"Trust me bro, I've been working here for 20 years". Famous last words.
Super Slime Ball, let's GO! This is so much fun! It's the kind of game people would speedrun to prove their worthiness, and I'm into it. Break all the Nickelodeon Gak™!

YAY I beat the first stage! ... Oh wait, that was the tutorial... >_> Yeah, the 2nd level was driving me nuts with all the spikes, I kept hitting the same one no matter how carefully I tried to work around it.
I liked the intro. It reminded me so much of flash videos from 20 years ago, I couldn't help get get a chuckle out of it.
Bugs:
- Clicking on 'retry' multiple times while the game is starting over causes the screen to stop it's animation from the dead screen to the new screen, resulting in the game jumping over to the new game.
This is sooooo good. <3 The intro reminded me of my childhood - games like Maniac Mansion or Zak McKracken and it's so funny how those scientists overestimate their abilities to contain our little slime and how it can not escape from the bubble they put it in, but how it can control gravity (and does it - haha, that screen, how it flies out of the screen and how it's just the start and then it completely escalates xD). Also a cool detail: The drops of the music are synced with the scenes in the intro, making it such a nice experience to watch!
Once it starts, it's a looooooot of fun. Very satisfying to destroy the containers (nice particles!) and also the computers (as soon as you hit them they show a test screen - that level of detail <3 - magnificent!) and to guide the little lovely slime to the exit, just using gravity and turning the world around it. The levels are also designed in a way that the difficulty increases so that it stays challenging to the end.
Only sad part is that I couldn't see the lovely little slime escape into freedom (because the game is not finished), but that's expected when making a game in 7 days. I'm happy that the developer focused on making the experience nice and providing lovely little details, not on having a complete game.
the intro cutscene kinda vibes like a Homestuck animation
The gameplay premise is simple but solid, and some of the hurdles were surprisingly tricky
The effects on breaking stuff was a nice touch, smashing computer screens into glass shards may not have helped with beating the levels but it was oddly satisfying regardless
The music loop is good but it does get a bit repetitive, though I feel this is pretty reasonable considering the timeframe of this jam. Overall everything feels really polished for something made in a week.
The use of the theme here does feel a bit cheeky in that 'slime' could probably be replaced with some other noun without impacting the game overly much, but it works I suppose :P
nice game! haven't played very many submissions yet but I'm definitely a fan of this one
This was super fun. The opening cutscene was great and so was your level design. I thought the audio was good, too, but overall the audio levels felt a little too loud for me. The spike obstacles were readable and easy to spot, but the collision areas felt large and led to some scenarios where I thought I was gonna have a close call aaaand... oops, I lost! Thanks for making and sharing—this is another one of my early favorites from the jam so far!
Wow that was awesome! I enjoyed that a lot more than expected because I was anticipating getting motion sickess from the camera movement, but your design was actually genius to mitigate that almost entirely for me with universal gravity that always points straight down.
It felt really great to control and had the gravity tuned really well! I even had a few perfect runs on the first try. The spike obstacles with bright red bloom made them instantly pop on screen even when the camera was panning quickly - great readability and the overlay shaders added a lot without distracting
Great intro cutscene too! I had a great time playing
super fun to be honest, wish you could see a little bit more of the level on your screen, and that there were more levels but good gameplay and satisfying visuals. music is great.
The gameplay is really fun and challengin, maybe you could benefice more of the player begin an slime but the theme was only to include and slime so yeah, that works
