How does your game fit the theme?
Vessel fits the theme because it's about a servant being forced to go outside of his box (his comfort zone) and fight. The wording is also directly referenced in the dialogue from the enemies.

Very cool game, and I love the art and character designs a ton. I wish the combat was more clear, like a visual indicator showing how much damage was delt or if no damage was delt. Also a minor thing, but having to click on the character you already selected to deselect them and then select another character felt a bit unintuitive, as I just wanted to click the new character I wanted to select. Overall wonderful game, good job :D

I had a lot of fun playing this! I'm a little biased towards turn based games which might be why I enjoyed this one as much as I did. Anyhow the vibe was great and the art and sound design were nicely done too! All in all, this felt really well made considering the time constraints of the jam. Great job!

Very cool game. Every turn based game I play, I basically try to end the enemy before they end me. I am not much for tactics. lol. But to force a support character is a nice change of pace. And the dialog tutorial is a really nice touch.

Great job

I really like the unique ability of having Lyx die in order to damage enemies (even though it broke my heart because they are a cutiepie and just trying to help)

It made me need to think more and strategize with this servant king dynamic which I appreciated. The art style was beautiful and the video pitch was really good and made me think a little deeper about the servant dynamic and what it means for the characters.

Also when I saw the glorp reference I literally screamed in joy and pointed at my computer because I made my entire game about glorp because I love him so much lol

Yes, I'm glad someone caught the little alien guy! Goopy and Goober were in a similar base of reference and my second favourite enemies. :)

I really liked it there was one level that i had to skip because I could not figure out how to harm them but that's probably because I missed something.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, probably the second one where you had to let Lyx die in order to deal damage, I'll make it clear in the post-jam update! ^-^

maybe make there eye hiliight blue to repersint there host being lyx becuse at first i thought there host was echother.

The vibes are insane. The whole thing feels polished and well crafted.

Great work :D

Hey, I tried your game and the art style and world really stood out to me, it feels super polished for a jam

I liked the whole king and servant dynamic, it gives the battles more meaning. It did take me a bit to fully understand what was going on at times, but once it started to click it felt more rewarding

Nice work overall, it’s a really cool concept

I’m also in the jam, so if you get a chance to check my game I’d love to hear your thoughts

i don't know why but i don't like it

Not to be impolite, but did you rate the game poorly just because of that? I understand if you gave it a low enjoyment rating; that's completely fair, but from the sounds of it, it just wasn't to your taste, and you might have lowered the rating of everything else as well.

i don't think so, but i did rate art work low, but i don't like the art style that much... i think. You might be right but idk

Developer

No worries! Personally for the artwork category I base my ratings on the consistency throughout the game and whether or not it fits well.

I really liked it! The art, the animation, the cutscenes. I really enjoyed it for how short it was.

This is so cool! I can definitely see this in the final collection!

Genuinely SO HYPE

Incredible artstyle and world building!!! as others mentioned, sometimes I did not know what was going on, maybe I'm dumb haha XD

The art is great, but the gameplay was very frustrating for me. Half of the time i didint know whats going on and i was unable to beat the second level despite seemingly trying everything... (luckly i could just skip it). The Music cuts when battle gets long. The video pitch was so good that i finished the game despite all of that because i wanted to see the end

Did you check the enemy moves and traits? You have to let Lyx die before the enemies can be hurt. But thank you for sticking with it!

The Game was AWESOME, the art style or the gameplay everything was nailed in, The Story was also pretty great and so was the Pitch short,  I would really like to see it as a Steam Game
