I love these kinds of games! The trail behind was a nice touch, and the acorn collision felt a little weird. All in all, it was very fun demolishing the ecosystem :D

This one was one of the most satisfying games I've played this jam - nothing but eating all you can and proceeding to eat the rest. it was just so rewarding to devour everything XD I was hoping to eventually consume tHE WORLD but alas I was but limited to trees ;u;

A nice little loop tho when you ended the chain! Well thought out ^^

It's good.

At first, it seemed to me that the progression was not too fast, but after switching to the opportunity to eat flowers, it accelerated and became comfortable.

It's also a great move to add new tools when moving to a new stage)

Good game! I did think that game was like snake where you can't touch the trail but I found out it wasn't. I like the bug is cute, music good too.

Really fun! The game reminds me of Katamari Damacy, where you roll a ball that make anything smaller than itself stick to it. Also love the soundtrack that got more and more layer as the bug got bigger.

Great project! A bug simulator is a really fresh idea, and I loved your creative spin on the loop-theme. The sound and visuals tie it all together nicely. Well done!

I became an intergalactic space bug! Very fun, very polished. Intuitive and straight-forward gameplay, rewarding visuals, very well done!

holy cow this is soooo polished! It was super fun, I loved steering my maniac bug around and getting bigger and bigger. and chasing after ants!! The layered music was also such a nice touch. Beautiful work.

Glad you liked the ants! To be honest the other creatures were an afterthought/bonus because I still had some time left - but I think they add a lot of life to the world!!

It's a very relaxing and addictive game, I liked it

Very fun and satisfaing game, sound design is great, but most importantly, by holding W and A or D, you can make perfect circles. Ending is great too!

Fun game. I really loved the sound design, especially the feedback when eating and how the sounds and pitch kept changing so it never felt stale. It stayed cozy and non-intrusive the whole time too. The bug customization was a really fun addition. The gameplay itself was super intriguing, and I kept pushing forward because I was always curious what I'd be able to eat next. I also loved how the current objects gradually felt smaller over time; it really sold the scale of how much of a beast your bug had become. It gave me some really nice Beautiful Katamari vibes.

Amazing game! The music played in layers after each upgrade is perfect. The gameplay  reminded me of Spore (it was very fun).

The music is a BANGER. the way it layers on top of each other every time you play? soooo cool. The bug customization is really cute, and the item collection is very satisfying! One critique I'd have is that the basic ground texture could be a bit more interesting, obviously you want the items to be visible, but light grass/dirt texture or some varying shades of green would be nice. And then maybe some obstacles like pools of water would be interesting to navigate.

Sooooo satisfying :D  Really great execution on the music + animation too, well done!

The customization in this is so good, little bug pieces all having some unique charms! Really pleasant to play and the great pacing was quite a standout.

Took me aprox 10 seconds to accidentally draw a certain shape and a few more to double down on the masterpiece, that was also great key part of the experience with how smooth that went.

Especially for a solo project, really great. My one main complaint is the inconsistency in pixel sizes between the smaller and larger objects. Also I am not sure I ever got around or understand where the limitation came into play other than the game generally seeming to just go on and on.

Definitely a standout just for how good the customization is. Deserves a spot at the top for that.

Thank you for your comment! Glad you enjoyed the customization!

There is an end of game, once you've reached the final upgrade stage. After a short animation/cutscene, the game loops back to the start :)

incredibly cute game, and the layering of the musical instruments for each size stage? simply stunning.

I love the customization variety, and being able to eat trees is a joy I’ve never known I needed. the trail is also so satisfying. I’ll be disappointed if you’re not at the very least in the top 5 rankings, great game :>

I did not know that being a flashy-eyed lady bug was my true identity.  Now I know. I love everything about your game. Will not be sad if you win this jam.

Aww, thank you so much!!

Very fun!! It was strangely satisfying to get enormous and finally munch all the trees. leaving the trail is a great touch. I like the art a lot and I'm impressed you managed to use the colour scheme, the theme, and all three limitations! The lifecycle loop is a great use of the main limitation.

Thank you very much!!
