Fairly interest gameplay loop. Although the vulture is way too slow in the early game. It should take around 10 minutes or less to win the game given the nature of jam submissions. (Did win btw cool animations)

I like the concept, but maybe for a jam, I'd prefer a slightly faster-paced version. Still, I played it for about 10 minutes, and you can really appreciate the speed change from when you start to when you get a couple of upgrades. It's entertaining!
I really liked the art and especially music
Honestly I ended up playing three times. The first time I was still figuring out the mechanics and didn’t manage to bring the meat. The second time I didn’t pay attention to the time. And on the third try I finally won. Thanks!
I really like the sound and the concept quite a lot. Nice work! I do appreciate the slow build of character progression, that was nice. The initial movement was very slow, I would like to see that change. Also the text was comically small. My monitor is very high res but I had to get my face right up there to see it. Still, overall quite a good game and the concept was pretty awesome.
I was really hooked by the splash screen & music, nice work! I would love to play with a controller so I could really swoop around with the music, maybe that's just me. I bet the current game loop would be more satisfying with some more audio/visual feedback when picking up and dropping things off: I made a couple round trips with no meat because I pressed the wrong button and didn't notice!
at first the bird felt a bit too slow for me, but after the first upgrade it started to feel much better. so maybe the very beginning is just a little too slow, but the controls become understandable pretty fast
one small thing — the N / M buttons felt a bit strange to me, mostly because these keys are not very common for games, so it took a moment to get used to them
i really liked the soundtrack choice and the overall atmosphere. the game really gives this feeling of some distant unknown world, and it was easy to get into the mood
my main issue is that after around 10 minutes, i felt like not enough was happening. i only got two upgrades, and there was almost no pressure or big change in the gameplay. the core loop is actually nice and kind of puts you into a flow, especially with the music and atmosphere, but i think it needs more variety, faster balance progression, or some new mechanics/events to keep it interesting longer
overall, cool mood and solid base, just needs more things happening inside the loop
Thanks for the feedback! I agree there could be other things coming in to keep it fresh but it was already so much work for the jam we didn't really have time to expand it. Originally picking up the meat was supposed to be a fishing like mini-game and i also thought about having to scare off rival vultures but we started only 4 days before the end of the jam so it was enough to implement an entire stat system.
I love the amount that yall put into this game! I could really sit down and spend a lot of time in this lolol.
Played through to the end, I was sad that I couldn't keep upgrading speed and zoom around the map, would be awesome if the vulture followed the mouse, that way it would feel more natural like swooping through the air.
Nice work on this! Keep up the game dev work!
Amazing idea for your concept!
I’m going to echo some feedback where the start can be a bit slow, so that might just be a bit more tweaking for early game balancing, but otherwise I really like the idea of the dynamic of evolution with the entity.
Great job, and congratulations on finishing the jam!
The game idea is smart, and the gameplay different and fresh, even if a bit slow in the beginning. Perhaps you could add a little carcass really near so it's easy to go up a couple of level and enjoy the whole game faster.
I found a funny little bug, can't attach picture, but for a while i had XX.899999999999999/100 energy
The game has cool character/foliage art, nice music and starts to feel good once I have a bit more speed and carrying strength. The game does feel grindy, especially for an intended 30-minute playtime. Thematically though, I dig the idea of servicing a creature you don't understand in exchange for unnatural boosts to an animal's evolutionary functions
glad you enjoyed the art, I tried something new and made the art this time. we want to add some more things that could help speed up the playtime but was built more around player discovery but just didnt have enough time to do everything we wanted. thematically I wanted to try to aim for something that was pretty different :)
Love the concept of this. It was a little grindy at the start but felt great once I leveled up!
Very cool premise!!! Would be cool to see the meat an the entity grow visually based on the amount of meat they have/consumed. Great job!!
