Hi everyone,

My first game was published a month ago, but it is still not indexed. It doesn't show up in searches or tags.

I checked the indexing guide and my settings are fine. I sent a support email 3 weeks ago but haven't received a reply yet.

Could someone please look into this?

Thanks!

Bruh, you are waiting for a month and still got no result. I was literally frustated in 3 days after releasing my project(Kinetic Novel). This means I need to have patience like you. I hope you get indexed fast and me too.

Thanks for the support! I checked out your project as well, and I must say the visuals are really impressive. I hope both of our games get indexed very soon! Good luck!

Thank you

Bro can you tell me any suggestions on my project, also any tips you can give me as I am new to development.

I'm also a beginner, so take this lightly. Not every player will catch the meaning or vibe you intended, so it's important to make things clear and easy to understand. Good luck with your project!

By the way what will you rate it out of 10. Also were the dialogues boring.

Honestly, I’d give it a 3/10, but that’s just my personal taste since I don't usually play this genre. However, the atmosphere you created is a great start for a first project The dialogue length felt fine to me. Good luck!

Thank you for your suggestion, I would try to improve it more.

Congrats bro your game finally got indexed.

Thanks a lot I really hope your game gets indexed soon as well. Fingers crossed for you.

did you got any boost in views after getting indexed

(+1)

It’s better than before, but no huge spike yet. I’m planning to stay active with regular updates and devlogs to boost visibility

by the way were you promoting it on social media.

Not yet! I only recently realized how important it is, so I’m getting ready to start promoting it.

Yeah, you should do it. By promoting on I got 100+ views and 32 browser plays in 9 days.

Oh, I see. I should probably start preparing for promotion soon.

Yo, you changed your name. Bro can sometimes your views be bot cause yesterday I got a lot views that is not expected.

(+1)

I'm not sure, as my views were normal yesterday. But maybe your new devlog helped? It could be one of the reasons!

I've let our admins know about your ticket.

Thank you so much for your help!

what does ticket mean, actually I am new to itch.io and development community.

Moderator

When you contact support, your message is entered into a ticket database so that itch.io staff can track work on it.

Thank yo

So should I contact support so that I can get indexed, I actually don't know much. It's been 3-4 days since I publish my Kinetic novel demo.

Moderator(+1)

...As explained in the Search & Browse FAQ, 3-4 days is a very short time.

Hi admin, actually yesterday I got a lot views which is not expected is it due to some glitch or bots also will it hurt my game perfomance or something

Moderator(+1)

I’m not an admin, an admin is unlikely to see your post, and your game can be found in other ways, for example from your profile.

ok thank you

Sorry for my mistake, I have tried to delete it after your post but I can't. I am very sorry for my action. Also is my another post on feedbacks channel is it in correct place

Moderator(+1)

I don’t understand. It’s okay.

By the will I be never able to post there again

Also will I never be able to post into that channel or is it temporary. Again sorry for my mistake

I just posted this exact issue, over a month and still not indexed. The mods archived my thread, and told me to contact support which I already did. Crazy.

Next time please read the rules, because they tell you what you need to include in a post you make about contacting support. Like you already did, in fact.

Or if I’ve read the rules, and missed that part, and you know what it is…you could just help me out and say “Hey you’re missing X/Y/Z” thing, which in the case was just a ticket number? I don’t mean to be rude, it’s just a little elitist to keep referring me to the rules (3 times now) when you know what the exact rule is I’m missing.

…Yes, that, like you can see everyone else doing, for example in this topic.

To be direct about what I’m seeing: across both threads, the pattern has been to point at the rules without saying what’s missing, then add some snark when I push back on that. The ‘like you already did, in fact’ and the leading ellipsis on your last reply aren’t subtle. I get that you handle this question (probably a lot) and it gets tedious. But itch is positioned as a platform for small devs, and a dev’s first interaction with a mod shapes how they read the community. Not asking for anything in particular, just putting it on the thread so it’s said.

guys you must put it puplic from the section (edit game) in the last option put it puplic
