The art was lovely! The map is pretty big and there isn't space that isn't filled with some sort of plants which is nice even if I kept getting stuck on things (Skill issue on my part). I'm not sure if the score board was supposed to move as I took pictures and I would get stuck on the pictures sometimes. But overall the game is fantastic!

Very charming game. Not every day you get to take a picture of the elusive kelpie lol. I really liked the fox sprite too, especially the little celebration after taking a picture. Having the animals randomize their locations on the next loop is a cool idea, and I also liked that the score is based on how quickly you can find everyone, since it gives the game a bit of replayability. The music track was a nice cozy choice too. Would love to see this expanded further with more animal interactions, photo album stuff, or some of the sneaking/camouflauge ideas you mentioned in the comments. Adorable game!
Cute game! I liked the art and the concept of taking photos and stuff. There's a lot of visual noise and it's difficult to tell what you can walk into and what you can't. Also, look into "y-sorting" so the ground items go in-front/behind the player in a more visually pleasing way. Not sure if it was intentional but the UI moved with the camera/player movement. If it wasn't intentional, you can easily fix that by moving the UI under a canvas layer node.
The game is simple. Besides pressing space to take a photo there's not much else to do. I'm excited to see how the game evolves :^)
This is such a cute game and concept! I loved the little details like the fox jumping up and celebrating when they took a picture of their friend. I would've loved some interactions between the photo subjects and the player character, especially since they are friends. It was a bit hard to determine what I could pass through and what I couldn't, plus a few things like others have said about the scoring. But otherwise, I really enjoyed it. Great job! :)
The art is really good, but there's way too much on screen at once, and it's actually really hard to tell at a glance what is a barrier and what isn't, I kept walking into things.
The art is really cute in this! I loved the different animal photos, especially the kelpie is very unique. I walked around for quite a while though and I couldn't find the frog or the boar at all lol. I think a bit more audio would go a long way, and also slightly less plants? The plant sprites are nice in themselves but the environment feels cluttered and overwhelming in places. Thanks for sharing your game!
I’m happy you liked our game ✨ The kelpie was a suggestion from our fifth teammate who unfortunately had to cancel at the last minute, but we really wanted to add what they suggested ^^ I agree with the plants, we’ll definitely adjust the thresholds later! We had a lot of issues with the plant generation, this was supposed to be a forest and we ended up having less trees and more flowers 😆
I like the concept of this game a lot! The art and the vibe is super sweet! Sad that there is no music yet, because this would add a lot to it. The score was a bit confusing - It said 0 most of the time, and after I found all animal friends it said 344. I was a bit confused. :D Otherwise it's fun to play!
I love 2D Pixel art games and love the taking photos mechanic! Maybe it would be cool to see how close you can get to them and if you get to close the scurry away! Such a cute game!
I’m glad you have fun! This is actually one of the mechanics we’d like to add to the final game, along with camouflage and hiding mechanics :3 We’re thinking of making the game 3d though, so we can play around with camera movements to make a more immersive experience. But don’t worry, it will still be cute and soft!
this was really cute! i like the art a lot, and the game play was fun and engaging! I'm excited to see that you are planning on continuing with this game, I cant wait to see what you create!
