This was definitely unique i havent seen anything else like it submitted to the jam (But then again I can’t play 200+ games in my tight schedule) But this game was a genuine delight. The frog popping out his dance moves definitely wasn't expected and it got a good chuckle out of me. The music is wonderful and so is the art!
Thanks so much! We were trying to make it unique, so I'm glad we succeeded. It's a great way to learn new stuff :)
This is delightful, what an amazing concept. I don't know any musical theory so it seems like magic to me that you had it sounding good throughout the whole game. I love playing around with groupings to hear what it sounded like.
At a certain point the clicker was redundant - I didn't want to hear my clicking instead of the music :) At the end it would have been nice to be able to turn off the generation and just play with my whole orchestra without introducing more animals.Maybe add a "concert mode" or something for fun? :)
The art and the the concepts for the animal musicians/instruments is lovely. I think my favorite design is the turkey. The whole game is very well laid out and easy to understand as well.
Thank you for the experience :)
thanks so much! Having a free-play mode is a fantastic idea ❤️
Really awesome! creative idea and it felt really nice to hear the music swell! you did great with this concept c:
yay! Glad you enjoyed it :)
It's a really cool project, I like the idea and how everything continues to the rhythm of the music
Ya keeping everything in sync was the hardest part. Glad you enjoyed it!
love this game!! all the assets in the game are super cute to see and were very well done. the animations were super cute and funny - the frog throwing it back was my favorite haha
congrats to the team on the submission!!
thanks so much! So much credit to our animation artist, we love their work too :)
OOOOOOH MAAAAAH GOOOOOOSH this game wa so freaking cute. The character art is to DIE FOR, amazing job. I loved the animations and the sounds. The entire time I was just trying to get the lil frog to stop crying!! but he wouldn't stop! I love this game A+

I LOVE THESE TWO!!!
yay thank you!!! Froggy will stop crying eventually, just gotta keep merging . Foxolin is also my favorite :)
Really fun concept! Love all the different music and art assets you used in the game and how things kept progressing as the game went along. Good job on this game!
thanks so much!!
Omg the frog is THROWING IT BACK!!! In all seriousness this is very cute and I love all the animal instrument designs. I agree with a previous comment that mentions that the animations could sync better with the instrument rhythms because by the end I wasn't super sure what was coming from what creature. Overall very fun, thanks for sharing your game!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately the syncing was very difficult to get right, especially on the web export. The audio streams in godot have a significant amount of lag that make it hard to sync with both the animations and each other at the same time. Was a good learning experience.
Fantastic concept, and great execution. Loved the music and the sound design, the art style and animation was also amazing. Simple and comfy gameplay with very creative ideas for the instruments.
If there is an update one thing I would like to see is the music sync a little better with the characters, giving the player a bit more control over what sounds/beats and music they make.
Overall a great game jam idea, and well executed, had a lot of fun making the little frog jam out!
Thanks so much! Unfortunately the syncing was indexed very difficult to get right, especially on the web export. The audio streams in godot have a significant amount of lag that make it hard to sync with both the animations and each other at the same time. Was a good learning experience though!
Creative and cute! Can't say I would've thought of creating a... foxiolin? It's satisfying to see the expressions of the 2 characters change, and the music to slowly grow more and more complex. It's very well put together!
thanks so much! We had a lot of fun making it. The Foxolin is definitely my favorite, our artist worked really hard on that one :)
Creative stuff! Really nice job with the audio.
thanks so much! Very happy with how it turned out :)
It's a really cute game. I really liked the little animations, getting to discover the characters who got funnier and funnier and the music is really nice! Great job :)
yay thank you!
It was super relaxing putting the band back together. All the instrument sound collectively really good and the character design is awesome. Great work on the game!
thanks so much!
The music is so fun! Definitely getting some My Singing Monsters vibes here. Very cute, very comfy. I'm so glad I waited for the frog to start busting a move hahaha
thanks so much! The original pitch was definitely inspired by my singing monsters, but we wanted the instruments to get more complex as time went on :)
This is so cute! I was having a lot of fun grouping my animals into different sections as the music built up! I especially liked the fox animation!
glad you liked it! The Foxolin is my favorite too :)
The game was really creative especially the mechanic of merging animals to get new instrumental animal. It felt so worth it to say the frog happy
so glad you liked it!
Having each part of the music tied to the animals is a genius idea. Having to combine them to create higher tier instrument animals is also really cool. The moment the frog started twerking I instantly laughed.
Thanks so much!
Love the adaptive music! Really enjoy listening to each part of the song slowly combine into an actual song. I never got a chance to use the bagpack, thought. Also, amazing frog animation at the end!
Glad you liked it! We know the backpack isn’t super useful, it was originally part of some additional work that got moved to yellow light, but it wasn’t hurting anything so we left it in.
So creative and fun! Great design and music, I kept trying to tell each animal's sound apart, and I love how you interpreted their instruments. Also, the butt dance is amazing XD
Thanks so much! Our artists worked super hard on the animations, very glad you liked them :)
This is wild. I was a huge My Singing Monsters fan when I was younger, and I have for the LONGEST time had an idea for a merge-type game where each successive evolution plays a different tune in a band. So strange to see this niche idea in reality, by someone else. But congrats on beating me to it :)
Besides all that, really nice game! I love the animal designs and how they combine with musical instruments. I liked the use of the palette in the setting as well. I laughed out loud when the frog did the amogus.
One issue I had: When I clicked the tree or moved creatures around, the music got crackly and cut out. Maybe just my potato laptop...
Thanks so much! I definitely encourage still going for the idea yourself, there are quite a few hurdles we didn’t anticipate from the idea alone. Making each melody of an instrument different in isolation but not sound cacophonous all together took several iterations. And making the merge tiers rewarding also took a couple tries.
Good to know it was crackling for you. We had to try and balance the audio buffer size with the lag it produced - reducing the chance of crackling on some browsers (larger buffer) meant a higher chance of the audio being out of sync. Was definitely hard to get right in all circumstance :/
