Our team is in dire need of an Environment Artist to help us with some backgrounds for the Cute Girls Doing Cool Things game jam!

We need 3 background assets (and 1 nice-to-have if timing permits).

More about the environment backgrounds we need:

• Outside view of tall and glitzy sci-fi luxury apartment tower
  
• View of the Bay Bridge in a sci-fi future (San Francisco's Bay Bridge for reference)
• Living room of 3 girl’s warehouse apartment, made from an abandoned train car that has vines, plant life, and tech attached to it
• (Nice-to-have) A secret underground lab

More about the game: Set in a sci-fi version of San Francisco and Oakland where people have augmented themselves with AGENTS technology, a disgruntled delivery girl comes across an alien-like creature that happens to be AGENTS’ top secret experiment. You learn more about the creature and can decide to hand him back over to the tech overlords or defy them… I’ve attached some character + environment concept art by our artists. Credits go to Lynn, Alyssa, Kyle, and Mikella.

Hi there! I had a question about the VN hybrid rule to make any mini-games easier or skippable (e.g. Story Mode). Would it be against the rules if a player chose to skip the mini-game but then, as a consequence, they don't receive a CG and also get locked out of the Best Ending? They would still be able to get Good and Bad Ending. No narrative plot and dialogue would be lost either, one would just show the dialogue with the CG shown vs. showing the same dialogue but just in basic Story Mode with character sprites and the dialogue box. 

I would love your feedback and recommendations to make sure skipping our mini-games follows the jam's rules, thanks so much!

Hello everyone! My team is looking for Unity and/or Godot programmers to join our team for the jam. Huge plus if you’ve worked with Yarn Spinner before on Unity or Godot, but it is not required!

We’re ok with Ren’Py too, but prefer Godot or Unity first.

Game concept
Our VN idea is a sci-fi action comedy set in a futuristic city where a group of girls have to protect an experimental life form from getting back into the hands of evil tech overlords. Think Big Hero 6, Lilo & Stitch, and Scott Pilgrim, but with the flair and tone of Panty & Stocking and the Girl Juice comic by Benji Nate.

Thank you so much for the feedback, especially on the dialogue! Agree it was a process to get the right balance between exposition and letting the audience come to their own conclusions, especially with a silent player character. We are glad you enjoyed it! <3

This is such a cute game and concept! I loved the little details like the fox jumping up and celebrating when they took a picture of their friend. I would've loved some interactions between the photo subjects and the player character, especially since they are friends. It was a bit hard to determine what I could pass through and what I couldn't, plus a few things like others have said about the scoring. But otherwise, I really enjoyed it. Great job! :)
