So… I am a non-native English speaker, so while I can understand written text perfectly, I may have some issues understanding other people’s voices or pronouncing words in an English accent (I guess). So having Mango as my companion with him literally SCREECHING WHILE TALKING was the FUNNIEST THING EVER. I SWEAR!! xD
Was usually a bit lost and asking Mango for guidance sometimes didn’t help.. I had to rely sometimes on the Python console to tell me what keywords the program was searching for me to say, or if I had already said them but the program wasn’t able to recognise it.
I tried to avoid it as much as possible tho!!! This game idea is super original and Mango’s voice was extra funny for me. I now know that if I were blind, it would be over for me LOL. It felt so difficult to navigate! But that’s the thing about being blind :)

Tried to play this game but it wouldn't listen to my mic so I couldn't progress. Very cool concept though, just wish I had a better set up
Dang it, it sucks that it didn't work, did you try any of the tips I outlined that could help in my previous comment?
I did, I think it just couldn't detect my microphone, cause its part of a headset, so that might have caused some issues

Okay I am giving a hint for people who are possibly stuck on the first thing, but this is the only hint you guys get!
Say "Help." on the first scene. After that you should be able to figure out the rest by asking Mango.
ALSO, if you are having SOUND ISSUES, try disabling / removing microphones you do NOT use, so that the game picks the correct one. I should've added a menu to pick them, but it slipped my mind...
MORE SOUND ISSUES - Discord can eat microphone input, so try to play this outside of a call if it doesn't work!
This game is pretty creative, it's very interesting to try to traverse with only audio. Unfortunately for me the game did not like me and it was difficult to get it to listen to what I was saying, so I wasn't able to get the best experience possible. The game itself is made really good from what I've seen, but I don't think its for me as of now.
Yeah, if I was less busy during the month maybe I could've managed to dial in the STT model or something. But, for now I blame Whisper for not being perfect.

geniunely one of the most creative ideas this entire jam- lovely story, and the 4d audio made it incredibly immersive! great job, its clear what your vision was, and it was executed perfectly!

This is a very unique concept! I think I've ever seen one other game like it. I had trouble in the beginning with the game being able to hear and recognize my voice but after that it got better. Very cool game!

This was super, super unique. I loved Mango and I felt really connected to the story while playing! I always love to see some representation for disabled people in games, especially getting to empathize more closely with them, which I believe is one of the biggest unique strengths in gaming. Great work!
I really appreciate the feedback and completely agree that disabled people get overlooked in many industries.
I think this is a really cool concept along with representation not found enough in videogames, I also liked the idea of not using an engine for this and relying on python and the pygame(?) library for this as it makes the game feel more unique and focused on the mechanic of using a microphone. The addition of Mango was great to guide the player, and I especially liked the audio work where the left and right channels were used to showcase direction.

A really immersive audio-only experience, feels like having a live DM in your ear. Using your voice as the main input is quite unique, makes the story and Mango’s guidance stick with you long after the jam session ends.

Really fascinating gameplay, love the choose your own adventure elements and using your voice to control, it really immerses you in the experience! The simplicity of the game really complements the complexity of the story to make for a one of a kind and memorable play through! Keep up the amazing work!!!

Absolutely one of the most unique games I've played, kind of like a text-based adventure but with your voice! It's a shame there isn't more to look at or more ways that the player is prompted to interact with things other than using the provided console, but considering that's the entire point of the game that feels like it's just an inherent part of the experience. Very cool little experience!

I just couldn't find voice actors, and the one I did find bailed ,so the last day I had to do Mango and the old lady ( Ida ) myself...
My computer thinks its a unsafe file. I cannot play it. But I will still give it a good rating since I trust its a good game!

Also, you should be able to hit the more info button, and then click run anyway, if you really wanted to try the game.
There is a known, pretty much unfixable through code issue where the game gets no mic input. I would recommend messing with your sound settings. If you say Mango a bunch at the start and nothing happens I really can't help you...
this is really special, i was skeptical of the game being audio only, but it's insanely immersive andi had no troubles with the voice commands. mango is awesome
