wow
I have to mention how phenomenal the art is, it's so full of charm and just plain looks good, and the animations on everything really push that charm even more, and the sounds and other effects on each interaction feels reaaaaally good. and the music, omg I'm such a fan of the music. I love how it's all the same track from start to finish with different layers based on whether you're in a cutscene or playing or on the game over screen etc. and I don't know if it was just me, but by the end I felt like it picked up with more instruments and I got goosebumps! and the sequence near the end where the water speeds up significantly and you only have to do one puzzle felt like such an amazing sendoff, like a showcase of each puzzle, really glad you included that
overall the game's just amazing, it didn't overstay its welcome, and it's without a doubt one of the highlights in this jam. 5 stars across the board from me, good luck :)
nahhh hold on, hold on, why does this actually feel so good to play!? first of all, I LOVE the setting and the designs of the enemies (and juniper ofc, amazing walk) and the sound effects and other particles are really well done, but omg the music, the music is glorious, it has no right being that good!! and amplifying it whenever you level up is actually so hype
now, I did have some issues. the biggest one being that you can't pass under the table, chair or blue board thingy which was very odd since you could pass through a lot of other stuff that you wouldn't normally be able to get to, like the shelves on the bookshelf. this cause me to die plenty of times, lol. there's also the frog enemy which honestly just feels unavoidable with how fast it moves and tracks you. I also wish there were some other controls given to the player besides moving and jumping
all of those are very fixable though, and the game's genuinely pretty fun, extra points for letting me stand next to jube
team ASS for the win, LFG!!
I was honestly really surprised at how coherent this all was considering the team size and small time frame to manage it all, ya'll ABSOLUTELY pulled through and killed it, if this doesn't win then something is very wrong lol
I loved all the different tasks, even the "boring" ones, and I'm glad those were kept as something optional to give you the choice of what to do to appease corporate, and a lot of them also fit with the theme so that's a huge plus. the pictures on the desktop were great picks and I had a laugh looking at those, the music was amazing, and the voice acting was pretty darn good and really fit. OH AND THE OPENING CUTSCENE!! that was absolutely amazing and I loved the style, I also liked the fact that Roy was balding even as a baby lmaoo
but by far, the thing I liked the most was the gorgeous art, it's actually wild how many styles you manged to fit in while still keeping it very on theme, and there were so many details too, I think I spent 2 minutes on the prologue desktop image sorting game just admiring the tiny details from the animations of the paper and folder to the sound of moving the image being linked to how fast you were moving it, who knows how many similar details ya'll managed to fit in
the only thing that confused me was the lack of feedback when hitting enemies in the final battle, the movement is pretty fast so I didn't notice their health going down so I didn't know I was actually doing any damage to them. oh, and the task where you spin the bottle also felt a little long compared to the other ones, I had to bail twice before I got it cause the boss was getting angry, though that's probably just a skill issue lol I did figure out how to make it spin where I want it to but I guess that would defeat the purpose of spin the bottle haha
I also managed to snap a selfie with the serious cat

what can I say, it's blackjack!! you mentioned having a lot of plans for this so I'm curious what you can come up with, in my opinion giving the player more control over how the game goes would go a long way if you're trying to make something like balatro, even if it's no longer actual blackjack, just so long as it's fun
also, the music was nice!
the bob that hurled!! now you're a hurling bob too, welcome to the club ;) the game's definitely not ready for a long play session the way it is, the health thing is a big oversight and it doesn't help that you can get damaged by the bobs you throw, so there's almost no way to consistently avoid damage, but don't you worry!! all will be fixed in "Hurlin' Bob: The Rebobbening"!! more juice, more hurls, and more bobs!! (not actually a thing, but we'll see lol)
thank you, thank you!! I definitely did a poor job with optimizing the difficulty, I spent so much time working on the grappling mechanic and the upgrades so I didn't have much time left to actually playtest and balance the game lol health definitely needs some attention but so do the enemy spawn rates among other stuff. and I'm with you on the big enemies lacking sound, I was so pissed when I noticed that AHHHHH
