- The controls feel smooth, the pixel art is lovely, and I really liked how the upgrades appear after failing - it turns frustration into part of the story. The idea of replacing body parts to keep climbing is both useful mechanically and a nice fit for the theme. Some spike hitboxes and difficulty spikes feel a bit harsh, but overall this is a charming, polished, and memorable jam game. Fun and surprisingly meaningful platformer.

Congratulations! Your game is eligible for a reward in the Defold Challenge! Please write me a DM, or reach out to me on Defold forum ;)
I thought at first it's impossible to beat the level, but then the mechanics arms helped - it turns frustration into part of the story. The controls feel smooth, the pixel art is lovely, and I really liked how the upgrades appear after failing Fun and surprisingly meaningful platformer.
Very cool gameplay, and pretty challenging. I like the implementation of the theme. I wish there were more checkpoint locations, though. Apart from that, gameplay and music were great! Good entry.
Love it! You’ve combined the theme and gameplay really well. I cleared it with all body parts replaced and am now trying to play it again to unlock more ending CGs. Great job!
I love the pixel art aesthetic with the hiker and how when I was about to give up because I couldn’t make it past the wall spikes (very fun use of the platformer classic) I was able to upgrade my arms into robot/machine arms. Nice unexpected twist. I couldn’t make it past the second level even with the next upgrade.
So much fun to play, a joy!
it is abit hart and i like the graphics
Very cool platform game. Your art is very good. The backgrounds and sprites are very well done.
Your controls were smooth but maybe it was your collision why i was getting hit when i shouldnt have.
But honestly congrats on your first game! If you polish this up ill forsure be back to test it.
cute graphics and the character art reminds me of dave the diver a bit. I think a few points of feedback i would give are -
1. Did not really see the theme fit honestly even though i actually went a decent way into the game. would love to have the character have a bionic arm to grapple with or something like that which would be cool!
2. Some of the hitboxes of the spikes seemed a little random to me/ got caught up in areas where i dont think i should've died.
Thanks for making this and i saw it was your first game so i do hope you keep making more!
Thanks a lot for playing the game and for the feedback!
1. That's exactly what we have! Once you die a handful of times in the same level you can unlock it (and more body parts in later levels). Your upgrades might also influence the outcome of the game
2. Yes I agree, we still need to do some further rebalancing with those spike hitboxes
WOAH COOL GAME. Nice use of the theme as well and love the character design. great job
OMG I really love this game, the entire concept is conveyed with such beautiful texture. I really love how you incorporate the gradual process of self-alienation in technological advancement in the gameplay, when I exchanged my body to robot, the transpose of the background music came just in time. The art style is also great. I love this game so much this is such a great idea conveyed perfectly. Definitely enjoyed playing it to the end!
Heyy thanks a lot for the kind words! So happy you enjoyed our game and summarized our idea in such an eloquent way haha.
And if you like the art, you should definitely check out the game after the rating process. We are already in the progress of redoing/upgrade some of the art in more detail like we originally wanted to but failed due to time.
Very interesting concept. I almost gave up and then it happened. Very well done!
WOW this game was really good, i loved the art and atmosphere, i beat the game first without using the upgrades, had to do a second run to see what would happen if i used them and it did not disappoint, i love how you weave the gameplay into the narrative in that way and how the game can be read as a metaphor on over reliance on technology and especially generative AI and how that can lessen and destroy our experiences.
Thank you so much for your nice comment and for playing the game! We are super happy to hear that you enjoyed and appreciated the theme we were going for.
And congrats on doing it without any upgrades for the very first time!
Controls are really good, character is made really well!!! I like the gameplay and the fact that i can upgrade my arms into a machine. But the collisions/hitboxes on some spikes feel a bit off. Like i didn't touch them yet but still i died..... But you def did a great job!!!!
Thank you very much for the feedback and for playing our game! We might still need to adopt the hitboxes a bit, so avoid this from happening. Hoping to do that in the coming weeks :)
Its a cute platformer! The controls for jump and grab feels nice, but I hope the camera can show what is in front, I always die by running over the ledge.

Many thanks for playing and the feedback! Indeed, there are some spots were the players kind of need to do a leap of faith if they don't yet have some of the upgrades. Might need to rethink those a bit :)
The controls feel really smooth! It was a bit challenging for me though, and I had to retry each level quite a few times. Great work!
Thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback! Glad to hear the controls felt good. And indeed, we will have to still see a bit about the balancing, to try to walk the very fine line between rewarding and making people throw their keyboards haha
I almost gave up. This is really fun to play. I'm saving this to play later also. The character is so cute!
Thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback! We will try to polish and balance it even more in the future, so hope you will have even more fun by then!
I like the way you made the game easier incrementally based on failings, which I did often. Nice work!
Thanks playing! There might also be something if you manage to finish the game without upgrades (but that takes endurance, probably even too much haha)
Short, sweet, and super fun. Thanks for the game!
Thank you for playing!
I loved how responsive the game is, great job!
Thanks a lot for playing!
