Really cool game, I liked the art, audio and the unique story.

It was quite long, huge maps, perhaps even too big.

It felt quite jump spam heavy with the pull up jump.

The camera movement was sometimes quite nice, but other times very annoying.

Especially in the first level the foreground vegetation sometimes felt like it was getting in the way.

The first boss fight was quite interesting.

I stopped at the door to the second boss after finding out I need more keys.

Stellar work, this was just so much fun! The writing was a lot of fun, my favorite being the spies and when you get the ranged upgrade. As someone who attacks every wall looking for secrets, I appreciated the trickiness. The end boss was a lot of fun, that was such a good … twist!

If the map was supposed to move, it got bugged for me and stayed completely still.

which i guess not much of a problem on the long run considering the whole game is a straight line forward, but a bug is a bug, so i should mention it.

Like, at the end, i thought the big rock wall was something i had to destroy, but nothing i did worked, and i tried going back, thinking that there was some backtrack that i missed, and there was… to be blocked by the same rock wall thing that didn’t let me advance in the first place, so i like… dunno, i don’t see how to go forward.

This game has a lot of content for a jam entry! It is also my favorite interpretation of the Unreal theme so far!

I think its biggest flaw is that areas are just too big with no way to fast travel between important places. I made it to the pinata boss. It was amazing and I was rewarded with the robo key piece, but then I realized I didn't get the other piece. I took a look at the map and decided my playthrough would end there. The map is just too big for the amount of content it has

The npcs, individual enemies and the one boss I saw were amazing. If the map was like a quarter of its current size, I think there would be a much bigger chance of player seeing everything this game has to offer

Some of the platforms requiring horizontal wall slide is pretty cool mechanic! Would love to see it expand or polish further. I've gotten 2 robotic key pieces, but the door didn't seem to open, not sure if I missed something. Really felt the unreal theme in this one. Great work!

Half-expected this game to be little more than a one-off joke based on the premise, but it turned out to be one of my favorite games that I've reviewed so far! Incredible interpretation of the genre and theme, great writing and characters, tons of content for a gamejam game, and the final boss and ending left me with tons of positive feelings. (The first boss was really cool and had some impressive attack patterns as well!)

The player movement was very nice and snappy, and certainly helped a lot when exploring the huge world. It was fun running around and punching things, though the punching animation looked like it didn't fully align with the actual damage, and the ranged attack felt so weak that it was almost never worth the energy cost compared to the punch, even with upgrades.

The art style for the characters and environments was gorgeous, but the world was held back by its many big empty spaces and repetition, and it definitely felt like some of the areas could have been smaller. Also, at times, I managed to slip through gaps in the geometry that felt like they shouldn't have been intentional.

The camera movement sometimes felt like it worked against the player, occasionally lagging behind or failing to show the opening leading into the next room, and on a couple occasions glitching and shaking around violently. On the other hand, the map and minimap definitely helped a lot with navigating the world, and were a much appreciated addition especially considering the time constraints of the gamejam.

Overall, a gem of a game that definitely has some rough edges, but the story and writing more than make up for it!

That is a very cool game in an unreal world, bravo :)

The art style is kinda strange, with pixelated characters living in a high-detail environment. I guess, having sprites of different densities scaled differently compared to each other contributed to the visual inconsistency.

Visual and light effects are great, though. The effect of the ultimate strike is very cool!

Levels are huge and mostly empty. I tried to find hidden items or something like that, and it was interesting to get upgrades in the Mushroom village. Seeing the huuuuge map of the third level, I decided to speedrun it to see what these colorful markers are going to do, but it got boring after ~5 minutes, and I was only halfway to the first marker.

So, my general thought: it would be really cool to have smaller, but more eventful levels ¦3

Hope to see more games from you!
