How did you incorporate the given theme in your game?
The Small Things we took literally as in MICROSCOPIC! But also you are curing patients of their ailments and I would say that ounce of joy you get helping someone counts as the little things~

This game is really fun and looks great. Shifting whole rows is a lot more interesting than the games where you only swap one object and the combo meter is really cool. I think the biggest issue right now is gameplay polish and balancing. Here are some issues I encountered:

-sometimes germs don't fall and stay in the air until you move them again

-sometimes germs can overlap in a cell (I understand this might be hard to find a satisfying solution for)

-clicking next level on the fifth level softlocks the game on a black screen

-I think the timings between waves is kind of messed up so that you sometimes have long stretches of nothing happening and then two waves appear at the same time (happened to me a lot in level five), the long pauses are especially annoying since you will lose your combo and building that back up can be really hard

-I think related to that I got stuck in endless at 999702 remaining with nothing falling down anymore

-while the combo is really cool it's also super punishing when you lose it, I think it can stay like that, but if you want to make it a little less punishing you could make it so that instead of losing the whole combo it goes down gradually like it is building up so after combo level two runs out you have a new timer of combo level one until it goes back down to zero

-maybe there should be a general beck button so you can exit level select without having to enter a level

Again, really fun game, I love the idea and the execution is already pretty good.

thank you for the in depth breakdown, actually really helpful! The good news is we are aware of most of these! I 100% agree phase 2 will be all about bug fixing and polishing! We are currently brainstorming ideas on how to fix the overlapping and the gravity issues, hopefully that alone should help with balancing as well! Again thank you for playing and your feedback :)

Hello!

I don’t seem to understand very well the game, because even if I have a row with 4 elements it didn’t trigger the combo. I guess it’s because sometimes the elements overlaps and maybe what I see is not the real state of the game.

The idea is nice and I think if you can polish a little more the gameplay it will quite nice.

Using both hands to select and move was also quite a work for my brain but it was nice haha.

Hi! Thank you for playing, we will be working on a more fleshed out tutorial that will, hopefully, better explain how the game is played! we also have plans to attempt a fix on the overlap bug too!

Hopefully this will all be fleshed out for the next phase!

i wish there was an option to resize the window, can't play it properly on my current one :(
but from the screenshots and what i can see looks cute and pretty polished!

Developer

Thank you for trying to play it! This is a known bug that we will be working to fix for phase 2! So please come back and try it then :)

Those are the cutest germs ever and I love the nurse with the big needle! One idea for part 2 is I think the combo timer could be a bit more obvious. Maybe have audio or additional visual queues for when its active ~

Developer

They’re cute but deceptive :p That is a good idea I think maybe changing the color of the scrolling background could help but we will defs look into it!! Thank you :)

Love the music and art! very cute :)) had a bit of a hard time understanding what to goal was and how to match the characters correctly so maybe a fleshed out tutorial could be helpful. Overall great job

Developer(+1)

I’m glad you liked the art i wanted to make the germz super cute :p Thank you for letting us know, we will make sure a more detailed tutorial will get added, for the time being i have added a “How to Play” section to the game page that should hopefully explain the gameplay in better detail!

Art is lovely, music is such a vibe, and I really wanna play this game, but I have the same issue as some commenters with the screen size not allowing me to really get into it! Would love to give this another go if you manage to fix it in a later build <3

Developer(+1)

Thank you for giving it a try even knowing the sizing issues! Hopefully everything will be fixed for phase 2 so you can get some crazy highscores :p

This is a really fun take on both 'the small things' and just minigames in general. I love your logo!

Developer

Thank you we wanted to try and keep it a little unique haha! Glad you liked it :)

The music and art were a total vibe, loved it. And the puzzle element itself also is easy to grasp and fun. I unfortunately  also had the same problem as the comment below though and can confirm it still cut off the top and bottom even after pressing F for fullscreen. So I look forward to playing it again and putting more time into it after thats been worked out and whatever else you both add in the next part of the jam!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for letting me know! We forgot to implement screen resizing for other monitors we should have that ironed out for phase 2! Glad you enjoyed the art and music though i worked on hard it! :)

wooglord and nerostratos? what are you guys doing here? this game is siiiick, i love the art, so cute, and the game itself is very well done and fun, as proof, i will tell you my issue, this game does not fit well at all on my laptop screen, the top and bottom half of the game are not visible to me and so the game is kinda unplayable but i played on the little preview when you hover over the app icon, and i still had fun, if only i could play on the big screen. i did find it difficult to learn how to be effective at this game, but thats just how i am with these games like tetris, puyo puyo, dr mario, ...etc. i just need to grind a bit to really get into it, however im not grinding on this little ass preview lol, so i will be waiting for phase 2 where hopefully i can play like normal. awesome job, guys!!

Developer(+1)

AYO PIJINGUY?!Whats good! Thank you for your feedback, really! The screen size is a genuine oversight so i am so glad you brought it to our attention, we will 100% make sure that this is fixed for phase 2! i am so sorry and you had to play on such a tiny preview screen >.> just to verify was this screen cutting happening after you pressed f for fullscreen? this will help with debugging. But i’m happy that there were at least some aspects for you to enjoy :)

it's cut off whether i'm in full screen or not, both have the issue unfortunately
