This was a pretty neat one! I love the atmosphere and art. I like the portal-like mechanics. my team's game is also puzzle based so I saw some similar mechanics haha.

Good job! I'd love to hear your opinion on ours :D

Wow, there's a lot of game here!  I know you said you used asset packs on the game page, but you did a good job of combining them all into a really coherent look and sound that's strong aesthetically, and that takes skill.  Really nice feedback on the jumping.  The puzzles were satisfying to complete, a nice different take on the portal dynamic where you have to find something that will kill you.  Really hits the theme well.  The only minor nitpick I ran into is sometimes I'd run into a collider or otherwise somehow get stuck on the floor and have to jump to get past it, but it doesn't actually stop me from finishing the game or anything, so it wasn't a big deal. In any case, great work!

The atmosphere is brilliant.  The concept is pretty cool as well. and intereting puzzles. Love it!

The art is so good! I liked the idea but I was not able to understand where the orbs are or how the doors are spawning or are they just there static.

Please give a try to my game as well, thanks!

I will try your game as soon as I can! Thank you, you made me realize a point of possible confusion for the player. The first level is sort of like a tutorial. I added the following in my game description: "You will not find the first orb until the end of the second level."

The atmosphere and art style really stand out, it looks super polished for a jam game. The whole “death” theme with that visual direction hits nicely. Mind giving my game a quick try too?

Really beautiful artstyle and a unique take on the theme, the character movements feel a little stiff but otherwise a very solid game.

Got soft locked after the first gate you open.

Developer (1 edit)

What do you mean? After you go through the gate, you are supposed to jump into the vines to die.
When you die, you don't really die, it transports you to the nearest door. So after you go through the gate, jump in the vines, it will take you to a new door to continue the level.

I got past that part, but I could not get past the gap right after. I could jump until I got close enough to the edge that I felt like I could make the jump.

Developer(+1)

You aren't supposed to jump over there. After the part you said you did where you went to the new door, then you walk to the left, jump up and go through the second gate. Then walk to the right, jump in the new patch of vines, and it will take you to the exit door.

I had trubble with moving around. It seems like there is a collider blocking one of the first jumps...

Developer

Oh I see what's happening! You are are too close to the overhanging ledge when jumping, and have to back up a little bit.
